DIRTY.

A seemingly innocuous five letter word until you pull back the layers of its meaning.

Imprisoned in a small room within the walls of the Satan's Creed Motorcycle Club compound, Casey Richards struggles to survive the only life she was raised to know. Her mother, a club whore, and her father, an unknown outlaw she’s never met, Casey’s fate is all but sealed in the eyes of the club.

Foul. Unclean. Undesirable.

Trapped in a loveless marriage, and with no children of her own, Emma Carsen is the only living soul willing to fight for her niece, Casey. She’s all but given up on saving her until the one man she’s longed to see again unexpectedly finds his way back to town and into her life.

Sordid. Vile. Unscrupulous.

Max Taylor, former-biker of a disbanded MC, has been holding onto reasons to avoid coming back to the small town he grew up in. The same ghosts that drove him away eventually force Max to find his way back. Now that he's home, he may be Casey’s only chance for freedom.

Filthy. Hateful. Impure.

In order to get to Casey, Max must find a way to infiltrate the MC. Setting up a meet with Hoss, Satan's Creed’s President who’s known for his depravity as much as his double-crossing ways, it’s made clear that forming an alliance is going to be more of a challenge than he expected. Now he must prove his loyalty to the club and in doing so, he’s forced to get his hands…

DIRTY.

TITLE: Dirty
SERIES: (Vengeance Duet, #1)
AUTHOR: A.C.Bextor
GENRE: Contemporary Romance
RELEASE DATE: July 15th 2015
MY RATING: 5 STARS

5 MAD MAX STARS

DIRTY was pretty intense, pretty ugly, pretty gritty and pretty damn good!!

A life of loneliness and neglect.

Note from the author: This book is book one of two in the Vengeance Duet and is categorized as romantic suspense, laced with darker themes. (Wooohooo bring on the dark)!! Book #2 is to be released in September..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is the first time I've read or come across this author before, being a huge reader of the biker genre I'm keen to see what this author is going to throw at me, hopefully it ticks all the boxes, I love coming across new authors..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The synopsis is what made me jump on this book, then the amount of five stars, and then being a biker book pretty much synched the deal!! Lover me a good biker book!!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The book jumps right into the scene of eleven year old (closer to twelve) Casey's life long captivity, she talks in detail about the room she's being held in, nothing but the bare basics in a concrete like cell..

Casey sits alone on her dingy floor and studies her hands. They're disgustingly dirty from no water to bathe in and uncontrollably shaky from lack of food. She doesn't sleep.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

She’s been born into a life of captivity with no hope for any possible escape to freedom. It is her mother who allows these men to keep her, to imprison her within these walls.

Then were introduced to Max, he seems a deep, complex man and Emma, Casey's Aunt whom seeks Max's help in getting Casey out of the hell hole she's imprisoned in.

Once I put my partner on mute and got reading this I was a goner, so fucking good!! Unique to the point that I can't compare it to any biker book I've previously read..The story line kept me glued to my ipad throughout until I read that last page..Will definitely love to read the next book in this series..

This is my first A.C. Bextor read, and this woman can seriously write. Her novel gripped me from the synopsis, and kept me captivated and riveted to each page, as I quickly turned, in my race to the finish line. Although, I was sorely disappointed with the ending, I'm still happy I get a book 2, to look forward to.

She’s been born into a life of captivity with no hope for any possible escape to freedom. It is her mother who allows these men to keep her, to imprison her within these walls.

This story situates itself, around the savage, Satan's Creed MC, dealing in illegal activities, amongst which is the sex/flesh trade. A young eleven year old girl, has been enslaved, and kept prisoner within the darkest and meekest of confinements. Born and breed within the MC, Casey's story gives us insight into her fears, details of her confinement and her deplorable, day to day living, and interaction with the most of unsavory of characters, that she meets, when they visit her cell.

Casey sits alone on her dingy floor and studies her hands. They're disgustingly dirty from no water to bathe in and uncontrollably shaky from lack of food.

Even though Casey may believe she is alone, she isn't at all. Her aunt, her mother's younger sister, Emma, has been fighting at every turn, to rescue Casey. Shot down on numerous occasions and threatened, Emma, seeks the help of an old crush, and her sister's ex-boyfriend, Max Taylor.

