After reading the Retribution MC series, which should actually be read FOLLOWING the Carolina Bad Boys books, I was looking forward to getting more of Rie Warren's hot and sexy alpha males in this series. I was preparing myself to be disappointed since I had loved the MC series so much, I was just positive there was no way this series could be as great. I'm happy to say I was very wrong. This series was just as hot, maybe even hotter, than the MC series and I breezed through each book in one sitting. Not that they're short reads, because they aren't. I just couldn't stop once I started!
Stone: At Your Service (book 1) was not only full of steamy love scenes but had me laughing my butt off a lot of the time. The love story follows Josh and LeeLee who meet at a literary romance convention. Why is Josh Stone, the big and burly rough mechanic at such a thing? He's acting like the gay lover of his very best friend and romance writer Nicky Love. That whole convention had me in tears from laughing so hard. Josh ends up breaking their cover because he falls for LeeLee, a fellow romance writer. Their journey to end up together is full of laughs and also painful and joyous moments.
Love in the Fast Lane (book 2) is the story of Nicky Love and Catarina Steele. Nicky has always held onto some dark secrets that he hasn't even shared with Stone, who is closer than a brother to him. After meeting Cat and getting immediately slapped in the face by her he knew she'd be worth the challenge. But opening up about his past for the first time could just cause Cat to run. Then when she reveals her own dark past, it's Nicky who's doing the running. They go back and forth several times before finally getting it right. At times I was frustrated with them both for not being able to just move on with their futures and let the past go.
Steele: Into Your Heart (book 3) is the story of Brodie Steele (Cat's brother) and Ashe Kingston, a police officer with an involvement in some of the dark past involving the Steele family. They hook up during a bike rally and promise it will only last that week, then they'll go back to their usual lives of hating each other. It doesn't work out quite that way, but Ashe reveals that she's a single mother and isn't interested in anything more than a fling. Flings are all Brodie has ever wanted until Ashe, now he's ready to pursue her until she relents. After a rough road to finally being together as a family with her and her daughter, Ashe's job puts her life in jeopardy. The reason? An investigation into Brodie's MC...which only makes the whole situation more difficult. Both he and Ashe both realize, after that incident, that they need to love every day like it could be their last. Because you never know when it actually could be.
The best thing about this series is that each couple appears in subsequent books. You get to follow their relationships and see how their futures unfold. If you like broody and over protective sexy alpha men, then you'll love these books!

These books are so steamy and sensual, I believe I may have broken the record for lady boners. Each book in the series focuses on a different couple - and they all sizzled from beginning to end. I am Rie Warren's newest fan-girl - she has mad skills! Her characters are scary looking, yet witty, smart, broken, clever, and beguiling. I vacillated between smirking due to the humor, and gasping and fanning myself due to the steamy sensual scenes. The writing is unfailingly entertaining and fascinating, the banter between the characters is witty and sly. Each book was well-written and absorbing. Stone At Your Service was the most humorous and fun. The love story for Love in the Fast Lane was more volatile, yet the story line for Steele: Into Your Heart was more emotional and suspenseful than the first two books, as the characters experienced a full range of emotional events with considerable ups and down, gains and losses, grief and joy. I was deeply entrenched in the story from the onset, and felt my heart pound numerous times, and for a variety of different reasons. I had many more favorite quotes marked, but had to narrow down the list as to what would get past the censors. These books are smokin’ hot, I recommend keeping an ample supply of cool drinks within reach to prevent dehydration.

My Review
This book was so funny at times! Poor Josh has to pretend to be Nicky’s boyfriend so that Nicky can escape the crazy fans at a romance writer’s event. Which would be fine if from the first moment they get there Josh didn’t see Leelee, another writer. Things get complicated as Leelee thinks Josh is not only gay but in a committed relationship. Josh is just trying to help his friend and then get home to his young son. When the truth comes out things get crazy! The fellow women writers that chase Nicky are more than thrilled and let me tell you this women are funny! Not to mention the guys back at the garage who keep sending Josh text messages that had me rolling with laughter!

My Review
Nicky is a romance writer (that’s right this bad boy writes romance!) and Catarina happens to be the parts salesperson for Josh’s garage who also happens to be Brodie’s sister. Both of these two have things in their past that have left scars. Nicky is super attracted to Catarina the moment he sees her and she is to him as well but she tries really hard to not be.Cat’s secrets are big ones that really cause issues but she survived her past and is trying as hard as she can to be a better person. To be the woman that her parents would be proud of. These two go through a lot but their story is one that left me crying at times.

