Navy Seal Odin Byrne believes in two things, the SEAL code of honor and the ability of his Team. When he loses one of his brothers-in-arms, he loses part of himself.

Starting afresh with his Team and back home in Boston, Odin has only one focus, his uncle Declan’s security and detective agency, ‘The Gods of Wrath’. A new team member is the last thing Odin wants, especially an ex-con who is hot as hell and mouthy to boot. Fighting for control of his agency, his heart, and his damn hormones, isn’t easy. When a new case threatens those closest to him, Odin must work with his adversary to bring a murderer to justice. Simple, apart from the memory of his lips on hers, and that one hot night.

Jasmine McCarthy is starting a new life in Boston. After three years in an Irish prison for a crime committed by her ex-husband, she craves a new start, a new chance. When her friend Declan Byrne gifts her a part of his agency, Jasmine sees it as her duty to join the team and follow his wishes, regardless of the opinion of her formidable new boss, Odin Byrne. The pig-headed arrogant Ex-SEAL would be a lot easier to ignore, if she hadn’t already had a taste.

Jasmine and Odin want nothing more than to stay the hell away from each other, if only chemistry and fate would play ball…

Honestly, look at that cover and tell me you wouldn't be excited to read this. You can't? Well, I couldn't either.

I was incredibly stoked to learn all about Odin and the other members of GOW Securities. However, the story felt incomplete, rushed, and fell flat. I will definitely pick up the next book in the series, but I definitely hyped myself up too high for this book.

On the plus side, this book has one of the strongest and sassiest heroines that I've read about to date. I don't mean sassy in the snarky way, but rather she has a sweet and enduring personality. She was the most consistent and lovely character.

I look forward to more from this author and to see her grow!

Odin (The Gods of Wrath Security Agency #1)
Michelle McLoughney
3.5 stars

Odin Phineas Byrne – Navy Seal is unsure of himself. A feeling he never thought he would feel and a feeling he isn’t enjoying. His Uncle Declan attributes everything to being Irish but Odin doesn’t understand this part that is plummeting for the first time ever. Of course he has never lost a member of his team. Since Teddy’s death he feels as he has failed. Odin believes only in two things; the SEAL code of honor and the ability of that team … and he let that team down.

The God’s of Wrath is a fresh start. His uncle’s agency back in Boston is his new focus with his brothers in arms. Everything was going well except Declan has dropped a bomb on the entire team. A new team member … when a new case threatens those closest to him, Odin must work with the person he wants any contact with the least to bring the murderer in. There is only one thing wrong … the person he wants the least amount of contact with is the person he cant get out of his head. It was one night .. Odin should be able to forget her. But he cant and how did Declan know her?

Jasmine McCarthy is starting a new life thanks to Declan. She left her memories behind after leaving the Irish prison. Everything was going her way until the past comes back, Declan is gone and her new boss is now the hot ass one night stand she had after five years of nothing.

This book was a decent read. I had a hard time with the constant going back and forth between Odin and Jasmine. However there is plenty of sexy time, lots of great secondary characters that Im certain we will get their story down the road and plenty of suspense. I just didn’t feel connected with the characters. Im not saying don’t click it as I never say that … I will read on in the series for sure. Sometimes two characters just don’t hit it on the head for you .. but that doesn’t mean the others in the series wont. There are a few in this group that Im eage to hear what life will bring them!

Odin is book 1 in the start of a promising new series. I loved the cover! Its way hot.

The characters are strong and Jas is a sassy strong headed woman which i love in a book. Odin is haunted by his past. He is a former SEAL and is now working in the private security business. When Jas and Odin meet on coincidence and share a very steamy one night stand!! Wow. But with news of Odins uncle passing Jas and Odin discover one night might not be all they share..Declan (Odins uncle) helped Jas become who she is today.
Steamy and sassy. Can not wait for book 2

Squeeeeal!!!!
Loved loved loved this book.

