She and her boyfriend Josh have skated together and dated for four years, and they’ve reached a critical point in their partnership both on and off the ice. With the Winter Games coming up and their career nearing an end, they are fighting to win a spot on the Olympic team, something Courtney has dreamed of since she was ten years old. She also has another wish she hopes comes true soon. She’s waiting for a marriage proposal from Josh that she expected to happen by now. Will she realize either dream or will her heart be broken from disappointment?
Jennifer Comeaux is a tax accountant by day, writer by night. There aren’t any ice rinks near her home in south Louisiana, but she’s a diehard figure skating fan and loves to write stories of romance set in the world of competitive skating. One of her favorite pastimes is traveling to competitions, where she can experience all the glitz and drama that inspire her writing. When she's not writing, traveling, or calculating taxes, you can find her feeding her television addiction.
"You have a connection no other team has. Focus on each other, and you'll make it happen."
This was exactly what I wanted after reading Half Lost; cute, fluffy, romantic, and with a cavity-inducing HEA.
I loved being tossed back into the world of Courtney and Josh and pair figure skating. It made me want to go find reruns from the last Winter Olympics and watch this amazing sport in action. I've always loved figure skating, so add in a cute romance, and I'm in love.
I've enjoyed reading Josh and Courtney's journey from the beginning, and this was the perfect finale to their story. I would recommend this trilogy to anyone looking for a well written and under appreciated NA trilogy. I feel like this review is so short, but I really can't think of more to say besides if you have the chance, I would absolutely recommend reading this series!
Taking the Ice was a lovely conclusion to an adorable series. This book takes place several years down the road and we get to see what happens with Courtney's Olympic dream and where her relationship and partnership with Josh are at, four years later. It was a pretty quick read, no angst whatsoever (except for competition jitters). Speaking of competition, I am always so amazed at the way the author captures that feeling right before they take the ice and while they're doing their programs. I feel so anxious when I'm reading these scenes, it's almost as if I'm the one competing. She truly does a great job with the figure skating aspect of the books. I also loved the fact that it was based around last year's Olympics in Sochi. As a figure skating fan who followed all the events in Sochi, it made it more realistic which was an added bonus.
Josh and Courtney have definitely matured by the third book but they are still super cute together and I was glad to see that even four years later they still haven't lost that sweetness toward one another.

My ThoughtsTaking the Ice is the third and final book in the New Adult Ice Series. The Ice series is a contemporary romance series centering around ice skating pairs. You should read the first book, Crossing the Ice, and the second Losing the Ice, before reading Taking the Ice as they all feature the same couple. Courtney and Josh. Crossing the Ice was one of my favorite books of 2014 so I feel confidant recommending it to fans of contemporary romance and ice skating everywhere. I love Jennifer Comeaux's writing. In Losing the Ice Courtney and Josh were finally paired up together and I was super excited to see them skating together, and I was even more excited to read Taking the Ice, because not only were they still skating together but this time they were going for Nationals and maybe the Olympics. Talk about high pressure.
Losing the Ice was much more somber than Crossing the Ice. So I was ready for happier times with my favorite couple. And while Taking the Ice was not without its' share of bumps in the road, I thought the overall tone of this book was light and happy. And I loved that. What I really also love about this series is that you can't always expect the happy you know they are going to win ending with Jennifer. Because I knew that from her first two books, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. Sometimes you read books and while it might not always be going the main characters way, you just know that in the end they are going to come out victorious. While that is nice, and I certainly enjoy the warm fuuzzies it makes me feel, the air of the uncertain, especially in sports books, makes read so much more exciting. And I am so not telling you what happens with their skating. You will just have to read the story to find out.
I will say this about Taking the Ice. Courtney and Josh are as great together as ever. I just love their relationship and how solid they seem as a couple. The ice skating is as thrilling as ever, and the story and series wrapped up perfectly. I am so happy with the ending and with their overall journey. This has to be my very favorite ice skating series that I have ever read. Read the Ice series, if you haven't already. Read it now!
