Love Is Not Enough #2

Under the Surface

“I don’t trust men, they only ever take what they want and throw you away like yesterday’s trash. The day I met Dex was no different, until I started to let him in. He could see ME, not the person I have become to avoid being hurt. Then I had to question everything I thought I knew, because he was different.”

Traumatised and screwed up, hard ass Ruby Sinclair never stays too long in one place, never letting anyone get too close. Always running to the only protection she knows –her brother. But a chance meeting with Dex, changes everything.

“My life was perfect and then one day everything changed, my whole life was turned upside down, FOREVER. I became a shell of the man I use to be. Then Ruby happened, she was the breath of fresh air I didn’t know I needed, or wanted. How can letting her in feel so wrong, but so right at the same time?”

Dex has inner demons that torment him constantly. It’s meant to be just for the night; the last thing he expected is a tattooed beauty oozing sex appeal to leave him breathless. Once he’s had a taste of her, will he be able to stop?

With an undeniable sexual attraction that devours them, neither one wants more, but both don’t want anything less.
When push comes to shove, will either of them give an inch?

Can he teach me to trust again?
Could she teach me to love again?

They were destined to cross paths... Because sometimes when two broken people come together, they can once again become whole.

***Can be read as a standalone. Some parts of the book do intertwine with book one and may contain spoilers. ***

I was lucky enough to be given an ARC of Under The Surface and im so glad I had the opportunity to read this book. I absolutely loved it, it sucked me in from the very start to the end, I felt emotionally evolved with all the characters in the book even Sam who I really wanted to slap early on. this book had me feeling so many emotions as we discovered Ruby and Dex's life journey, they both had such tortured pasts both from different circumstances that tore my heart to read but that heartbreaking past eventually brought them together and helped them both to heal. I cried quite a few times from Amanda's beautiful letters and Jash made me laugh, he's such a man whore. Harlow melted my heart especially with her Show and Tell at school letting everyone meet Ruby her new mum.
Ruby is the most strong willed caring, unselfish person wanting to keep Amanda's memory alive and her presence felt even at her wedding, she absolutely blew me away!
This book was Fantastic!! I would recommend this to anyone and cant wait to see more of Ruby, Dex, Joe, Jash, Sam and the whole gang.

This is Book 2 in the Love is not Enough series. I'm reading backwards so this is actually for the first book i have read by this author.

This the story of Ruby and Dex. Ruby turns up to her Stepbrother Ty's town hoping to be closer to him. Over the years she has pretty much run away from him thinking if she stuck around she would ruin his life with her erratic and violent behavior. Ever since she and Ty escaped from a bad foster home she has struggled with her emotions believing she is well and truly broken. On the outside she is a tough bad girl and keeps everyone at a distance but under the surface she's broken and lost. Dex is one of Ruby's stepbrothers friends. He works as a tattoo artist and uses this and playing the drums as his outlet for his anger and frustration at the hand life has dealt him. He's quiet and withdrawn from everyone feeling truly lost. Until he meets Ruby!

I actually really loved the story-line i won't spoil it for you but be prepared for a few tears to be shed for both of them. Both of these characters broke my heart, the horrors for both of them was hard to read. Ruby is the type of girl most would avoid but under it all she's a very sad individual with a heart of gold to the people that she cares about. Dex is the type of guy you would look at him and think bad boy when in fact he's a lonely family man who wants his life back. The struggle for both of them is hard they both have very different problems and there are obstacles on both sides for them to get over. i found the story flowed quite well and kept me turning pages.

I also really enjoyed the supporting cast. There are quite a few of them but you aren't overloaded with info on them they're just there waiting for their stories to be told!

I'm going on to read book one now. I think this book can be read as stand alone but i feel it would maybe have been a benefit to be in on it from the start with book 1. I would recommend this book to anyone.

What if the love of your life was taken from you in a horrible accident?
How would you cope?
What if you had to make the heartbreaking decision to save either your wife or unborn child?
What would you do?

What if you have moved from foster home to foster home, having to endure the sexual advances of your foster “brother”.

This is Dex and Ruby’s story.

Dex, understandably, has never gotten over the loss of his wife. They were meant to be together forever. But that all changed on their wedding day when their car was hit by a drunk driver. As a result, Dex spirals out of control, and makes decisions he knows he may later regret.