Odin is a SEAL and his men have just finished their last mission. They will ALL be joining Odin’s uncle Declan’s private investigations company Gods of Wrath (GOW) along with his younger brother and their two sisters Freya and Evie.
Odin is still having trouble with the death of a command Teddy who was killed in action and Odin blames himself for it, although it happened 2 years ago, on Teddy’s anniversary Odin goes out gets drunk and maybe hooks up with a woman.
Jasmine has just got out of prison in Dublin after serving 3 years. When she is realised she gets on a plane and goes to Boston to her friend Declan.
Jasmine opens up her own flower shop from the money she got from her divorce. Declan helped Jasmine get her P.I licence and helped train her.
Jasmine gets the ‘Dublin Post’ sent to her home and she sees a story concerning her ex-husband. So that night she goes out to let her hair down and have some fun. In the same bar sits Odin. Odin makes a play for Jasmine and they decided that there will be no names just a one-night stand.
After a hot night Jasmine gets a phone call giving her bad news about Declan. At Declan’s funeral she finds out who Odin really is. But, at Declan’s will hearing it turns out that Declan has left 10% of his GOW company to Jasmine. Odin and the rest of the crew don’t like it and they have no idea who Jasmine is so they start digging into her past.
Jasmine and Declan share a secret that she has not told anyone which leads Odin and the rest of the crew to think the worst of her about her relationship with Declan.
This story is slightly different then the Alpha male takes charge of a woman that he likes. The reason why it’s different and why I love it is because during the sex scene, which is hot hot hot there is a part where Jasmine takes a little control over Odin and starts calling the shorts and I loved that because it’s not very common and it makes for a great change.
There does come a time when Odin and Jasmine have to work together and keeping their sexual chemistry away from work is impossible. There is a story that goes with their love story, a case that Jasmine takes at the displeasure of Odin but he has to train her and Jasmine’s determination to prove herself.
This is the first story in this series and I can’t wait to read about the rest of the crew. There is a scene with a 26-year-old man who is mentally challenged and I love that scene. It’s sweet and I love the interactions that happen and how the conversations happen.
I really love this book and I really can’t wait to read about the rest of the team and I absolutely loooove the ending. It’s a great book and I definitely recommend this book it’s a great read.

This is book 1 in the gods of wrath security agency
So this book is set between two POV the first one is Odin who is an ex SEAL who after years of service decided to go and work for his uncles security firm after a tragic loss. He is the eldest of 4 siblings with a younger brother who was also a SEAL and two sisters who work for the security agency. Odin on his own is a force to reckon with, he is loyal to the very end with his family and brothers-in-arms.
The second POV is Jasmine a young woman who was wronged by her ex-husband who has a connection with Declan who is Odin’s uncle and owner of Gods or wrath security. Jasmine ran from her native birth country of Ireland to start a fresh in the states. She is off men and has been in a dry spell of 5 years. She is a feisty character and isn’t one to messed with as she will defend herself with all that she has and won’t be pushed over by anyone. After Declan helped her move to the states he insisted the Jas take a security education telling her that things like that always come in handy.
Then one fateful night on the anniversary of one of Odin’s brother-in-arms death Odin decides he’s going out of town to try and forget and bumps into none other than Jas (He knows nothing about her) and they decide to have a nameless one night of fun and boy is it hot! The next morning they each receive a phone call telling them of Declan’s passing and realise they have something in common but Odin gets the wrong impression and thinks that Jas is Declan’s woman!!
Follow the pair of them as they go through the motions and fight the feelings they have for each other and eventually learn to trust each other.
There are plenty of twists and turns to keep you interested and a lot of shocking moments. It is a fantastic first book to the series and I hope I get the opportunity to read the rest!
My only issue was the reference to 50 shades I didn’t see any need for it and to be honest its getting a bit old and repetitive now!
I rate this story 5 stars.

Odin is one of 6 ex navy SEALS. 6! 6 sexy, big, muscly, gorgeous men!
The boys leave the navy and join Odin and Sampson's uncles security business, along with Odin and Sam's two sisters .
Odin needs to get away on his own for the night to grieve on the anniversary of the death of one of their SEAL 'brothers.'

Jasmine has escaped Ireland after her life is ruined by her ex husband. She keeps to herself. She is in the bar when Odin picks her up.

They agree on a one night stand. Oh boy! That one night stand is so freakin' hot! Odin is a dirty talker and knows his way around a woman's body.
Had to fan myself a few times.
They don't realise they have a connection.
A tragedy happens and their lives get mixed up.
Motives are misunderstood. Feelings are hurt over and over.