My Review
This was my favorite of the books so far! I really love Brodie and Ashe together. They hate each other in the beginning but then we all know that the flip side of hate is love. Bike Week really brings their relationship to a head and they realize that once they get home they find that their agreement doesn’t work for them. They still want each other and nothing will stand in their way. Not the surprise that Ashe has a child nor the fact that not every in the club treats Ashe well. When the chips are down though these Brodie shows just how much he loves Ashe. This pair looks as though they don’t fit together on the outside. He’s the bad boy, she’s a cop but underneath all of that you see that she has a wild side (love when she pulled him over!) and he’s a big softie (he sets an alarm on his phone so he doesn’t forget to pick up her child even when they are fighting!)

My Review
Nicky is a romance writer (that’s right this bad boy writes romance!) and Catarina happens to be the parts salesperson for Josh’s garage who also happens to be Brodie’s sister. Both of these two have things in their past that have left scars. My Review
This was my favorite of the books so far! I really love Brodie and Ashe together. They hate each other in the beginning but then we all know that the flip side of hate is love. Bike Week really brings their relationship to a head and they realize that once they get home they find that their agreement doesn’t work for them. They still want each other and nothing will stand in their way. Not the surprise that Ashe has a child nor the fact that not every in the club treats Ashe well. When the chips are down though these Brodie shows just how much he loves Ashe. This pair looks as though they don’t fit together on the outside. He’s the bad boy, she’s a cop but underneath all of that you see that she has a wild side (love when she pulled him over!) and he’s a big softie (he sets an alarm on his phone so he doesn’t forget to pick up her child even when they are fighting!)

When I started reading I couldn't believe this alpha mechanic was going to pretend to be gay to help out his best friend. The more we get to know Josh and Nicky I understood the level of friendship they share. It is special and not everyone has that.
Leave it to Stone to find a woman that catches his interest when he is supposed to be gay. Try as he might he just can't get her out of his mind. I think he was worried if he didn't get a chance there that weekend he never would. Talk about being in between a rock and a hard place.
Mr. Alpha shows his soft side as well. Still emotional over the loss of his dad even after all these years, show you the kind of bond that they had. His love and caring towards JJ is something else. Funny how kids can crack even the biggest tough guys.
Leelee is a brilliant up and coming writer who is trying to do it all on her own. Hating to be the center of attention makes signing a difficult thing for her. She is poised with her shield of wig and outfits. Being hurt by fiance when he left her for a man. She has trouble letting people in but she can't seem to keep her guard up with Stone. Sure to be hurt yet again
Will they be able to get past the secret that have been told? Will she find a way to trust him and gice him a shot? How will he manage if she shuts him out for good.

I love these series where everyone is intertwined and we continue to see everyone grow even though the focus is on a new character set. It is a feeling of home and comfort.
Nick has spent the bigger part of his life with this heart wrenching secret. We experienced his bond with Josh in Stone. In all purposes he considers Josh and Gigi his extended family. The only real family he has know for the past 14 years aside from Mimi. Turning to his writing to give him the extra he needed in his life to continue. When the "Wildcat" Cat Steele shows up at Stone's he knows he is well out of his league. He has stuck to one night stands and always kept people at arms length because the people you love will leave you. They always do.
Cat has hidden behind the walls for so long just in order to survive. It is easier to no do than to fight the urges of her past. There is so much going on behind those beautiful blue eyes. She is thrown for a loop when Nick seems to start sneaking behind those walls. Is it possible? Is she really capable of having these things? Has she lost her marbles in thinking so? She is torn between keeping her secrets so she won't hurt anyone else and telling them so she has not secrets with Nick. He promised never to leave her.....will he keep that promise.
I am excited for STEELE... I can't wait to see where Rie is taking us next.

Rie has completely sucked me into this wonderful family of misfits. This book is emotional in a completely different way Love was about healing and moving forward from your past, Steele is more about realizing you are worthy and capable to move forward.
Steele was the rock all those years ago when his parents were killed in that horrible crash. Stepping up and taking charge while helping Cat to turn her life around. Even though he is the middle child, he is the glue that has help everyone together. Loving his work at Chrome & Steele, getting to use his hand and create. Being the VP of the Retribution MC make it hard to show your heart but we pretty quickly see that he has one of the biggest around. Stepping out on a limb and putting himself out there while away on bike week, he gets more than he bargained for.
Ashe Kinsgton is just looking to get away from the reality of life while she rides off to bike week. She surely didn't expect Brodie Steele in her wake. She is one of MPPD's finest but she is so... much more. Strong, determined, courageous, loving are just a few words that come to mind when thinking of Ashe. You can clearly see her teetering between want and what she thinks is right. Always worried about how thing will affect her daughter Cara and putting Cara first along with her job.
Thankfully Brodie doesn't give up easy. Watching this family grow through hard struggles and happy times, was something else.
A wonderful well rounded series that is full of excitement of all kinds. Never a dull moment in Mount Pleasant that is for sure. Some damn hot MC fellas with some pretty emotional challenges ahead. Boomer is very deserving of a strong addition to the series and I can't wait til November.....