What a beautiful ending to such a great series. This was by far my favorite one in the series. I simply love Josh and Courtney. They have matured so much and what they have is so special. It's always so amazing watching people perform together in real life when they have amazing chemistry. I can only imagine how amazing they are together.
This book. I can't even. What a wonderfully delightful wrap-up to Courtney and Josh's adventure together.
The Ice series, by Jennifer Comeaux, has been one of my favorites, and I'd recommend reading them in order. In addition. Ms. Comeaux wrote an additional series (The Edge) that focuses on the younger years of Courtney's coach Em, but you can always go back and read those after if you've already started these books (that's what I did).
We meet Courtney and Josh in December, almost 3 years after the end of the second book, Losing the Ice. They have skated well together and are now once again facing the pressures of competing well enough to make the Olympic team. All the series regulars are here, with the addition of a few new characters who present some added pressure.
I was really wrapped up in the story and couldn't put the book down. It wasn't a very long read, but felt like a good length for the story at hand. Sometimes authors drag out angst just to hit a page-goal, and the story suffers because of it. In this case, it felt just right.
Josh remains as loving, loyal, and silently strong as ever. If ever there was a perfect book boyfriend, he's it. Courtney is faced with the difficulty of skating on top of the internal stresses associated with her past skating goals, which have thus far come up short of her lifelong dream. When you add Josh's insufferable parents to the mix, you'll probably be wondering just how much more they can take. That being said, the book has plenty of sweet, tender, and happy moments that left me swooning. The relationship between Court & Josh is so strong, but she is longing for an engagement ring. After seeing how Josh's parents interact and learning more about the way in which they raised (or didn't raise) their children, she has to wonder if he might agree with his sister Stephanie in swearing off marriage forever.
I absolutely loved all the interactions with their coaches, and fellow skaters, and especially Liza! She was a wonderful surprise, full of so much energy and inner-strength. And her relationship with Courtney is something many sisters would long for. Even Stephanie surprises with an unexpected interaction with one of Courtney's competitors.
Will Courtney and Josh pull it together at Nationals and get to take that elusive trip to Sochi? Will Courtney get the engagement she has been hoping for? Or will Josh's mother pull off the incredible upset and finally succeed in driving a wedge between her son and the girl who she believes has derailed his life?
I'd recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance, ice skating, the Olympics, and light-hearted feel-good stories.

In Taking The Ice, the third and final book in the Ice series, the story featuring the ice skating pair of Courtney and Josh continues with more angst, drama, romance, and exhilarating ice skating.
Author Jennifer Comeaux once again calls upon her passion for competitive ice skating to weave an emotionally dramatic tale of friendship, love, and competitive dreams that will steal your breath away. If you are a fan of ice skating and all the drama that goes on behind the scenes, then this new series is a must read. If you are a hopeless romantic who loves the dramatic challenges and trials and tribulations that Courtney and Josh will face as they try to balance achieving their Olympic ice skating dreams while they take their love relationship to the next level, then you are in for a treat with this sweet romantic story.
Author Jennifer Comeaux pulls out all the stops and takes the reader on one final exhilarating and emotional roller coaster ride as Courtney & Josh's love story continues to unfold with a heartwarming and sigh worthy climatic conclusion. There are not enough words to express how much I loved following Courtney and Josh's journey, I was captivated from the beginning and left completely satisfied at the conclusion. There is just something so exciting about reading a romance story that has a wonderful mixture of romance and the sport of competitive ice skating, it simply draws you in and leaves you breathless.
With an intriguing cast of recurring and new characters; engaging dialogue and dramatic interactions; a richly detailed description of the settings and world of Olympic competitive ice skating; and a riveting storyline full of drama, angst, suspense and romance; Taking The Ice is an amazing lighthearted romantic story that will leave you believing in the power of love, sighing and smiling, and wishing that the exciting Ice series would continue (sigh).
Disclaimer: I received a copy of the book from the author in exchange for my honest review and participation in a virtual book tour event hosted by IFB Tours.
