This is the highlight of my day, when class is over, band practice ends quickly and I can get to Dan. I walked with a certain pep in my step until I got to his dorm complex. I smiled nicely to the person working the welcome desk and made my way up to his building. I always have to wait for someone to walk by because we don’t live in the same complex, and my student ID doesn’t work to get me in.

Once I was in the elevator, I waited impatiently until I got to his door. I rushed out of the elevator impatiently, before I even knocked, his door swung open and he greeted me with his million dollar smile. It was one of the first things that attracted me to him during freshman orientation, that and his perfect-muscular, athletic build. He was on his high school wrestling team, but he keeps up with his physical health in college.

Um.....

I am so confused about this story. It jumps all over the place it is not cohesive I have no idea what is happening to the two main characters. It just ended weird and all in all a hot mess. On the plus side I am interested to find out what ends up happening because supposedly this is a bwwm book but yet both of the main characters are white?

The story is very short, even for a first part. The way it ends, it seems like it really is over.