I loved this book. The writing was superb. The personalities of the sexy beasts in the book are all so different and complement each other. They make me laugh and are so loyal to each other. They would all die for each other. I Love them all. Hope I don't have to chose a favourite! I can't wait to get my hands on the other men in the Gods Of Wrath.
Yummy!

I received this for my honest review. This is obviously the first in a new series, what a great start to get to know the characters who are friends and family that are loyal and so protective of each other it really stands out in this story. Here we start with Odin ex Navy Seal who decides to work with his uncle Declan in his security firm along with his team members who decided they had all done their time and suffered loss. Jasmine has come to America to forget and start a new life but she won't let anyone close enough but decides on a night out what the hell and be reckless for once. This is where they meet and basically you are taken on an adventure of lust, romance, betrayal, secrets and danger........you will not be disappointed absolutely brilliant reading and I can't wait to read the next one.

I was given an arc for review.
Odin is my first Michelle McLoughney novel and won't be my last. The story is told with a wonderful mix of humor and sentiment. McLougney doesn't over complicate the story with excessive details, but describes everything beautifully. McLoughney creates strong characters who are able to stay true to who they are throughout the story.

description
Good start to a series that I will definitely keep up with.

Odin Byrne is a former Navy SEAL. He brought all but one of team home to begin his next life as a head of Gods of Wrath Security. But two years later and he still can't seem to move on. He harbors guilty and unresolved feelings about losing his friend and partner. On the anniversary of his death he decides to get away, just for a night. Odin then finds himself a hot-red head who is just what the doctor ordered.

Jasmine McCarthy, Irish native, is getting her new beginning. Moving to Boston after her three years in prison is giving her exactly what she needs. The only thing she is missing is a man. Not that she really wants one, but one for the night would suffice and when timing couldn't be more perfect she meets the hot and sexy O.

They plan on it just being one wild night...

"I make the rules here, J. I give the requests, you listen and you do everything I tell you. Then, I give you the best fuck you've ever had. Say yes or no, the choice is yours."

When the sun comes up, things take a turn that neither expect and they are about to get more acquainted with each other in ways never anticipated. A new client is acquired by GOW, secrets are kept, assumptions are made, and emotions are all over the place. While on this up and down and a bit sideways journey with Odin and Jasmine, we get well acquainted with the people work for GOW and the business that it has become. Everyone has a lot of character and personality and sometimes they were all a bit overwhelming. There was a solid foundation laid for later books and enough to keep you interested in what is going to happen next for them. Odin was super sexy but he has the ability to be all over the place. Jasmine just made me laugh and was a strong leading lady. And the chemistry between these two was strong, even when they tried to deny it.

"Whatever this is. I like it and hate it in equal measure."

Overall I really enjoyed this book and look forward to whoever comes next.

This book was amazing. I have a read a book or two by this author previously and was a fan so I definitely knew I had to take a chance on one of my favorite genres out there in romance. And let me tell you, this author did not disappoint. Sexy, sweet, intense, passionate, and suspenseful, this author sucks you in with her Irish accents, hot alpha males, strong heroines, and witty banter.

This is the first book in a new series following a security agency and the guys/gals who are members of this dynamic team. With this crazy good introduction, she gives us some seriously hot, bossy alphas and some strong women who can hold heir own in a man's world. I laughed. I smiled. I got hot and bothered. I got the feels. And I fell head over heels in love with Odin and Jasmine.

This is Odin and Jasmine's story. Odin is a war vet who along with her fellow brothers in arms and family joined a security agency. He is unattached, wild, hot but feeling unfulfilled. He is starting to want more. And when he meets Jasmine, he thinks he may have found that until their lives cross paths in ways he could have never imagined possible. Now he needs to find out her truths...

Jasmine is finally free from the hell she has been living in for years. Her life was twisted upside down and never the same. But a new chance and a fresh start are just what she needs to reinvent herself. When she meets Odin, she realizes she does want to try for more again. But when tragedy strikes, her life will never be the same. And Odin may just be her new best ally or worst nightmare...