I've been looking forward to the conclusion of this series for some time. Courtney and Josh have been through so much over the years they've been skating together. They've face both personal and professional challenges and as their career comes to a close, they've got one last shot an Olympic medal but they've got Nationals to clear before they get there.
I really liked seeing how things wrapped up for Courtney and Josh both personally and professionally. I loved the details shared about their routines and the practices. I also enjoyed how rivalries were shown, it all felt very realistic. I would've loved for a more idyllic ending with everything wrapped up neatly with a bow or a gold medal or two in this case, but I loved how Jennifer Comeaux kept the story true to both Courtney and Josh's capabilities.
I loved seeing Em and Sergei, Chris and Ashley, and their kids. It felt like visiting old friends after being away for a while. I was very excited to see things between Courtney and Stephanie were slowly improving, but at the same time disappointed to see not much had changed for the elder Tuckers. I love how Jennifer Comeaux really tapped into Josh and Courtney's feelings. I felt like I was able to experience every nervous flutter, every fall, and every triumph as if it was my own. I'm not ready to say goodbye to Courtney and Josh yet so I hope to see them in Jennifer's upcoming books.
Jennifer Comeaux writes romances that are of the sweet variety. They are hearts, flowers and love notes kinds of stories. Her books all center around the world of Ice Skating. I enjoy books about female athletes and she writes the skating world masterfully. This is the final part of Courtney's story. It is very low angst over all (which fit what I was in the mood for but angst-lovers beware). The three novella series for Courtney kind of remind me of serials in the pacing and issues in each. Solid 4.5 stars.
Taking The Ice by Jennifer Comeaux: Book Review What a perfect finale to an amazing series. I loved every book in the Ice Series, and this finale left me satisfied and at peace with all of our characters. That being said, I'll be going through some of the pros and cons of Taking The Ice, with minor spoilers ahead. P.S. Thank you again to Jennifer Comeaux who very kindly sent me Ebooks of the whole series, I loved them all and will always refer back to them for inspiration in my own writing as well as when I just need a comfort read; you're the best Jennifer!
Pros of Taking The Ice by Jennifer Comeaux
Character Development
Stephanie at the beginning of this series was someone I didn't love to hate; I just hated her. She was an awful sister and skating partner to Josh as well as a mean girl to everyone who crossed her path - especially Courtney. In the third instalment of the series, we see Stephanie really showed growth in the sense that she was more affectionate and understanding to her brother as she distanced herself from their mother, and she even showed more kindness to Courtney, doing something huge for her close to the end of the book...you'll have to read to see what I mean. I was happy that although Josh's relationship with his parents isn't at all what it should be, that at least he has his sister.
I knew about secondhand embarrassment but this book gave me so much secondhand STRESS every time they were about to compete, I don’t know how I ended up being so invested but my heart was RACING constantly.
The proposal was so sweet I was tearing up, and shoutout to the true legend of these books— Mrs Cassar, I swear that woman!!!
Josh and Court’s journey was so heartwarming and I’m once again ready to watch 828383 ice skating YouTube videos.
Go for this series if you enjoy ice skating (as a skater or a spectator), a sweet love story with adorable characters and the rush of competition!
There will be no spoilers for Taking the Ice in this review but it will have spoilers for the first two books in the Ice series!
The Ice Series has become an absolute favorite of mine! Ever since I read the first novel in this series Crossing the Ice I fell in love with Courtney and Josh's story and couldn't wait to see where Jennifer Comeaux took this fun and adorable couple next!
Taking the Ice is a novella and is the final book in Courtney and Josh's story. In Crossing the Ice we see them compete against one another and fall in love. Then in Losing the Ice we see them come together as a team and fight through heartbreak in their careers and relationship. Finally in this conclusion their story is completed and it was such a sweet and beautiful ending! It's official! I have loved each and every second of this series!