Max has recently returned to town, after years of being on the road. Running from his past, from the emotions of his sister's brutal murder. From the fear of regret and uncertainty in his parents eyes. Max's return brings him face to face with his past, and the one girl, he always thought he wasn't good enough for, Emma Carsen.

Seeking Max's help, Emma agrees to slide to the background, while Max infiltrates the MC, in order to assess Casey's situation, while trying to find a way to gain her freedom. Within the MC, what Max finds, unsettles him to the core. The deplorable conditions that Casey is kept under. The vile men, lurking to get at her, the illegal activity, and the brutal men that make up Satan's Creed. The club president, is a man after his own intentions, a man that Max grew up with, a man turned evil.

Amidst the heartbreaking tale of Casey's life, Emma faces her own troubles with her husband. Living in a loveless marriage, Emma fights to be the good wife, while her husband throws her to the side, only looking for a perfect trophy wife to show off. Bored with her life and wanting something more, Emma fights against his oppression, an ends up bruised and beaten. All the while, Max's temper boils and boils, until he unleashes his fury.

In the pits of despair, thrust into a devastating situation, Emma and Max will fight for Casey, while battling their own demons, and becoming a united front, in order to survive the perils of the club and their own desires.

This book proved to me that despite your own troubles, their as still so many good and willing people in this devious world.

Max knew one day he'd have to return home. Bone wary, pushing one too many miles on the highway, the former-biker of a disbanded MC, is ready to come to terms with a past he'd sought to leave behind. Some pains you can't outrun, no matter how far you're willing to travel. But everything isn't right in Kansas. Emilyn Carsen is desperate, there's only one person she can turn to, one man she's able to trust in a town where law abiding officials openly turns a blind eye to corruption. No one has seen or heard from eleven-year-old Casey in almost a year. The clock is ticking down in a place where life and death is just as meaningless as the cargo the Satan's Creed Motorcycle Club holds. Five stars all the way around, different from my normal read.

Refreshing and heart-breaking. Dirty is a story about fear, love, passion and danger.
Casey is a young girl trapped in an awful world. She has no one; she is scared and alone, locked in a motorcycle club's compound. Satan's Creed MC is one of the deadliest clubs around. They trade guns, drugs and women. Casey is treated like an object, hidden from the world, away from a gentle touch. Her own mother has abandoned her.

 photo 10547586_866935683399182_6567995148647759401_n_zpsujftw0vl.jpg

When her aunt starts a fight against the MC in order to save her, Casey will meet gentle Max. Max is a brave biker who will do everything to save the young girl from the club's clutches. His hidden feelings for Casey's aunt, Em, will drive him deep into the club's inner circles and he will risk his life to get to the young girl that will come to mean a lot to him.
Their brief encounters will mark him and his heart will break for Casey's enslavement.

The book will be completed in two parts and this first book leaves us hanging!
The writing sucked me in immediately and I have to say that it is quite a refreshing story. It's not your usual MC read. Max amazed me with his loyalty and kindness. One of the best characters I've ever read.
Casey simply stunned me with her sad life. I wanted to see her out of that hell and I hope that the next book will give her freedom.
I cannot wait for the next book!! September can't come fast enough.

5 Stars from me!

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

**JOSIE'S REVIEW**

I am Biker book fan and after I read the synopsis I knew this would be different from this author’s other work. Dirty was heart-breaking, gritty and it messed with my head. Dirty will bring fear to your heart, it is suspenseful, dark but through the dark and ugly love will emerge. The prologue will gut you. I was a wreck, but I could not put this book down.

We start off when Casey is around 11 year olds, living a life of captivity. Her words are tough to swallow but you will feel everything that this poor girl is goes through. She details her time in her concrete room right down to the bareness, harshness and the loneliness she deals with. She is a captive of the Satan’s Creed MC. One where her mother is an Old Lady and is supposed to protect her, but is strung out on drugs. Casey is used as a payment for her debt. The name Satan’s Creed MC is spot on. They are the deadliest, depraved and most brutal MC club around. They make the money and earn the fear by trading guns, drugs, women and children.