Ruby was abandoned by her parents when she was a young child. She moves from home to home, until she finally feels part of a family, that is until the nightly visits from her foster brother, David, start……….and don’t stop until Ty, another foster kid, and Ruby make their escape, to try and start their lives again.

Dex and Ruby’s paths cross when she gets a job at the same tattoo parlour that he works at.

They both know they are attracted to each other, but both of them also know that they don’t want a relationship. But fate has other plans for Dex and Ruby.

The more time they spend together, the more they both realise that this isn’t just attraction, and in some ways that scares them both.

How can Dex let another woman into his heart, after everything he has been through?
How can Ruby ever trust another man again?

It’s not until David resurfaces and threatens Ruby, that Dex realises he would do anything to keep her safe. But their relationship was never going to be easy. They both know they have to work hard to make two broken pieces somehow make a whole.

Things are going along fine, until Ruby goes to the rescue of a young kid that also works with them. When she arrives at his house, she is confronted by the boy’s father and nine other than David. She is severely beaten and in turn is taken to hospital.

When Dex hears the news, the first thing that comes to mind is “this cannot be happening again”. Dex can’t find it in himself to walk through the hospital doors. Last time he was there, the woman he loved went in, but never came out!! He can’t go through that again.

Ruby takes Dex’s no show at the hospital, as a sign that they are over. Throughout her healing process, of about 6 weeks, Ruby stays with a friend, and doesn’t hear a single word from Dex.

Was she right to never trust a man again?
Is their relationship really over, before it had really begun?
And what will happen when Dex realises that he loves Ruby?
Are these two destined for a happy ever after?

WOW!!! What can we say?

We have been waiting for a book like this for a long time. A book that makes you realise that it doesn’t matter how broken you are, if you have friends and family that love and care for you, that’s half the battle won.

Ruby and Dex may get their happy ever after, but we can guarantee you, you will not be able to finish this book, without shedding quite a few tears. We know we did.

A definite 5 star read

I have been so excited about getting my hands on Under the Surface and I was so pleased it was entirely worth the wait!
Ruby and Ty are foster children thrown into an awful situation. But the one good thing that came out of all the horror Ruby was subjected to, was considering Ty her true brother and family.

Excerpt:
Ty has shown me it's not about who your blood is, it's about the people you have in your life that matter.

But with Ruby's latest move, to be closer to her brother, she genuinely wants to make some roots. To finally 'belong' with the brother who saved her from the terror of her foster days...

Excerpt:
Wait until I tell Ty. I was here a day and I had a job, now today a place to live. Moving here is proving to be a good thing; maybe running from your problems isn't so bad after all.

With a place to say, a walk in job in the best tattoo shop in town and many friendships to bloom from this, Ruby really is doing well. She even manages to find space in her life for Joe. A kid she offered a job within the shop...they would have more in common than they realised!

Excerpt:
I think I see myself in Joe, the outcast, feeling stupid because drawing just makes sense.

But out of all the relationships Ruby has, Dex would be the highly strung, emotionally charged and hot as hell one!
Ruby instantly understanding that Dex holds onto some unspoken pain, they shared some kind of bond over their broken pasts.

But would Dex ever be able to move on with the grief he feels, despite having such a beautiful daily reminder?
Also, could Ruby make sense of her feelings and also remain true to herself? Letting anyone in was not part of the plan.

Excerpt:
Maybe it's not time that heals all wounds, but having people in your life that see your scars and accept they're a part of who you are.

A touching and heartbreaking story of friendships, facing up to commitments, moving forward with grief (but never forgetting) and most importantly 'belonging' - which I think some foster children may really desperately desire.

Final beautiful excerpt...
Have you ever loved someone so much it consumes you, that every breath you take is for them, every beat of your heart...

An absolute must read, brilliantly flowing, dual perspective story that had me hooked from the first to the very last page. Just brilliant.

Final excerpt:
I knew he would get it, and now I feel like I have exposed myself to him. The daily raw intense pain I feel; the bad memories that define who I have become. Some days I hate myself because I have let someone else define me, when I should find the inner strength...to take control back.

5 rock my world stars!! So much happens in this book that I am literally just in awe.... another one for the favorites list.