Odin and Jasmine were so hot together. God Jasmine with her spunk and fire. I loved how she could give Odin a run for his money even when he was acting like a complete a-hole. And Odin, while over the top with his reactions at times, made me swoon and fall hard with that alpha exterior and that dirty, dirty mouth. I was rooting for these two and those last words in the epilogue.... LOVE!

I highly recommend this book.

I just love the way Michelle McLoughney writes her books! I could and would read anything she has her hands on. Odin is a book one in a new series featuring ex-Navy seals, who after many tours and unfortunately a life lost, decide to retire from the military and come back and work in Odin's Uncle Declan's Gods of Wrath security agency. Jasmine has left behind a life in Ireland that she would like to forget including jail and an ex-husband. She has a connection to Declan, but the author is amazing at not cluing you into what that connection is right away. Jasmine goes to a bar one night to meet friends, but their plans got changed. Odin happens to be in the bar that night to forget the pain of losing his team member. They meet, have explosive chemistry, and agree on a one night stand with no names. Hot does not cover the chemistry between these two! Jasmine gets a phone call the next morning that changes her life yet again. Odin, angered that Jasmine just took off, receives a similar call. With no names exchanged the night before, they have no idea just how connected their lives are going to be.
I think this was a amazing start to this series. You get a glimpse into these ex-seals, some of their family, their protective do anything for each other attitude, and hot good looks. She does a fantastic job at giving you the ending you want in this book and still leaving you wanting more. I cannot wait for Trig's story and the rest of the series! Go pick up Michelle's books and see what you have been missing!!

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I haven’t read anything written by author Michelle McLoughney, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. After reading the synopsis, I was looking forward to reading Odin, especially since it was the beginning of a new series.
I really enjoyed the story and the fact that I was constantly wondering about Odin and, in particular, Jasmine. She had so many secrets that she didn’t want to reveal, even though I thought she should.
However, I found it difficult to connect with the characters. I couldn’t understand why Odin was so hard on Jasmine but, at the same time, couldn’t get her out of his mind. In fact, by the end of the story I still didn’t fully understand where he was coming from. I couldn’t understand why Jasmine didn’t stand up for herself. I also became confused by the sheer number of characters and I kept losing track of who was who. I realise that Odin was the first book in the series so the author was setting it up for future books, but I think the number of characters detracted from Odin and Jasmine’s story.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, grief, pain, and heartbreak.

This is Jasmine and Odin’s story. After one night together these two thought they would never meet. Seems they were wrong. They both work for the same place but with the secrets surrounding Jasmine being there will they be able to work together. Years ago Jasmine and Odin’s uncle became friends but the why of the friendship was a secret. Jasmine does not reveal the details of the friendship and the others at work think the worst. Can she prove herself? Will they trust her? What happens when the truth comes out? Will it cause even more problems? As Jasmine and Odin work together to solve a case can they put their feelings aside and really work together? Will they be able to solve the case before the danger comes for them or will they end up in the middle of all the danger and have to fight for there lives?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

I want the Gods of Wrath to appear at my door!

Well, I wasn't expecting that!! After reading all of Author Michelle McLoughney's books and loving each of them. This was one is totally different yet truly exceptional! Michelle has given us a gutsy, gritty and all round baddass book. As an ex SEAL Odin is tough and very much an alpha male, but I could see his heart from the opening page. Jasmine is a tough cookie too. She has had to learn how to be strong to make it this far in life. Together they are just strength, passion, disagreement and perfection all rolled into one. This book surprised me and kept me guessing until the very last word ( the very last words were just what I wanted to read, by the way). This book jumps into my top 5 of 2015!!!! I loved it. Well done Michelle, this is fantastic. You are an amazing author. I want to award this book far more than 5 stars but 5 it will have to be!!!

I've had this book in my kindle for a while and moved it to the top of my pile this weekend because the blurb sounded really good, I mean really ex-seals, hot alphas and a woman who can bring them to their knees. Jasmine didn't just win Odin's heart she won over all the guys and gals from Gods of Wrath Security.

Odin is an ex-seal trying to move past the horrors of war and losing friends while saving others.
Jasmine a fiery Irish lass with a heart of gold and a past that is more than it seems.