Casey’s Aunt Emma loves her and has tried everything to get out of the MC but to no avail. After one final confrontation with the MC, Emma is not allowed to see Casey any longer. She is worried about her niece and reaches out to the only man that can save her, Max. Max was a former member of an MC but has since life that lifestyle. After Emma expresses her concern for Casey he agrees to help.

Emma and Max have been hiding their feelings for one another since they were kids. Max chose to date Emma’s sister Dee Dee because he always felt she was too good for him. Max believed Dee Dee was more his type. An easy lay and a party girl, where Emma was smart, beautiful and soft spoken. Because Max led a wildlife and was constantly in trouble he never played on his feeling with Em, and has always regretted it. Emma never thought Max would want her and she has to try and move on with her life. She is married to a lawyer now but lives a very sad life. The little time she spent with her niece Casey bought light into her life and now she longer has it.

Max’s feelings for Emma has him infiltrating the Satan’s Creed MC in search of Casey. When Max finally sees Casey his life will no longer be the same. What Max sees behind the Satan’s Creed MC brought this big, gorgeous man to his knees but it is in that moment Max decided he will do anything to get her out of there.

Max’s risk his life and his sense of morals to try and come up with a plan to save Casey. Max and Emma start to spend time together and during this time the chemistry and feelings grow stronger. When Emma’s husband makes a huge mistake Max is no longer ok with respecting their marriage he wants Emma, in his bed, in his life and with him. Dirty is told in 3 POV’s and each POV will touch your heart and soul. Amongst the cruel Casey lives she finds a friend in Max and longs for those short visits. Can Max find a way to rescue Casey from the clutches of the Satan’s Creed MC? Will Max finally be able to have Emma as his own? This book is one that will pull a lot of emotions from you. I just loved it.

Dirty is the first of two books in the Vengeance Duet; bringing us the story of Max, Emma and Emma’s niece Casey. At just eleven years old, Casey hasn’t known a life outside of the Satan’s Creed MC – beyond a few brief moments of her aunt visiting, her childhood is tainted. And now she’s kept under lock and key – awaiting something, something doesn’t quite understand.

Max left town over a decade ago, escaping after the grief of his sister’s murder. But upon his return, when he learns of Emma’s dangerous attempts at getting close to the MC to get her niece, he steps in. Willing to do whatever it takes to keep her safe and get her exactly what she wants.

Emma always had a crush on Max, but with growing up with him and her sister dating, he was always off limits. But a lot has changed over the last decade, even if some of those changes are a bit more complicated than just poor timing and crazy bikers.

This was my first A.C. Bextor read and I have to say that I am a fan. The writing was phenomenal, the story was gritty, dark a bit sadistic and I loved every second of it. The underbelly of the beast is fully exposed when Max infiltrates the MC. But this MC doesn’t just deal in blood and blow. Ties to human trafficking, with young girls being kept and sold to the highest bidder.

I loved getting three POVs throughout this story. Getting a glimpse into the situation from Casey’s view of things really gave this story a bit more dimension. And although her voice was a bit more mature than her character – it worked perfectly.

You know you’ve enjoyed the book when you finish it and instantly purchase the next in the series and barely take a breath before diving right in to get the complete story. I could not put this down. I loved Max and his need to protect Emma and to do what was right. I loved the side characters, well not the crazy as fuck MC guys – but you know what I mean.

If you love your romances dark, pick this up. You will not be let down. #MustRead

4.5 stars!

Thanks for the recommendation Joelle!

Wow...this story packs a punch...Dark,
Disturbing, Suspenseful and full of intrigue....
This is not your typical MC read!
Max a former MC member from another club reunites with Emma, which ignites
long forgotten desires in both if them, He's immersed himself in the very thing
He walked away from, but Satan's Creed MC have Emma's niece, with no contact allowed, Max is Emma's only hope of getting her out and away from the club...Casey's story is heart wrenching
And parts are difficult to read...
Max finally locates where shes being held, deplorable conditions and a crazy sadistic VP, make this extremely dangerous for everyone involved...