I was so excited to see Courtney and Josh take the next steps in their lives and career! Throughout this novella we watch as they fight to get on the Olympic team and as they become closer than ever! I was so pleased with the conclusion of Courtney and Josh's story! In truth, I wanted a but more from this ending though. I wished there was more of the skating competition
I would have loved to read about their pairs skating at the Olympics
and I also wanted more of their future even! I was excited when I saw there was an epilogue, but I definitely thought there would be more in it!
I was super bummed out not to be at their wedding
I know that Jennifer Comeaux will continue on with other characters from this series and I am absolutely dying for Liza to get her own book/series!
Jennifer Comeaux does such an amazing job of combining the world of figure skating and romance! She is a talented writer and it is unbelievable to me that she writes in her spare time after working a full time job! She has mad skills and I will continue to be a fan and read her novels because they are romantic, fun and the figure skating world that she creates is perfection!!

I really enjoyed Taking the Ice and found it to be a very sweet end to Courtney and Josh's story. These two characters make me smile so much and I had a blast reading about their journey over the past three books. What I really enjoyed about this book is how Courtney and Josh have learned to stick together as a couple. There's a real progression in the series, so it's beautiful to watch them working so well together on and off the ice.
By no means does this book show complete perfection in our characters' lives, because Courtney and Josh face challenges and work hard to achieve what they have, but I did think of this book as a Happily Ever After fete. There's still hard stuff going on in their lives, but it was awesome to read about Courtney and Josh going strong as a couple.
Taking the Ice features great skating scenes, great friendship scenes, and a lovely romance. This novella is a great celebration of two careers and a toast to what the future will hold. As this is the third and final book in a series, you'll definitely want to start at the beginning of Courtney and Josh's story with Crossing the Ice. If you wanted, you could go even further back and start with Life on the Edge, which starts off the story of Courtney and Josh's coaches, Emily and Sergei.
Taking the Ice is sweet, fun, and lovely: exactly what you'd expect from Jennifer Comeaux.
Quick Summary: It’s go time for Olympic hopefuls Josh and Courtney, as the national paris champions they are almost there... if her nerves, his family and their competition don’t get in the way.
Okay, so I love figure skating. I’m a fan, I follow the season and I obsess over my favorite teams. I LOVE this sport and one of the reasons why I love Jennifer’s books is that she gets it.
But lets go back to the start. Taking the Ice is the third book in the Ice series, which has been chronicling Josh and Courtney’s story since they were rivals to becoming partners and I’ve adored them every step of the way.
Courtney and Josh are different from each other - she’s very outgoing, he’s more introverted - but they complement one another very well, they both bring the best of each other and it has been lovely to see them grow so much as a couple and as skaters.
I also loved that there were no big misunderstandings between them, they always have each other’s backs and are there fore each other no matter how their performances go.
Plus, I got to hang out with the extended cast of characters of the series over all (and of the Edge series, which tells the story of Josh and Court’s coaches).
Over all, Taking the Ice sucked me right in, I started reading it an I couldn’t stop, it’s such a feel good book. And it ended this series in such a good note.
And I can’t wait to read whatever Ms. Comeaux publishes next .
Fans of Comeaux's "The Ice" young adult romance novels will eat up this final novel in the trilogy since we get to bask in Josh and Courtney's wildly romantic relationship, seeing them unite as a true team both on and off the ice. It was satisfying to have a full book full hugs and kisses, and anticipation of seeing Josh fulfill Courtney's hopes of moving their relationship to the next level. This couple has faced their challenges, and readers get to "awww" their way through Josh being the strong, supportive, dreamy boyfriend he is, supporting Courtney when she doubts herself during competitions. Just incredibly satisfying from the beautiful figure skaters on the cover of the book all the way to the very last page!