After a chance meeting in a bar and a night of unforgettable sex O and J have no idea their worlds are about to collide again and when it happens the sparks fly everywhere.

It's fun and emotional reading about these 2 hot heads trying to work their shit out I really enjoyed every page.

Fab!

Another fabulous story by Michelle Mcloughney! From the first page until the last, I was hooked. Watching the story unfold, the characters grow and learn to move on just made this story what it was. Odin and Jasmin are a force to be reckoned with. Their characters were sot on for the story.
Each twist and turn kept me turning the pages wondering hat was going to happen and when.

I can't wait for more.

Jasmine and Odin are HOT HOT HOT. The sexual tension swirling around these two is off the charts. When a one night stand turns into an unexpected relationship. McLoughney created a fantastic story. I was intrigued with the plot and little twists and turns the story took. At times I felt that there was more to be said or resolved between chapters or chapter breaks, I remember saying to myself, "no, just a little more." I really enjoyed the suspense story line and wish it had been even more prominent in through the whole book. I just looked and see that Trig is already out, I can't wait to check out the next GoW book.

good read

Been on my kindle a while and it’s a really good read that had the potential to be more than that. Great storyline but given the nature of the business their looking into jasmines history was severely lacking. She was a great character until the end of the story when the author chose to make her stupid. Odin I liked but felt that he too had a disservice done to him with the reveal at the end of the book. Good read and I’ll look for the next one.

I received this book In exchange for my honest opinion and a review.

Omg she has done it again... Michelle McLoughney has knocked it out of the park with an amazing touching yet sexy and edgy series The Gods Of Wrath.

Michelle is one of those writers you fall in love with over and over again.

Odin Byrne is a Navy Seal and he believes in two things, the SEAL code of honour and the ability of his Team. But when the worse happens and he loses one of his brothers-in-arms, he loses not just a part of himself but a part of his soul.

Odin is starting afresh with his Team and in his home of Boston, he has but one focus, his uncle Declan’s security and detective agency, ‘The Gods of Wrath’. The last thing he wants is a new team member, especially one that is an ex-con yes she may be hot as hades and is very mouthy.

He has a new threat upon him and Odin is Fighting for control of his agency, as well as trying to control his heart and his raging hormones, well it isn’t easy to say the least . Know with this new case threatening everyone that is closest to him, Odin must work harder than he has ever before and work closely with his adversary to bring a murderer to light and get justice. Sounds simple right, apart from the vivid hot memory of his lips on hers, and that one sinfully hot night.

Jasmine McCarthy has started a new and happy life in Boston. After three awful years in an Irish prison for a crime that she never committed but her ex-husband did, All she wants is new chance on life.

When her good friend Declan Byrne gives her the ultimate gift a part of his agency, Jasmine sees it as not just her duty to join the team but too follow his wishes, Yes she has to contend with the charming not so nice opinion of her formidable new boss, Odin Byrne. This arrogant Ex-SEAL would be so much easier to ignore, if she hadn’t already had a sweet sample of his heavenly goods.

Will Jasmine and Odin be able to stay away from each other? Or will chemistry and fate decide otherwise.

Michelle McLoughney has brought us a new and exciting series and once again shows us how amazing she really is. Man I was on a roller coaster of a ride from the first page to the very end, she sure does no how too put us on the edge of her seat and then some. Michelle has such a way with her characters that you can connect with each and every one of them on a different level. I am totally and utterly in love with this series.... I want more..... asap.

Jasmine is a gritty kick butt sort of woman she has gone through a world of pain and has come out alive and kicking and maybe more of a knowledge of how too survive. I totally connected with her and I was routing for her all the way through, I love the way she interacts with everyone in this book especially those neighbours of hers they for sure made me laugh.

Odin man he is a man's man tough as old boots hard on the outside maybe harder on the inside especially after the loss of his friend he sees it as his fault that they didn't all come home together alive. Odin is a complex guy and at times I wanted to shake the heck out of him but then at others I wanted to hug him and tell him that everything will be ok.