Ruby was an orphan who went through hell and then she met Ty. And I know what you are thinking..no Ty is not the love of her life but her "person", her brother. He gets her our of that hell and takes her on to a better life or so he believes. Fast forward now Ruby is an adult who doesn't stay in one spot too long (and I will not tell you why that is for you to find out), but moving back to be around her brother, Ty, again just feels right. What she didn't realize is the group of people Ty had surrounded himself with are all a big "family". Well Ruby doesn't do feelings but if she did these people managed to work their way in. Her one big, tatted, hot, sexy and get under skin problem is Dex. Something about him makes her want things she has never wanted. But Dex has a ton of baggage and this can only end one way....

Dex met the woman of his dreams and he married that woman but not until after she was pregnant with his baby. Amanda is his world...fast forward three years in walks this stubborn, hot, and straight up feisty woman, Ty's sister, Ruby. Man what is wrong with him he can't get her out of his head! But the guilt of it all is too much. Can he love two women?!?!

Wow. First of all this author made me invest so much into this book. I laughed so much, I broke down and hurt for these people, I got angry and wanted to tear throats out, but most of all I had hope. Gosh this book was so emotionally draining in such a good way. At one point when Dex is looking back and finally letting out what happened I had to put the book down and clear my head because I was being destroyed. There are so many parts of this book that make you feel. I don't want to give this book away so I can't really say all that I want but this is a book you will not want to put down.

These two broken souls come together and all these other little pieces all fall together. This book creates this family of friends and I just love it. I love every one of them. Jash is the bestest friend ever!! And joe....I am so glad he met them when he did. Harlow is a beautiful soul and I believe she is what brought it all together. Even Oliver!! I hope everybody gets their own book because I am so invested!! I could go on forever but I will stop. This wasn't a quick Sally meets Joe and they get married and live happily ever after in all of a matter of weeks...this was a real life take the good with the bad love story and I am so glad I was given a chance to read this book!! MUST READ

**I received this book as a review copy through Quirky Blind Date with a Book and in return gladly gave my honest opinion**

When I first started this book, I knew just by the prologue it was going to be an emotional ride for me. I had no idea what to expect and I really did not see half the things that did happen coming. I was so sucked into the world of Ruby and Dex. My heart literally broke a thousand times for these two. Just when I thought, finally they can have peace and move on, things would happen and I was right back to square one. I totally got why these two had their fair share of problems. Both had went through so much, and they both didn’t know how to move on and be happy.
Ruby has become one of my favorite female characters. She’s got a don’t f*** with me attitude and she doesn’t take any crap from anyone. At all. She will not hesitate to put you in your place. I loved that about her. She’s strong and independent. I knew she was running from something when the book started talking more about her, I just had no clue what that was.
Dex, oh man he is another one of my favorites too. I really couldn’t help but fall in love with him. He comes off as a bad boy, but that’s only what he wants people to see. Now, Dex, he broke my heart over and over. Especially when we get his POV. I just cannot imagine going through what he did, and I love the fact that finally, finally! He got the bigger picture. At times I did want to smack him around and let him know what an idiot he was being. I really did. But I couldn’t, all I could do was read through the rough patches and hope for the best.
Overall, this was a great read. There is a lot of push and pull between Dex and Ruby, so be ready to get pissed off, sad, then happy. At one point I did have to walk away and take a break, just because my emotions was getting the best of me. BUT that’s what make a book so great to read. If an author can pull you into the book and keep your interest, yeah, it’s a 5 star read. I give props to Jaye for sucking me in this story and I highly recommend checking this book out. I can’t wait to read more by Jaye and l’m looking forward to seeing what she comes up with next!

Under the Surface by Jaye Cox
6 Stars

Heartbreakingly Awesome

This is Jaye’s second book and what a book, I think I cried from chapter one, the gut wrenching pain both these characters experience is almost soul destroying.
What Ruby has experienced in her life is horrific, abused physically and mentally she projects a hard exterior, her tattoo’s add to that armour which she hides behind, believing that every man is the same, that is except Ty, who may not be her brother by birth, but since they met he has always been there for her, she may not like everything he has to say to her, but at least he is honest and cares, he’s the only person she has, and here she is again back a his door and determined to make this time different, fate also seems to think its time for something new.
Dex has experience with a whole different world of pain, not only loosing the love of your life, but also being asked to choose between them and your child to live, Dex is in a world of pain and guilt, and really just going through the motions of living, but not living.
They are very attracted to each other, both fight it for different reasons.
It’s the first book where I can honestly say, at times I did wonder if Jaye could get them to start to heal, and start to move forward.
I really feel like Jaye just put her hand in my chest and ripped it out and left it lying bleeding on the floor, I found it such an emotionally moving book to read, Rubys fear you can almost taste it, Dex’s guilt at times seems suffocating, this just adds to the emotional charge that runs the full length of the book.
I could not put it down when I started reading in , completed it in one sitting , its now one of my favourite books ever
Cant wait to read her next book