Captivating characters and great storyline...it's going to be one Scary vengeful fucking ride....with more to come in the next book!
I can't wait... ;)

LOVED IT. What a fantastic cast of characters in Dirty
Dirty. Ive said it once and i will say it again. AC Bextor is a wonderful storyteller whose skilled and emotional writing evokes all types of emotions. Hangar is a sadistic psychopath who made my skin crawl. What can i say about Aimes and Lelow? Loved the Easton brothers. Max is a sexy badass who knows who he wants. I wanted to wrap Casey in my arms and protect her from the sick, twisted bastards of Creed. This is the Vengeance Duet. Aptly named. Im thinking of a few people who need to pay for unspeakable crimes.
I will be counting the days until Torch comes out in September and concludes the story.

4.5 Mission Impossible Stars

So not The Mission Impossible, but an impossible mission. One that will leave you with a big.....WHATTTT? at the end.

Max is back in town. He left years ago and made a life with a MC. Now he is out of the club and back home. As he reconnects with old friends and those he let slip through his fingers, he is asked to do an impossible task. One that he would like to say no to, but can't.

Emilyn knew Max when she was a young girl. Now she is grown up and in need of his special skills. She needs someone to get her neice back. Back from the Club that has terrorized the town and holds more than little girls hostage.

Max and Emilyn have a history. One that is not over yet.

"Em, if I let go of my back against this door, I'm comin' at you." I tell her and watch her eyes widen. "When I say I'm comin' at you, I mean once I do, I won't stop until you're under me, begging me to stop so you can catch your breath."

This is part one of the series. It does not end on a cliffhanger. It just ends. This is a dark, gritty, well written story that will suck you in and have you holding your breath. You just have to hold it until Book 2. Another Impossible Mission.

This isn’t your typical MC member meets girl and they fall in love story – this is some serious stuff – it’s sad and heartbreaking…but I see a light at the end of the tunnel!

Poor little 12 year old Casey is suffering something a child never should – locked away by an MC….her mother needs a good jab to the face!

Em knew Max before he left 13 years ago, as he dated her sister..but Max is now back. She enlists his help to get Casey, her niece, out from the clutches of the MC. Max always had feelings for her so agrees, and he goes in with the Satans Creed MC – they are not nice!

Hanger – uuugh, what a vile, twisted human being he is – made my skin crawl!
Aimes and Lelow – YES PLEASE!
Cilas – I think it’s a yes there too!

The world through Casey’s eyes chapters are heartbreaking but there are some steamy moments between Max & Em ‘I’m in Max Taylors bed. And I just made him come like a schoolboy!!’

I have a feeling about what’s going to happen – I’ll find out in book 2 – hurry up September (don’t worry, it’s not a cliffy as such!)

Fantastic. Simple as that.
AC Bextor ventures into an even more shaded story than the gritty series we are familiar with and does not shy away from tackling a terrifying subject matter. She doesn't sugarcoat it—tells it the only way such a dark, sensitive and horrific story can be told. In plain English from all necessary viewpoints.

The story is woven together with new as well as familiar characters, giving the reader a solid context. And like an onion, layer after layer of intrigue are peeled away to reveal a unique story. One that will undoubtedly make you uncomfortable at times by sheer merit of a little girl who is the 'red thread' in this plot.

Even though DIRTY is the first of two books, the ending leaves you with positive anticipation, and not with the anxiety of a cliff-hanger. The resolution will follow in TRUST, for which we won't have to wait too long.

A courageous bit of writing by AC Bextor, that will leave your hands clammy and your heart racing. The best kind of read—one that you can feel in your bones.

AC Bextor has done it again!! After reading that prologue in Casey's POV I was hooked!! From the day she was born almost 12 years ago she has lived a life of captivity. Home for her is 4 concrete walls and a bare room with a desk and mattress. She longs to be free.....but will she ever get that chance or will the life ahead of her be just as dark and empty? Casey's only hope of escape will be from her aunt Emma and Max......

All Em wants to do is get her niece Casey out of Satan's Creed MC and home safe with her but she has been able to do that on her own. Once her childhood crush and friend Max comes back to town she knows he is her only hope but will he agree?