I also have mentioned the secondary characters Jasmine neighbours they are a hoot very colourful men, what I adored about them is not only there sense of humour but there loyalty towards Jasmine they no how hard her past has been, I love how they got her out of the house a stellar move on there parts :)

My most favourite part of the book was them arguing the way the author sets the scene makes it so easy for you too believe you are actually there watching from the sidelines.

This story has everything and more that you will want, if you are looking for an amazing read look no further than hear yes this amazing book. I for one cannot wait for Trigg book.

Michelle McLoughney is one of those authors that are timeless you can read and read her books and fall in love time and time again.

For sure one of my best reads of 2015.

Hot to start with and then just kept getting hotter! Loved every second of it. Once I started I couldn’t put it down – happily hooked!

Who would have thought flipping a coin in a bar to decide if you want to stay and have a drink with a really hot stranger could end up changing your life, but that’s exactly what happened to Jasmine. After the hell she went through with her ex you can see why she would keep her distance from men but something about Odin (or O as she calls him to start with as that’s all she wants to know) makes her take a chance. One drink soon turns into another and she soon lets go and decides to take what she wants for once – that just happens to be O for one night of hotter than hot fun. She couldn’t be happier with the outcome to start with but when tragedy strikes its ugly head everything gets put into a blender.

After meeting J a hot stranger at a bar and having one of the best nights he can remember in a while Odin is loathed to just let her go. But when he comes back to an empty room he thinks it’s for the best, he doesn’t think he will ever see her again anyway. But tragedy and fate have other plans in store for the pair of them as they are about to be thrown together whether they like it or not. To say that Odin and his family/team mates are shocked that his uncle Declan gave away 10% of his company (Gods of Wrath Security Agency) to a total stranger would be putting it mildly. When Odin finds out that it’s to an ex con who is non other than J his hot one night stand – who incidentally he can’t stop thinking about – he doesn’t know how to handle it.

Jasmine is determined to keep a secret as to how she knew Odin’s uncle to herself, as it means so much to her and how her life turned around because of it. Only problem is that the GOW team, and especially Odin, want to know and then want her gone. Well Odin may keep saying that he wants her gone but with his mixed signals you can see why Jasmine would be so confused – “stop kissing me then!”

Once Jasmine makes it very clear that a payoff won’t make her go away she decides to honour Declan’s wish and start working at GOW. Odin decides that she should shadow him, which brings them that much closer within the working environment. Being in such close proximity to each other at GOW you can see the chemistry come alive once more – well it never really left – but Odin is holding back from wanting to start something with her. When he makes a mistake with how to handle her growing feelings for him though he might just be putting her life in danger. All Jasmine wants to do is feel a worthy part of the team. Going out alone to prove herself to the team though might not be her smartest idea and could end up being her biggest mistake. It might just get her killed – let’s just hope Odin can get to her in time.

The case that Odin and Jasmine are working on did seem to take a bit of a back seat at times and could have been pulled forward for more of a focal point. I do feel that the ending was a little rushed but maybe that’s just me wanting to keep reading about them that made it seemed rushed. Great characters though, lots of different personalities that seemed to work well together nicely – setting the scene for what’s to come further down the road for them all. What a great start to the series. I now cannot wait to see what the rest of the characters get up to!

I received this ARC from Be My Book Boyfriend for my honest review.

This book is a great read. Jasmine had a lonely childhood and was taken by the first boy who challenged that opinion of herself. Conor had the whole package till one day when he was found with enough drugs to be considered distributing and said they were Jasmine's. She found herself serving 3 years for something she has nothing to do with. Conor's family was weathly and paid her for her troubles and they were divorced. When she is done serving her time someone helps her start over. New name, new everything, even a new country. She was Maggie now she is Jasmine. Odin is a SEAL and he is done. After losing Teddy his team mate everything is different and he is ready to work with his uncle Declan. His whole team decides to join him. Two years later everything is about to change for everyone. Jasmine and Odin meet and have a one night stand. The same night Declan is in an accident and dies. Jasmine and Odin had no clue that Declan connected them. Jasmine and Declan haven't been able to stop thinking about each other. They have their own reasons for fighting what they feel for each other and the discovery of their connection makes things even more difficult. Odin and his team are mad that Declan would leave a piece of his business to someone he hadn't even told them about. The team worry about how she knew Declan. Then they find out about her criminal past and think the worst. But, no matter how mad Odin wants to be with her it doesn't stop him from wanting to know more about her at the same time. They are drawn to each other and can't seem to stop feeling things for each other no matter what. Will they be able to find a way to be together or will outside forces stop them? Will the team be able to give Jasmine a chance?
This book was an interesting read. Jasmine and Odin have been through so much in their lives especially their childhoods and maybe that mutual pain is a big reason they are drawn together. Odin has never wanted anything long term with a woman but Jasmine makes him want those things but he feels that he has nothing to offer her or anyone really. Jasmine is focused on never letting another man hurt her the same way Conor did that she is also fighting against what could be the best thing that could happen to her. The other members of the team are great and I can't wait to read more about them in future books. They are one big family, some by blood and others by circumstance, but family no the less. The members of Gods of Wrath are the family Jasmine has always dreamed of but will they accept her and give her a chance? I am impatiently awaiting more books in this series. Great job Michelle.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.