When you read Rie Warren's books you will fall in love with her characters.
Stone
How can you not fall in love with a single father who is also a sexy alpha male. This story started at an writers convention and I loved that. Josh is supporting his best friend Nicky Love at a writers convention. During this week you will meet so many great characters and most of them will have you in stitches. Josh meets Leelee and can't get her out of this mind. Come along for the wild ride of their relationship

These Carolina Bad Boys are big old teddy bears at heart. Lots of Lovin’ with these men. Makes you want to be one of their conquests.
The series starts with Josh and LeeLee story. It’ll have you laughing your butt off with what Josh goes through with his best friend Nicky ( an Author) at RomCon.
It truly shows what best friends will do for one another, while giving you the laughs while also showing their serious sides. Some HOT sex in this one. Will Josh find the love of his life?
Book 2 is Nick and Cat’s story.. This one is a little more serious, we find out more about the family dynamics of Cat’s family and also a bit more about Nicky’s. This book has HOT sex too .. But has a more serious tone to the story also. Might get a bit teary in this one. Will Cat forgive? Will they find true happiness?
Book 3 wow!! This book is Brodie’s and Ashe’s story. It’ll give some closure for the past books, while letting us find out more about them as a couple. A lot more HOT and Steamy sex in this one. Will the love Brodie and Ashe claim to share survive what is in store for them?
I truly loved these books. I need to get answers to a few unanswered questions I have. I highly suggest that you read these books in order to get the full feelings of Love and Friendship these characters have for one another. Being family doesn’t mean in name only as these books will show you. I will be getting the next books in the series.

I have read Rie Warren's Bad Boys of Retribution set and loved those so when the opportunity of reading this box set came up I jumped on it. I loved all 3 books. Each book is focused on one particular guy. All of them are hot alpha males that think they will not fall for just one woman. The first book is Josh Stone. His best friend happens to write romance novels and needs him to pretend to be gay for a week so the ladies will keep their distances during the week. What they didn't count on was Leelee and how fast Josh fell for her and how he wants to tell her that he is not gay. But that would ruin everything for him and ruin his best friends career. Is love really strong enough in the end?
The second book is Josh's best friend and Nicky and Stone's employee Cat or better known as "Wildcat". Nicky knows a thing or two about romance but what he doesn't know is the feelings he develops for Cat. The secrets are big and the sex is amazing. Can these two find common ground or than the great sex to make it work?
The third book is Brodie Steele and Ashe Kingston. Brodie is in an motor cycle club and Ashe is a police officer. These two don't mix like oil and water. Loved this entire series!! Each book focus's on a different couple and they are all hot from the beginning to the end. The banter between the characters will have you laughing your pants off at times. and the steamy scenes ladies you will need multiple pairs of panties for these books. You will go through ups, downs, joy then grief just many different emotions and feelings all around.
Stone at your service book 1 is LeeLee and Josh's story. Love in the Fast Lane is about Nick & Cat. Steele into your heart is about Brodie and Ashe.
The emotions you go through for each book vary so differently. Stone is more lighthearted and witty, while Love is kind of unstable and eruptive. But then you get to Steele and it has a bit more suspense than book 1 & 2 as well as a bit more emotional.

I have read a couple of Rie Warren books and I'm pretty much set that I want to live where she gets her man meat material from. LOL I'm not sure if it's in her head or if it's an actual place but both must be magical with unicorns, rainbows and sexy men.
This box set just cemented it into my head that this author is a favorite. I wish I could say I had a favorite story out of the three included in this set but I just can't. These are definitely up there on the sexy time and laugh ratios but they can be serious also. If I'd had to choose between sleep and food or reading then I'm pretty sure I would've had black circles and lost a pant size. If you have not read any of this author's books then I suggest you get your head out of the sand and get one ASAP!!!

Joshua Stone (Stone), best bud Nicky Loveland (Love) and business partner Brodie Steele (Steele) all find very feisty partners with baggage. In the first book Nicky and Josh attend a writers' conference as gay lovers. That lasts until Josh meets Leelee at the conference! And then Nicky and Brodie meet their matches! Lots of hot classic cars, big motorcycles and family - blood family, the guys at the garage and the MC club. Very hard to put down! Now I need to read Chrome!

This book is for you IF you like books that don't take themselves too seriously, hot banging, and funny antics of big dudes in their perspective.
Rie Warren's series is full of laughs and banging. These books always make me smile on my poutiest of days. My favorite might be Stone's story, but then again I fell just as in love with Nick and Brodie.
I can't think of what better to do than spend an afternoon with one of these Carolina Bad Boys!

Thoroughly enjoyed
First of all I would like to thank Ms. Warren for the box set. Love when authors do this! Really enjoying this series so far. Looking forward to reading about Boomer. Maybe in the future we will see a book about Mick and Jules.