Satan's Creed is the one MC you know to stay away from. They are NOT good in anyway but Max's only chance of saving Casey will force him to prove his loyalty to them no matter what the costs even at the risk of his own life. Once inside he see's just how dark and twisted they really are.....why is Casey being held? What exactly is it that the Satan's Creed do with their women? Will Max be able to save her in time or will they find out why Max is really there?

My nerves were a nervous wreck reading Dirty...I hurt for Casey and just wanted to save her but I was also worried for Max. Hoss would have no trouble killing him for double crossing them and Hangar is seriously crazy!!! Someone really needs to torture and kill that man. I loved the relationship between Max and Em! Holy smokes was Max hot, dirty and demanding in the bedroom!!!

Is it September yet bc I really need book 2?!?!? If you have not read any of AC's books you are truly missing out!! She is absolutely amazing and knows how to make you fall in love with her story and characters while sitting on the edge of your seat chewing your nails off wondering what is going to happen next!!!! I definitely recommend one clicking not only Dirty but all of her books!!!

And yes AC......I still love your face hard!!!! <3

WOW

I'm a huge fan of A.C. Bextor and MC books. So when I got the opportunity to read Dirty I signed up right away. Dirty is part one of the Vengeance Duet .

Dirty hooked me with its blurb and after I started reading I couldn't stop. The story is everything you expect in a MC book and more: it is raw and gritty, dark and intense. Once you start reading you'll not be able to stop!

The characters are great! Max isn't your typical, he isn't a member of a club but he gets involved with the Satan's Creed MC. He is very loyal to his friends and will do anything to protect them. Emma is a strong, stubborn woman.

Once again, A.C. Bextor wrote an awesome book, with an amazing story and great characters. Can't wait to read Truth , part two of the Vengeance Duet!

Awesome story!!!! Sad in parts knowing there are people out there like the Creed MC. It's a very deep plot with strong characters especially Casey. I love Max (not as much as the Lights of Peril or Devil's Despair guys)! I love the section with Max's parents - they remind me of my husband's parents. They were just like that except my mother-in-law could cook despite being sick with COPD. I can't wait for the second part to see what the outcome will be. I recommend anything A. C. writes. If you haven't read her other series, I strongly suggest you do!

4 Crowns

Book 1 in the Vengeance Duet series.

Max Taylor is back home after many years away. Having spent time in a now disbanded MC, he is back and determined to find the murderer of his sister and finally find a place he can settle in and make a life for himself. However, Max soon finds out that the Satan's Creed MC have taken over the town and he might be the only one that can bring them down.

Emma Carsen always loved Max, but he was always just out of reach. Now he is back but she is married. They might not be able to pursue anything romantically, but what they can be is friends. In fact, he may be the only friend she has that can help her find out what has happened to her niece Casey. Unable to visit her on the Satan's Creed compound any more, she fears that her young niece is being abused. But to make waves with the MC is a death sentence; can she expect Max to risk himself for her and Casey?

And in the background is a young girl. Tired, scared, lonely and confused. She is a captive and she fears that this may just be the only life she ever knows.

Once again A.C. Bextor delivers another unique book. I can only admire her for the thought and imagination she uses in every book that she gives us. Her writing is always flawless and the depth of both her characters and the storylines means that you go on a real journey when you pick up one of her books.

Be warned this is on the darker side - If I am being totally honest, a little darker than what I would usually read. Yes, it involves a MC, but it isn't a MC romance at all. This is a dark romance where the bad guys are bad and even the good guys aren't squeaky clean. Told from Max's POV, you also get chapters told in the third person describing Casey's situation. They are tough to read, but knowing help is on it's way makes those chapters easier to digest. On the flip side you also have a building relationship between Max and Emma, although this isn't the main focus of the book at all, more an added sweetener.

Although this book is to be told over 2 books, I can happily say that I didn't feel it ended on a cliff hanger as such. It feels like a natural break in the story, but one that will have you the reader anxious to read the conclusion coming in September.