It's an Olympic year for Courtney and Josh, who need to win either first or second place at the figure skating National Championships in Boston, in order to be named to Olympic Team USA and go to Sochi, Russia for the Olympic Games. Comeaux expertly describes both the physical and emotional atmosphere that surrounds important skating competitions, and I truly felt as if I were there. The roar of the audience, the suspense of waiting for judges scores and the drama behind the scenes were perfectly detailed in the book, and it added a lot of suspense and color to the story. Combining the romance with Olympic year dreams, throwing in all the beloved (and not so beloved) characters from "...the Edge" and "...the Ice" series and it's a perfect summer - or winter!- book to read and love.
This novella is the third book in the "Ice" figure skating series, which follows pairs skaters Courtney and Josh. In book one, they fell in love as members of rival pair skating teams, in book two, they endured problems on and off the ice, and now in the trilogy's final book, are on the cusp of an Olympic season and about to become engaged.
Most of the conflict in this book focuses on whether Courtney and Josh will overcome their on-ice issues to make the U.S. Olympic team. While the two still clash with Josh's awful family, the couple's relationship is solid and they're very much in love. Josh is gentle and kind-hearted, Courtney is the more vocal half of the couple and in previous books, has shown no qualms about speaking her mind, especially to Josh's mom. In this book, she's still quite outspoken, but has a moment of conscience that reflects a new maturity. Comeaux effectively shows how Courtney has grown up, softening a rough edge, while not taking away from her personality.
I appreciated that Comeaux simply allowed them to be happy, and to focus the story on their skating. As a figure skating fan and author, I am in awe of the way this woman writes skating scenes! She captures the couple's programs beautifully, and her knowledge of the sport shines through.
Readers looking for a sports romance that's a little different, and not only features a female figure skater, but a male skater as well, should check out the Ice and the earlier Edge series.
I look forward to seeing what Comeaux has in store next!
What a fantastic conclusion to the trilogy! I can't imagine dedicating my whole life for years and years to one goal, one impossible dream, yet that's exactly what Josh and Courtney have done. They've trained in ice skating for most of their lives with the dream of making it to the Olympics. This is their last shot to fulfill their dream.
I love the way this author is able to convey the emotions that go along with such an intense sport. I felt like I was right there with them, or more accurately, right there inside of Courtney's mind, since it is told from her point of view. The thoughts she has and intuitions about her skating are so very real.
As with any sport, these two have a life outside of the rink and it's full of drama. Since they've been dating for years, Courtney is expecting and hoping for a wedding ring, along with the Olympic rings. I love the chemistry between them and the connection they have on the ice. I also love that this isn't a perfect story. There are many things that set them back and challenge them, both on and off of the ice. I love how protective they are of one another.
I've loved Josh and Courtney's journey and look forward to what Ms. Comeaux comes up with next.
Content: mild language; mild violence (injuries); moderate romantic situations (kissing, sometimes intense; you know what's happening, but it's behind closed doors--fade to black scenes). Clean for an older reader!

When Josh and Courtney started off on this amazing adventure a few years back, neither one thought it would bring them to the Olympics. Both just wanted to enjoy skating together. But as time nears, they may actually have a chance. And It’s a chance that Courtney cannot deny wanting. But she also wants a future with Josh and a marriage. Will she be able to achieve both her dreams? Or will both slip between her fingers before they come to fruition?
I really enjoyed this sweet, quick read. I thought it was a great addition and conclusion to the story. I just wished it hadn't seemed quite so rushed. Just when one problem made itself known, it seemed like "ta-da" and it was over and done. I guess what I am saying is, I wish there would have been more build up to all that could have gone wrong before it got fixed up.
Other than that, I adored this book and this series so very much. Comeaux really makes the reader feel connected to the skating scene as if they are the ones on the ice. I feel as if I actually know a thing or two after reading so many of her books. The books are just so darn fun to read and the romance is beautifully written.
Oh yes, it wouldn't be a Comeaux book if there wasn't some perfectly executed romance in them. I have come to expect something swoon worthy every time I pick up one of her books and I am never let down. Always done to perfection!
Courtney and Josh are on the verge of making all of their dreams come true, but will their anxieties be their undoing? As they traverse the stressful territory of the US Nationals, non-skating issues threaten to derail all they have fought so hard to gain. With their future hanging in the balance, will Courtney and Josh be able to rise above and skate the performances of their lives?
