I read the Hacker series book 1-5 while sick. I wish I had time to write reviews.
Harvard graduate Erica Hathaway’s whirlwind romance with former hacker and billionaire technology investor Blake Landon continues...
This was a spectacular read for me. Just what the doctored ordered. Many twists and turns and after all is said, an epic read. 6-star shelf.

4 Love Wins All Stars
Hard Love is the concluding story to the Hacker series.
I love this series. I read the first books back to back. I love it so much I even bought the audio version (because it’s the BEST form of re-reading). I love it so much I got the paperback copies, on top of my kindle copies on top of my ARC copies. Oh but wait, I love it SO much, I even got my paperback copies signed.
Not only Meredith is talented and writes a good series, BUT she’s very generous and SUPER SWEET. I LOVE THAT!
This series has put me in a roller coaster of emotions, but I enjoyed every step of it. I love that with each book, you get the progression of the relationship.
Recently married, Blake and Erica are quickly thrown back into the real world. Blake and Erica continue to work on the relationship. Erica works on not running away during a difficult situation and Blake works on opening up when faced with a difficult situation. Both are suborn and both I love.
Blake is faced with criminal charges **GASP** and Erica is the women to get him through it. I love how strong Erica is. She’s dealt with a lot and yet it doesn’t make her any weaker. Blake is the nerdy Hero, I still love and he has his flaws, but my heart melts towards his love for Erica.
“…I’m going to make you fall in love with me all over again. Every morning and every night. In every city and at the edge of every ocean. I’ll remind you why you’re mine and why I’ve always been yours.”
“I found myself falling in love with him all over again. I feel in love with the broken parts and the parts that had healed and changed for the better. Ours was a hard love.”
Hard Love is simply about that, a true unbreakable love. I love that it’s Blake AND Erica’s story. Its them verse the world and I wouldn’t have it any other way. They have their flaws because they are human but that makes the story even juicier.
What really worked for me is that I got what I wanted. I wanted something, short, sweet and slightly angsty. I also wanted my questions answered and justice served (you will find out who gets it or not). It was the perfect conclusion.
I even love the little treat in the end.

I’ve read all of the books in the Hacker series--some of them more than once, so I was waiting with baited breath for Hard Love. I was so excited to see what happened to Blake and Erika after the trauma of her getting shot...
Hard Love picks up on their honeymoon, but in true Meredith Wild fashion, there is mystery, suspense and some HARD LOVE going on. We are taken down a winding road filled with folks from their past, which culminates in an attempt to bring Blake down one more time.
I’m a lover of love, and an even bigger lover of suspense, so this was exactly what I needed and wanted from Blake and Erika. I was left with a couple of dangling questions and I’m hopeful that translates to maybe a new series--PLEASE :)--so I can see what happens with Heath and Alli, but we do get our HEA for Blake and Erika and that...that was exactly what I needed. ~ Heather, 4.5 stars

Blake and Erica Landon have gone through a lot to get where they are today. They have faced challenges to their businesses, to their relationship—even to their lives. To say these two have gone through the ringer is an understatement. Manipulations, betrayals and secrets have almost torn the lovers apart more than once. A little more jaded but even more devoted to each other, they are finally in a place where they can look to the future rather than over their shoulder.
“I caught her hand gently, holding it against my heart where it raced beneath my ribs. Every bittersweet ache, every rush of love felt there belonged to her.”
Well, so they thought. This series has been driven by suspense and love and this installment has that and more. Their relationship is going to face one more challenge that will truly test how deep their love for each other is. A bit of the back and forth I’m used to with these two, with the tense storyline moving at a fast pace with an outcome I couldn’t be happier with.
A great way to end (?) the series! ~ Diane, 4.5 stars