A good read that was a little dark for me, but that highlights once again the writing, imagination and good old talent that A.C. Bextor creates her books with. If you like your romance a little darker then this is a read I would recommend.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book has so many things going on in it, each storyline hooks its claws into you and doesn't let go! Since this is a 2 part story, nothing we want to know is answered or resolved by the end of this one.

Max has returned to his hometown after being gone several years. He returns to a whole mess of drama and danger. The girl he always wanted but never made a move on is in an unhappy marriage and he can't help but want Emilyn for himself. His feelings for her have only grown stronger and he knows she isn't being treated like she deserves.

Emilyn's niece, Casey, is being held by a biker club called Satan's Creed. For what purpose, she doesn't know, but we learn she's in danger of being sold into sexual slavery. Just being held at the MC is a threat to her well being. The club members and people who frequent the place are sick and twisted, they'd have no qualms over hurting an innocent girl. Emilyn wants to get her niece out of there but doesn't know where to turn, so she asks Max for help.

Max has to hook up with old connections that are fraught with peril, and even pretend to be one of bad guys in order to be able to get close to Casey and figure out a plan. Time isn't on his side, as Casey's situation grows more dire with each passing day. He gets with some friends of his from growing up who are experienced in covert operations, but are the good guys, and they formulate a couple of complicated scenarios to rescue Casey.

Max doesn't know who can be trusted, the situation seems to be moving out of control and he is worried about the outcome. Unfortunately, the bad guys know that Emilyn is important to him so she can be used against him. So now he has to watch out not only for Casey but her too. We have to wait for the next book to see how it all plays out.

Was fortunate to receive an ARC on Dirty. Finished it and now I am impatiently waiting for book 2. Dirty builds us our story. We have Max who is back in town after 12yrs of being away from the town where he lost his sister and left behind a girl that has stayed in his mind the whole time he has been gone. Em is that girl, and she is trying to find her very young niece Casey who is somewhere inside the Satan's Creed compound. Em has also crushed on Max since she was a teenager. But Em's older sister Dee Dee (Casey's mom) had Max's attention back then. Or did she? Max has agreed to go in and find Casey. That is the sum of Dirty.
Building around that AC has given us a host of characters. President of the Satan's Creed Hoss Lattimore. Hanger, his crazy as f@ck VP. Cilas is the club member who watches over the club's "things". (I'm still trying to figure out Cilas) And there is Viktor the russian who has a special interest in Casey.
To balance these shady characters AC gives us Tommy, Max's friend from his early yrs in town, Lelow and Aimes Easton, brothers and bounty hunters.
So Casey needs to be found and rescued from a dangerous MC. Max and Em finally get to act on their feelings for each other and start to build their relationship. Lelow and Aimes are going off the grid to do what they need to do to help rescue Casey. And we are at the end of Dirty. Ugh!
If you are familiar with AC Bextor's work then you know she has a gift for creating a story that plays itself vividly in our imaginations. Now I have it on pause because I need the next book to see how she plays this out. I started this book knowing the ending would not happen till book 2. But was so into the story that I still had an expectation of turning the next page.

The suspense is killing me!!!

Casey is a young girl imprisoned inside the Satan's Creed MC compound. She is the daughter of the VP's old lady, Dee Dee and an unknown outlaw. She's lived in the compound most of her life. She has little education and lives in a locked room. She is unaware of the evil that waits for her. Her only hope is her aunt Emma. Emma has tried everything to help Casey. This is her main focus. She only hopes that a man from her past can help her niece. This is the same man she had a crush on most of her teenage years.
Max Taylor is a forty-three year old former biker of a dis-banded mc. He has come home for awhile even though this town holds ghost that still haunt him. He's not home long before he hears that a woman from his past wants to talk. This is the woman he would always want but could never have.
Emma needs Max's help. To help her Max will have to get back in bed with a very dangerous devil and do business. This is not what he wants. He wanted away from mc's for awhile. His loyalty to Emma had no limits.
Dirty was a great read for me. It shows the darker side of a mc story along with suspense and enough steamy scenes to keep the heart pumping. I can not wait for part two. The part where the book ended was well placed and can lead into the next book easily .Great job A.C. Bextor and thank you for your hard work.

Reviewed for Hooked on Books---4 1/2 stars!