Omg Jaye did it again! Absolutely Great Book!
This is Dex And Ruby's story and it's one that will have you laughing and crying and mad all in one book.
Dex lost the only one he has ever loved.so he doesn't allow anyone to get close to him.
Ruby was raised in foster care and was abused in a home and has issues with trust and getting close to anyone.
Dex and Ruby's story is such an emotional book . I found myself wanting to hug Dex and take away his pain. Ruby doesn't allow anyone to touch her or anyone to get close to her.she meets Dex and it was only supposed to be a one time thing but when she shows up at her foster brothers Ty house she wasn't expecting to to run into Dex again . These two will have you wanting to yell knock it off and then laughing and crying and cheering for them. I think the thing that got me the most were the letters Dex's late wife wrote to him and His new Wife to be. I ugly cried hard on those. I have read this arc 3 times because I loved it so much and What A Great Book for these two to finally fine the happiness they so well deserve.

I was so lucky to receive an ARC of this book.
I would say that this is another AMAZING book from Jaye Cox.
I never thought i would love Dex too because on the first book he was quiet and mysterious type of guy. It was like he doesn't care about other people. What we didn't know was he suffered so much pain in life.
Both Dex and Ruby suffered tragic past and they both broken inside. They are both afraid to love because of it but they can't control what they feel. I love that all of Dex's friends accepted Ruby in his circle of friends just like how Bell's became close to each of them. I also love how Oliver became a part of their group. One of my favorite scene and a very emotional one was when Dex read the letter from Amanda, and when Ruby also read the letter from Amanda. It was so heartbreaking. I can't even imagine how it would feel to write those letters. I also love the song choices. Another great thing about this book is that Jaye wrote a few chapters from Dex's point of view especially the most intriguing scenes And most especially I love the "Happy Ever After".

So good!

After reading the first book in this series, I had to power on into book 2. It's now midnight and past my bedtime, but I couldn't stop reading!
I like that the author gives you a heads up about Australian sayings and UK English terms being used. There are still a great deal of grammatical issues like in the last book, but the story line is good enough to overlook for the most part.
Ruby and Dex are both broken. They've had crap hands dealt to them in life and neither feel like they deserve to be happy. This story unfolds with great drama over their relationship. Their friends help lighten the story. I hope there is a book 3 with another couple from this series!

When two stubborn badass people meet they collide! Even if they're so hard on them selves, thinking they don't deserve that kind of love they still made it and gave love a second chance. I love their hot and cold attitudes and thank goodness for their HEA! In the first book, Dex was the kind of dark and mysterious inked guy. Now, you'll finally understand why!

Let me start first by saying that I have read "Unexpected Consequences" the first book in the Love is not enough series and I really enjoyed it. So being chosen to read for a review is an honor. I was given this as an ARC for an honest review (I always find this disclaimer funny because I will ALWAYS give an honest review). I will also try to not be a spoiler.

This story centers around Ruby and Dex. Ruby has decided to come "home" to where her foster brother (Ty) lives and Dex is not only a close friend of his but also has his own past to recover and cope with. They are immediately attracted to each other but fight it, not only are each of them highly combustible on their own but together could prove to be volatile. I think of them as a firework... it could be beautiful but really it's just an explosion; it's quick, dangerous and you could get injured if not careful.
The author, Jaye CoxJaye Cox, immediately sucks you into their world. Every character is very well developed, the dialogue sounds very natural and I could close my eyes and picture being there with everyone. Hanging out at their local pub Paulies and listening to the music or maybe having my next tattoo done by Dex... or having Pizza night at Jash and Ruby's house with Joe, Sam, Romeo, Ty and the rest of the gang. She creates these characters and brings them to life so much that you are drawn in and your heart is involved. You feel their pain and happiness, I felt like reaching into the story and wanting to hug and comfort each one and then cheer them on when good things happen.
But this story of Dex and Ruby will taken you on an emotional ride and I will say when I finished the book this morning I had to put an ice pack on my eyes because I found myself sobbing into a pillow. I can say that of the literally HUNDREDS or more of books I have read, there are probably only 6 that I know will stay with me and make me think of them long after I finished, the kind of book that becomes part of your soul. This is one of those books, and I will NEVER forget it. I can honestly say that "Under the surface" got under my skin. I HIGHLY recommend this book and even though it's book 2 in the Love is Not Enough series it can be enjoyed as a stand alone.... I know I will read it again, and again, etc
Thank You Jaye Cox for creating such an amazing story with realistic cast of characters that you gave life to. Words are not enough to describe how much I absolutely LOVED this book, I'm only hoping this review did your work justice.