Author Jennifer Comeaux again has realistically portrayed the world of figure skating, through the eyes of Courtney and Josh. The most impressive part of Taking the Ice, and of the previous books as well, is that the author keeps her characters based in reality. She does not try to make them something they are not: their struggles are real and not magically fixed. For Courtney and Josh, it is about the journey and not the result. Moving forward, I would love to see a new series surrounding the next generation, as there is so much left for the author to explore.
I would like to thank author Jennifer Comeaux for providing me with an Audible audio version of Taking the Ice and recommend it to those who like clean romances set in the sports world.

I am completely satisfied with the ending of Courtney and Josh's story. They have grown so much as characters. I loved seeing them grow in their life and love. Super glad for the accomplishments they achieved in the story (I won't say what so I don't spoil). Once again, I loved Courtney's sass and Josh's sweetness. They made the perfect couple. Surprisingly, I liked Stephanie a lot. She definitely had some major character development. Josh's mom...ugh. All I can say is that I am super glad Josh is the complete opposite of both of his parents. Ms. Comeaux has done it again!A short and sweet, beautifully written story. I can't wait for more of her books. I've seen things regarding Liza's story...so YAY! A must read for anyone looking for a light-hearted read. I'd like to note that I did shed a few tears during this book. Happy tears. Also, loved seeing the characters from the Edge series make an appearance. I squealed when Aubrey and Chris were mentioned with their baby girl!

Another great book in the Ice Series. I was so excited to read this book and follow Courtney & Josh on their journey to skate at the Olympics. That has been both of their dreams for years and even more so as they have become a couple on and off the ice. These stories do really need to be read in order but they are super easy and quick reads. I have read both of Jennifer Comeaux figure skating series. I love how they are a nice clean romance when you want a light fun read, a YA love story. I also love the figure skating books! The author does a fabulous job of getting you into the story, and feeling the characters emotions. I always feel like I can really imagine the skating performances while they are happening. I really like the main characters in this series and find myself starting to like Josh's sister Stephanie in this one. All the character has really grown up and so how mature they are now.
I adored Taking the Ice! With all the drama, the nail biting anticipation of competition, and the sweet, romantic exchanges between Josh and Courtney, Taking the Ice is the perfect end to the Ice series.
Comeaux is a master at putting her readers right in the midst of Courtney and Josh's relationship and their fight to get to the Olympics. It's not an easy road to the Olympics, there is a meddling mother, an irritating and not nice competitor, falls and spills, and insecurities to contend with but Courtney and Josh never give up.
And the romance... Josh is one of the sweetest heroes. He's protective, supportive, generous, kind and generally awesome. I adore Courtney and Josh together, they bring out the best in each other. I won't spoil whether or not Courtney gets the proposal she's waiting for but I will say I was very happy with how things turned out.
I'm sad that the Ice series has come to an end but I can't wait to see what Jennifer Comeaux has in store for us next.
Disclosure: ebook provided in exchange for an honest review
Taking the Ice is the final book in Jennifer Comeaux's Ice series. I've enjoyed all of her books and I'm sad to see this series end. Jennifer has a gift for writing about skating and I can tell she clearly loves it. Josh and Courtney are the perfect ice skating partners. They love each other and throughout the book, I hoped they would receive their happy ending. They haven't had the easiest life, but have grown into people I want to be friends with. I can completely picture the routines and music in my mind as I'm reading. Quite honestly, the book didn’t end up in a typical happy ending (at least for me), but I thought it was completely realistic. I am hoping Jennifer decides to write a story about Liza meeting her match (maybe a hockey player), so we get to see these characters again. I received an eARC from the author in exchange for a honest review.