I'm no stranger to MC books and I'm no stranger to dark themes and this one has both; definitely one of the darker ones I've read in quite a while. Lately, I've been in a bit of a slump and this one was a bit refreshing, despite the fact that it was a good bit more gritty, perhaps raw than what I've read lately---and it was, in a way, refreshing.
I'll start off by saying that Satan's Creed is the name of this MC and it's very fitting. These men are borderline evil. They are what you think when you've never read an MC book and you want an impression. Emma and Dee Dee are sisters and they couldn't be more different if they tried. Max used to mess around with Dee Dee. Max is someone who used to be with her way back when and since he's not patched in a club anywhere, Emma enlists Max's help to try to get her niece out of Satan's Creed who just happens to be Dee Dee's daughter. Trouble also comes in the form of Emma's a**hole husband Greg.
Plenty of drama, slightly gory at times, well written, and raw; this book has everything a hardcore reader would want in a book. I can't wait for the second one to come out!

I am a big fan of this author and her Lights of Peril series! So when I got the chance to read Dirty I jumped! Now this is a two part so don’t expect a HEA with this book. Will have to wait for the story to continue.
Now, this story is a little different from your typical MC book. Max is not your typical biker. He is not part of a club. He does however get tangled up with Satan’s Creed MC.
Max is a great character. He is a man that will do whatever is necessary to help his friends. Emma is a little headstrong, but I feel she is also easily intimidated. But when dealing with Satan’s Creed who wouldn’t be?
This story is somewhat dark and deals with disturbing material. The author did a great job with the detail that went in to some of the scenes. I would love to be a fly on the wall to get to witness her creative process! Not sure where she comes up with some of the stuff, but she makes it into a fabulous book.
Already wishing that the next one was out!

This is one of those books that starts at a low simmer, building and building until it's almost about to boil over. Right from the start it grabs your attention with a steady pace and slow reveal that pulls you deeper in. I really liked Casey, Max and Emilyn; and of course Aimes and Lelow. There is a great cast of characters to both love and loathe. There was a scene or two that was pushing the limits of my comfort zone but I applaud AC for blurring the line and not crossing it. You'll know when you get there. I'm really excited for TRUTH. There was so much set up I can't wait for what I anticipate to be a really explosive end to these characters' stories. Although this is an MC book this has a different feel and edge than AC's Peril series. As far as MC I think this is one of her best yet.

Dirty. Wow where do I start. After reading the prologue you're hooked. Really. This is a very suspenseful, intense, emotional read and it has you on edge the whole way through. Love the characters, love the story line and I did not want it to end. I love how AC BEXTOR has the ability to captivate you with her stories. I can't wait for book 2, wanting to know how the story ends. Well done and a definite recommend. 5 stars for me.

This book blew me away, it's not your typical MC romance and expect the unexpected. That's all I can say, my heart broke, was slowly put back together to just be broken again. No child should have to go thru what Emliy went thru. She still stayed strong in the face of it all. This book is about so many different things

"Her life is worth more than she's living of it it now, and I'm going to give her the chance to change it."
Dirty is raw, heart-breaking and intense. This book was hard for me to review. On one end, I loved the hero and the story was definitely engaging. On the other, there was a kid that played an important role, but not one I'm accustomed to reading in contemporary novels. I'm all for guardian/child relationship growth! And when Max did have these fleeting moments with Casey, my heart warmed so much. But there were a number of parts that didn't sit well for me at all. In the end, I decided to average my star rating but I thought the story itself was great and very well written!

Casey has essentially been a prisoner of Satan's Creed MC all her life, locked up in an isolated part of the compound—her freedom stripped away. Her only comfort is in drawing. As the story progresses, you get the feeling there's a ticking time bomb hanging above her head. She's been neglected by her mother and the only person who still truly cares for her is her aunt, Emma.

Emma has been trying to get Casey out of that horrid place but has found no success. Even the police wouldn't help her. Now she's gone to Max, childhood friend and former MC member, for his help. Unlike most novels where the povs are of a hero and his love interest, the other pov in Dirty is Casey's which is the main reason behind my conflicted feelings. My heart bled for Casey. The poor girl. To be put in such an environment at such a young age. You could easily tell how mature she was from her narrative. Her pov chapters were effective in making me sympathize and see the urgency in getting her out. But I would have personally preferred to have not read them. This was a kind of dark element that I couldn't handle and wasn't prepared for.

