After six years of exile Shamus Long returns to track down the vampires responsible for murdering his family. Upon his arrival, a snowstorm postpones his attack, forcing him to seek refuge in a motel where shy, loner Gail works the night shift. Instant chemistry and a power outage throw them into one anothers arms. Then Shame's friend Ty disappears, and he is forced to involve Gail in his quest. But Gail has secrets of her own, strong enough to rock the very foundation of his beliefs and threaten not only his bruised heart, but his very life.
A bestselling author of erotic romance, Amanda Young penned her first romance at eighteen. That novel was promptly deleted before it could traumatize innocent readers. After several years of honing her craft, Amanda went on to receive her first publishing contract in 2006.
A vivid imagination and a passion for all the things that go bump in the night has led Amanda to create provocative stories that push boundaries and dare readers to expand their comfort zones. Since she tends to write whatever strikes her fancy, her novels fall into many different subgenres. Among her available titles you’ll find contemporary and paranormal settings, gay and straight themes alike.
Amanda Young lives in Virginia with her husband, daughter, and two pampered pooches. When she’s not writing, she can usually be found chasing after a mischievous toddler or daydreaming about the characters in her next book. She loves to hear from her readers, and can be found on Facebook and Twitter. Her website, www.amandayoung.org, is where you can find up-to-date information on all of Amanda’s current and upcoming releases.
Amanda Young continues her MIA series; this time we're following Shame as he searches for revenge and finds love along the way. I think that Shame is one of my favourite characters. In Tristan's story, Missing in Action, he was an easy-going, go-with-the-flow, kind of guy... but don't get on his wrong side! This story is more tense and suspenseful, and definitely a lot more heartbreaking. He displays a vulnerability that is a sharp contrast to who he was in book one... Gail is his salvation. Watching as the two of them skirt around each their own secrets, you can still tell that they have a chemistry that is nigh on explosive. And Gail is a lot more than what she seems, making her a perfect match.