Odin, oh Odin. *sighs like a teenage girl with a crush*
He has to be my new favourite book hunk. The large in stature as well as personality, hunk of metal is Lieutenant commanding officer in charge of squad 3, Triton platoon, SEAL team 3 until the group of men who trusts dearly and considers a family, create the Gods of Wrath Security Agency.

Jasmine is a honest woman who got tied into the wrong family, after serving time she has the help of someone who creates her new identity and helps keep her past there. But Without his help, and a push for her to be involved in the Agency a one night stand becomes so much more...

Excerpt:
My heart wants something from her, something long forgotten, a feeling I haven't felt since my youth. A feeling of hopeful belonging. I would kill to protect her, I would kill to possess her...

Can she prove her worth when Odin and the team discover Jasmines past? Can she ever be a part of the agency and the tight knit group?

Excerpt:
You know this is not ending here, J, not a damn chance this is ending here. This is just the beginning.

They way Odin and Jasmine bounce off one another is brilliant and their chemistry more so! The clever wit and humour throughout had me gasping for air in amongst my fits of giggles and also fearing for what lay ahead for the pair who have such major challenges trusting. But their relationship is what made this book for me.

Excerpt:
The real criminals of society wear suits and ties. I promised myself there and then that I'd never fall for another man, never trust another one either.

There really is something for everyone from the action packed work of the agency to the seriously hot scenes that will leave you wanting more.

Excerpt:
Jasmine McCarthy is my own private cyclone, she rocks me off my feet and leaves me searching for s place to hide from the force of my feelings for her.

As my first read from Michelle McLoughney I was astounded at the humour alongside some seriously tough scenes wishing happiness for the two lead characters. And boy do they take you on a journey. Michelle's writing blew me away with her level of attention detail and plain beauty despite the pair having both seen such horror. It has to be one of my favourite reads of 2016 so far!

Final excerpt:
"Sometimes you miss what's in front of you because you fight the feelings, feelings you think you don't deserve. I don't want to miss what's in front of me. Some days you just have to put your mistakes away for a while and let good things happen.

You have to read this book! Next in the series is Trig and I can't wait to get my hand on him ;)

This book was a great start to the Gods of Wrath Security Agency Series. I cannot wait to to read Trig’s story, though I will be honest. I wanted Sam or Ark next. Or maybe little ol’ Evie. HEHE. I feel that girl will be a handful and with all the guys around, I pity her man. He will have to fit in.

What can I say, I am a sucker for a book about the military and what happens when the guys come home. I thought Michelle McLoughney did an amazing job with Odin and the guys. The backstories were thought out and linked them all, they were just a little too long at times.

That one thing that held me back from giving this story five stars. We received tons of information on Odin, Jasmine and the team. But the mystery they are trying to solve at Gods of Wrath Security Agency felt rushed. Odin and Jasmine hopped in and out of the mystery too much for me. It was more like an afterthought and I would have rather seen more of them on the case instead of in their heads thinking of the past. When they were in the mystery it was fun and calculated. I just wanted more of it.

Odin Phineas Byrne may appear to be a powerful beast. But deep down he is lonely and needs someone strong enough to put him in his place while keeping him out of his own head. He had a terrible childhood and holds onto parts of his past he had no control over.