This is the Second Book in Jaye's Series Love Is Not Enough.

Jaye you had me hooked from the minute that I picked it up.

Dex and Ruby were two characters that I instantly fell in love with.
Both of them trying to escape a past that has left them broken and untrusting of other people.
They were simply drawn together by the need of some form of love - but not committment.

There were many scenes in this book that totally ripped my heart apart but no more than the dancing that occurred at the end of the book. (I'm not going to say any more than that - otherwise I'll give away a major story plot.)

Ruby is rough - unlike any other female character that I have read - that is why I love her so much. She doesn't let anyone into her inner circle unless she can trust them completely. She avoids committment like the plague. The abuse she suffered as a young teenager has left her very wary of all men, except her 'brother' Ty, that is until she meets Dex.

Dex has suffered his own heartache in life and as a result cannot and will not form a permanent relationship with any female. He is a male whore. He, like Ruby, is rough, tattooed and has no intention of committing to another person. He lost his life's purpose in a way no other person should ever have to experience. His carries a world of guilt upon his shoulders because of a decision that he had no choice but to make.

I love the way in which Jaye has written this story. It pulls at your very heart strings and never once lets go. I cannot count the amount of times that I cried during this book - but I also must say that I did have numerous laughs along the way too.

Jaye has brought back all our favourite characters from her first novel, Unexpected Consequences, as well as introducing some new ones like Oliver, Joe and Lizzy.

Congratulations Jaye on yet another book that has touched my heart.
I wait with bated breath for the next book in the series.

To other readers, do yourself a favour and get this book - you won't regret it!!!

Received and ARC copy of Under the Surface.

Let me start by saying Jaye is one talented lady! Her second book in the Love is not enough series is hands down fantastic!!

You do not have to read Unexpected Consequences (UC) first but let's face it. It's great too so why not.

Dex is band mate and friends of main characters in UC and has his own story to tell. Tragedy rocked Dex's life and is closed off from ever loving again. This is his story.

Ruby is introduced briefly in UC as a back story for her brother Ty. A troubled woman with a closet full of anger and covered in tattoos she's trying to settle down near her brother Ty.

The two meet and there's an explosion of Lust and they can't seem to stay away from each other. Is Ruby the girl Dex needs to look at life again as a promise of more or will be closed to the idea?

You've got to pick this up and read it. Download it to your e-reader and get busy! It's explosive, sexy, dominating, and just all around fantastic!

I was given an ARC of this book to read and write an honest review.

Wow! What a fantastic story! This second book in the series is even better than the first, I could not put it down.
The story between Dex and Ruby is very explosive as both broken characters gradually crawl their way towards healing.
Their background stories are deep and disturbing while showing such a strength of character at the same time. The surrounding characters are supportive and either extremely fun loving, caring or so brash you could slap them! That's how well Jaye has written this story- you become embedded in it and the characters.
At times the story made me angry, laugh, sit on the edge of my seat with fear or down right tear up. I want to read it again!

I can not wait until the next book in this series and totally recommend this book to everyone. Jay Cox is an awesome author who is going to rock your socks off too!

This was a explosively heartbreaking read. The background stories for both characters are devastating in their "this is something that DOES happen" way. Dex and Ruby are two broken people that aren't sure how to be whole again. A man and a woman who together are so much more than they are apart. Dex is the bad boy who had so much darkness in him that he needs to keep everyone away. Ruby has been traumatized to the point that she's sarcastic and only allows her brother to see the real her. When they meet, it causes both their worlds to tilt. The side characters are written in such a way that you love, hate, and want to throat punch some of them. There is love, pain, suspense, and tears contained within the pages. You will laugh, cringe, become angry, and cry with these characters. Make sure you have the tissues handy. It could get ugly...