Perfect ending to a great series! I enjoyed books 1 and 2 so much and when I saw this one on the list for Kindle Unlimited, of course I had to read it! Josh and Courtney have been skating together by this time 4 years, and are more in love than ever. They decide to go for the ultimate skate, the Olympics. Although Courtney is weary on whether she can make the team, she realizes how important it is to Josh for them to skate together and this will be the last time they competitively skate before they finally retire. the story takes you on all they go thru to make the team, while dealing with Josh's mother who still has not accepted Courtney as Josh's girlfriend. Overall it was a very good story, with most of the couple's issues resolved. The epilogue left me knowing that they found their happy ever after.
An excellent, fulfilling and thrilling conclusion to what has quickly become one of my favourite book series ever. Once again I felt like I was right in the middle of everything as Courtney and Josh try to fulfil their Olympic dreams and I loved how the skating was so effortlessly woven into their love story. I liked that it wasn't a straightforward and easy journey and that they faced very real roadblocks and setbacks just as any pairs team in reality would. It was realistic while still being extremely satisfying and a joy to read. I loved every minute of it and I will greatly miss Courtney and Josh and all their friends now that I'm done. I do hope that one day we get Quinn's skating story, because I have not doubt her determination to follow in Courtney and her Mother's footsteps will go unimagined. I just hope we get to read about it.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a great ending for Courtney and Josh. I love the pace of all of Jennifer's books, and this was no exception. Since The Edge series took us back to competitions a decade ago, it was fun to compare to this series, which leads up to the recent Sochi games and all their politicking. My one quibble was that I'd grown tired of Josh's mom from the previous two books, and this was one contained a good bit of continuation of that plot line. Overall, though, the descriptions of the competitions are detailed and true to their real-life counterparts (as a nationals volunteer, I can attest to the accuracy of the mood backstage, for example). I look forward to more Jennifer Comeaux skating books in the future!
This is the third installment of Ms. Comeaux's Taking the Ice trilogy. You could read just this book if you like, but I'd suggest you start at the beginning with the first book.
I'd describe this book as a sports romance. The sport is figure skating, and the romance is between two skaters, Courtney and Josh. They're fighting for a spot on the Olympic team which has been Courtney's dream for a long time. She's also in hopes that Josh will give her an engagement ring.
In the first two books, Josh and Courtney are younger, but in this book they're older and have more freedom to do what they want. This gives Taking the Ice a little more depth.
If you love figure skating and romance, you'll really enjoy the book.
Big thanks to Jennifer and IFB Tours for an ARC copy for review.
This was a wonderful conclusion to the Ice Series. Jennifer always manages to show her readers the dedication and passion that her characters have for skating, with a little drama, and a passionate love story. Of course, I can't forget the great guidance they get from Emily and Sergei as their coaches.
I love seeing the care and support they show for their students. Courtney and Josh have really come along way, both on and off the ice, and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out for this couple in the end. Now I would really love Liza's story next. Pretty please, Jennifer.
This is the third and final book in the Ice series and I would recommend reading the series in order.
This was again a nice sweet instalment and this story was a really fitting end to Josh and Courtney's journey. I really enjoyed that this instalment took the guys back to competitive skating as I felt this book was a lot more fact paced and I really enjoyed the anticipation of wanting to know how they were going to get off.
All in all a nice enjoyable read.

I was given an arc copy for exchange for my honest review I have to say the story pulled on my heartstrings you have a skating couple you don't only have a skating relationship but also personal. Josh and Courtney have a goal to make it to the Olympics couple skate to skate for the USA team. To read the obstacles and emotions that they go through to get to their goal was amazing you really do connect with the characters feel their struggles their worries their fears and their joy I would definitely recommend this book for a good read
The Ice series was very good and Taking The Ice kept that trend going. I love figure skating and that probably helps when reading these books, but I think they could appeal to anyone.
I enjoyed the various couples and the challenges they faced and felt that Ice #3 was a great way to wrap up the series. Not only was there romance, backstabbing, family drama and excitement, but people like me that enjoy figure skating, got lots of background information on the sport.
I'll be looking forward to Jennifer Comeaux's next book and would definitely recommend this series.