There's one antagonist that was so disgusting. If I could, I'd beat him to a pulp! He definitely evoked feelings of rage, hate and even fear from me. Any mentioning of him, brought my reading enjoyment level down 100 notches. I'm grateful that there were wonderful secondary characters outside of Satan's Creed. They brought moments of comic relief in an otherwise severe situation. I also enjoyed the romance between Emma and Max. Max has the makings of a true hero. His sense of justice is strong and I loved how cunning he was, infiltrating the enemy without actually joining the enemy. He was also incredibly sweet and gentle when it came to Em and Casey.

Even though I didn't enjoy this book in its entirety, one thing is certain, A.C. Bextor knows how to make you feel ALL the emotions. I'm eagerly awaiting the next book and a happy ending!!

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

Plots within plots, storylines intertwined and social issues addressed flow through this amazingly intricate novel Dirty by author A.C. Bextor. In this first book from the Vengeance Duet series, Ms. Bextor once again demonstrates her ability to mesmerize her reader while creating an unforgettable world of love, vengeance and hauntingly moving characters. As I read this book, my emotions ran a gamut of highs and lows. At times there was laughter, love and hope then depression, hopelessness and what will happen next. This is Emilyn Carsen and Max Taylor’s journey to find lost love, vengeance, and redemption! You will not want to miss one word of their remarkable story.

Born into a nightmare, Casey is the product of her mother a club whore and an unknown father. Her only bright spot is her memories of her early years, before she became Dirty, Unclean and Unloved! Now Casey belongs to an MC at the age of eleven, she is caged and without hope. She does not realize that she has a champion in her mother’s sister, Emilyn. A champion that will do whatever has to be done to free her from the life she lives in! Emilyn turns to an old friend that has returned to home, Max to help her free her niece. The truth is that Emilyn has never forgotten this man, the man that she wanted but that belonged to her sister.

Max is a man that has tried to run from his past and the nightmares he cannot escape. He has lived a rough life, done things that haunt him but he now finds himself home again, where everything started. When he sees Emilyn again he cannot deny his response to the woman she has become, but now there are too many things standing between them. When she asks him to help her, he cannot say no even though it means assuming the bad boy mantle he left behind. He will do whatever is necessary to get Casey out of the hell she is living in and keep Emilyn safe!

I fell in love with Max the man, the bad boy! The characters in this book are so well developed that you cannot help but fall into their lives and feel their emotions. The only thing that I can say about this book is WOW and when can I have the second half?

"In the face of evil, it takes great will to remain calm." ~ Max

And in the face of evil is where he stands. With Dirty, A.C. Bextor gives her readers a nice set up for a dark, romantic and suspenseful MC book. Max is back in his hometown after a twelve year absence. He needed to try and get away from the trauma that still haunts him. Now that he's a little older and a little wiser, Max thinks he can go back to where he left off with his friends and family.

Emma knows Max is back as the town gossip spreads like wildfire. Just young girl when he left, she is surprised to see the man that has returned. Emma is married to a man that doesn't appreciate her, it doesn't take long for Max to get her attention. After trying to save her niece Casey and hitting a dead end, Emma knows Max is the perfect man for the job.

"There are people here I've missed, places I've longed to see again, but always only one woman I've ached to touch." ~ Max

Even with the years passed, Emma is still the most beautiful girl in Max's eyes. Too bad he knows he isn't good enough for her, however neither is the man that has her. Agreeing to help with Casey's rescue has opened up a whole new can of feelings for Max and Emma. Major problems ahead, she has a husband and he has a dangerous plan to get to the kid.

Dirty is well written as we hear from Max, Emma and even little Casey. I am reviewing a bit vague as to not spoil any of the story line. A.C. Bextor gets pretty dark at some points, so beware if you have a queasy stomach. Written in two parts, book one is a fabulous set up making you count the days until the next one releases.