Jaye Cox is definitely one of my new favorites. She's sure to give her readers just what they need.

**Book 2 in series but can be read as a standalone**

This book gave me all the feels!! What an amazingly story!

I loved Ruby and Dex!They both had tragic pasts and were deeply damaged souls. The chemistry was instantaneous and undeniable. Watching the push and pull between Dex and Ruby, as they try to navigate the physical while attempting to remain emotionally disconnected, was entertaining as well as HOT! I laughed, cried and rooted for these two to be able to overcome their pasts and find a future that was not filled with pain and emotional distance from life.

I loved the depth and emotion that this story evoked in me! For only being the second novel from Author Jaye Cox, I was extremely impressed with the depth of the story and richness of the characters. I look forward to more from this author in future!

I received this ARC for an honest review.

How do you move on when your world has been upended and you live with the constant guilt of that certain day that started it all. Insert Ruby, a tattooed beauty that is as ruff and tumble as they come, who shakes things up not only within her brother Ty's circle of friends, but she starts to break down some barriers that Dex had built around around himself. I loved this book, Ruby being not the usual dainty girl and Dex, being a man that every girl hopes to meet. The journey these 2 takes us on is a total rollercoaster of emotions, I couldn't put this book down, the author had me sucked in from the beginning and it was very easy to relate to the characters. I am very much looking forward to the next book in this series! Well done JC!

**ARC RECEIVED FOR HONEST REVIEW**

Well hell !!! Even though i felt that this started slow once i got into it i could not put it down !! Dex and Ruby's story is one packed with such emotion, heartache and inner turmoil for each character that you don't know who your heart breaks the most for. But it's broken up with some laughs courtesy of Jash luckily. It really such an amazing story story and is brilliantly written. at times i wanted to climb in the book and punch Dex for how he was acting but once i found out why i could understand his hesitancy and the boundaries he'd put around his heart.
Absolutely brilliant but tissues WILL be needed !!!

This has been one of the most amazing stories I have reading in a while! These Characters are so stubborn, so broken, so hurt.. yet they need each other so much and just refuse to accept it! I found myself yelling at the book at times hoping they would hear my pleas to shut up and become the people they needed to be to each other!
You just cant get enough of the pain and heartache they each feel, knowing only they can heal each other. All I wanted throughout the book is for them to realize what they needed to see in each other and give to each other. this book with make you sad, feel pain, hurt, laugh, cry, yell... its a ride you wont forget. And one you will want to share with many.

This book....I loved it! I liked the first book Unexpected Consequences, but it wasn't a 5 star read for me. This book however was amazing. I loved Dex and his struggles. I could empathize with him so much and pray to God I never am in his shoes. Ruby was hilarious and I loved how feisty she was even though she was damaged inside. I loved how you also got to see things for Amanda's point of you too. It made me want to break down and write similar letters being you truly never know what could happen. I laughed and got teary eyed with this one and would definitely recommend.

I was lucky enough to read an ARC of this book and wow!! I love it!
Dex is a mix of emotions and torn up inside, but when he meets Ruby, everything changes. He's not sure if he can do this, with her or anyone else for that matter. Dex and Ruby take you on a roller coaster ride of emotion. The sex is steamy and sensual and the push and pull of their story will leave you wanting more!
This book is a must read!!

Words..Words.. I'm not sure what to say. This was an amazing book! Jaye Cox did it again! There are not many books that i can read in a day and i did this one. I had a hard time putting it down. I love the Dex and Ruby story! Jaye had me frustrated, sad crying ugly tears and happy throughout the whole book. Ruby comes off as a badass because of her past and Dex with his heartache. But they still collide. Again, an amazing book. I cannot wait to read more from Jaye Cox!

Hell yes this book is dynamite. What a ride and some steamy sex along the way.

Don't hesitate, pick up this book to read when it gets released - You won't be disappointed.

If you thought book one ripped out your heart and shredded it to pieces then you just wait - this one will make it minced burger meat.

Dex & Ruby let us have it all. Also a wonderful way to revisit old characters........wow wow wow.

This is the story that involves Ruby. It shows her past and the reason she is the woman she is today. Ty is her brother and has always been there for her. Dex is her one night stand that ends up being a pain and also the one to help her mend. This story has heart ache, heart break, love, friendship and so much pain. All this makes the story fantastic. The parts I will not forget are the letters and the dance. Another unforgettable part is little humming bird.