I loved Odin and his alpha ways he kept me on my toes and turning the pages. When he went all gentle giant and spoke Irish to Jasmine, I melted. Then when he takes care of drunk Jasmine and brushes her teeth, I could not decide if I should be swooning or snorting.

I would give you a few of Odin’s sweet Irish saying but I would screw it up. And all of my favorite quotes I feel give something important away, so I won’t list any.

There are multiple times Jasmine had me rolling with her spunk and word vomit. And the fact she blamed everything on her mid cycle hormones. I am totally using that one!

Jasmine McCarthy had been through hell the past few years and refused to cower to even the intimidating Odin Byrne. Even when it would have made her life easier her stubborn Irish side took over and she became defiant. I think that is my favorite thing about her. She did what she felt was best for her and her beliefs not what others thought she should do.

As a start to a series this was a heathy kick off, although at times the sheer number of characters was a touch overwhelming. I got the fact that the author was laying the ground work for the series but every now and again I had to try and check back again to make sure who exactly she was referring too.
The guys are The Gods of Wrath – security company – and boy did I like the title – it suited them perfectly and this the first book belonged to Odin – no surprise there I hear you say – but Odin did surprise me, because I thought I was going to fall head over heels for his alpha ex SEAL but that wasn’t the case he wasn’t an easy character to like initially.
Once Odin had taken the decision to military this SEAL was only ever heading on way and that was to join his uncle Declan in the Gods of Wrath. Now Declan owned the company and although they were related Odin had to earn his place, he was given no soft options and he didn’t expect them either.
But the memories of events in the military that left to his departure were something that he couldn’t come to terms with completely and although he primarily kept his sorrow in check, every now and then he did what he had to do and hit the bar to drown his nightmares, but on this particular night things took a turn for the up – he meets Jasmine.
There is more to Jasmine that meets the eye and there is especially more between her and Odin than either of them are aware of. Uncle Declan holds the key to that little puzzler but when he suddenly passes away Odin is left with more questions than answers.
Now I said earlier that Odin was hard to get a handle on and I think that was just because he was so darn moody, I thought he was too harsh when it came to Jasmine in my opinion but more fool her putting up with him.
But then on the other hand I thought she was playing a very cagey game, she had a plethora of secrets and refused to give an inch – I was no wonder that Odin and his team were suspicious.
Of course her secrets were eventually prized from her and I got the ending that I had hoped for but the characters and the author played a very astute game – they hung on as long as they could.
I am looking forward to the next in the series, I think that now I am aware of some of the other characters, it will flow better for me but I hope to get a bit more Odin in book two – I like when characters cross over.

Odin, a former SEAL, and his men have joined his uncle Declan n his security business, Gods of Wrath (GOW). Odin is still reeling from the loss of his friend Teddy and he finds his coping mechanism in the bottom of a bottle of booze on the anniversary of his death. When he meets a pretty florist in the bar, they have a hot night and both forget their troubles for a while.

Jasmine went to jail for her husbands crimes. When she got out she disappeared to America at the hands of Declan. He trained her as a PI and she was just about his best friend. When she reads in the paper that her former hubby has been caught she goes out celebrating. When she meets Odin she gets a chance to forget herself for a while and just feel. They don't swap names or numbers. When she later hears the news of Declans passing she is hit with the news that he left her part of his business. When she sees Odin and realises that he is Declans nephew, things go a bit pear-shaped.

Odin thinks she is a two timing girlfriend of Declans and a gold differ to boot. He and the rest of the team set about discrediting her and ousting her from the business.

Odin is not your typical alpha, he's quite happy when Jasmine takes some control during their hot night but he is very quick to see her as the scarlet women and not want to hear how she knows Declan. But she is determined and she ensures that he trains her the same way he would anyone else. When they end up working a missing person case together, they realise just how well they work together.

The rest of the crew are just as bada$$ and they love to fight for the underdog. I dare you not to shout, scream or cheer them along when they "educate" a local bully who enjoys messing with their new buddy, who just happens to be mentally challenged. Michelle writes emotive, heart wrenching trauma tempered with red hot love scenes and fabulous comic touches!

I am rally looking forward to the rest of this series!!!!