Hard Love was the absolute perfect conclusion to Meredith Wild’s captivating and utterly phenomenal Hacker Series. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending book for Blake and Erica and their breathtakingly emotional love story. This series is one of my all-time favorites, and what Meredith Wild gave me in each of these books, but especially in Hard Love, left me in true literary awe. As I sit here writing this review, I still can’t believe that Blake and Erica’s story is really over, but what I got from those two dynamic characters in this book is something I will never forget.
Meredith Wild weaves her distinctive writing magic once again in a gripping story that has you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end, has you feeling and fully experiencing every thoughtfully crafted emotion and feeling, and has you realizing once again why Blake and Erica’s journey together is beautiful, authentic, and utterly unforgettable to say the least.
Hard Love is an enthralling, superbly intense, and emotionally breathtaking read that I loved every word of. It’s a beautiful love story, brimming with raw, vulnerable, consuming love that’s depth truly has no boundaries. While reading Hard Love you will breathe in the fierce love that Blake and Erica share, and that love will fill you. It will melt and simultaneously ignite you. It will mesmerize you with every word, and have you feeling every ounce of this book in the most remarkable way. There is something so special and wonderful about the love that Blake and Erica share, and Meredith Wild gives you one last outstanding chapter to relish in all of that love.
The entire time I was reading Hard Love, I was enraptured with Blake and Erica and what they were going through in this story. I felt for them. I loved them so fiercely, and I connected to them on such a real level because of how fantastically Meredith Wild creates and captures their characters. I just got them one hundred percent. I understood them, their thoughts and feelings, their desires, their flaws, and everything that made them the wonderfully distinctive characters that they are.
The events of Hard Love are engaging in every way, and Erica and Blake are faced with one last fight, and one last hurdle to overcome in order to be together. There were so many times while reading where I didn’t know where the next page would take these two, and Hard Love had so many fantastically shocking moments that just pulled me in all the more. The many intense and varied events brought out so much in their characters, and truly allowed me to understand them on completely new level. Obviously I’ve known their characters since Hardwired, and I’ve had the phenomenal chance to see them evolve over the course of the series, but in Hard Love you really get them.
You get them at their most vulnerable at times, and at their fiercest at others. You get the real, honest and raw them, and getting them on that level is spectacular. That allows you such an immense understanding of their characters, their motives, and just how far they will go to be with one another. It brings out such an exceptional level of fight and determination and will power from them both that will have you feeling them every single breathtaking step of the way. Having that well rounded and magnificently crafted understanding of them sets this chapter of their story in a league of its own.
In Hard Love you get to see Erica’s sheer strength and fight come out full force once again. There is such a power to her character, such a determination that defines her in the best way, and a stubbornness that makes you smile, but really exemplifies so much about her. The level of fight Erica has is remarkable, and is just one of the many things I love about her character because she never gives up, she never stops giving it her all, and she never stops fighting for the love that she and Blake share. The events of Hard Love definitely throw her for a bit of a loop in more ways than one, but through it all Erica keeps trying with all her might to get her and Blake to the place they both want to be. I heart that girl something fierce for her unwavering fierceness, and she is hands down one of my favorite female characters ever.
Blake Landon is one of the most intense and dynamic characters I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. There is such a force and presence to him that just emanates from these books. You feel that fully once again in Hard Love, but what was even more amazing in this book was that you got to see an entirely new side to Blake. You get to see a more vulnerable side, a more raw and visceral side that just pulls at your heart again and again. You really get to see how his past is affecting his present and future, and what that all adds to the story. There are so many remarkable layers to his character, and you get to delve heart first into each and every one of them, allowing you the phenomenal opportunity to see Blake Landon in a way you’ve never seen him before. He’s still the Blake you know and love, but in this chapter of the story you get more of him, and that more is the best.
Along with Blake and Erica, you get one last chance to spend time with the wonderfully distinctive supporting characters that help make this series the spectacular thing that it is. I loved getting to spend time with each and every one of them, even the ones who I sometimes wish I could shake for the things they were doing. They added a magnificent layer to everything that I was reading, and their interactions with Blake and Erica had me feeling and thinking and experiencing so much. I loved each and every one of them for different reasons, but mostly I loved them all because they were them through and through, they brought so much to the story, and they brought out so many immense and incredibly immense things from Blake and Erica. I’ve also got my fingers crossed that at some point in the future we’ll get a little bit more from some of them, because they truly were something else.
One of the many reasons Meredith Wild is a top favorite author of mine is because she creates and evokes so much varied, vibrant, and exceptionally crafted emotion and feeling in her writing that you whole heartedly experience. In Hard Love Meredith Wild gave me so many different moments with Blake and Erica that had my heart melting from all the feels and the depth behind them, had my heart racing from the shocking and riveting turn of events, had it squeezing like crazy at all that they went through, and certainly had it filling with the immense level of love and desire and passion being shared between them. While reading this book, I laughed and I cried, I also smiled more times than I could count, while thinking and wondering so much, and through it all I felt.
I felt the immense level of love and trust that Blake and Erica had for one another. I felt what it was like for them to go through everything that came there way. I felt their fierce level of fight and determination they both had to end up exactly where they wanted to be. I felt and experienced it all because Meredith Wild’s magnificent writing allowed me to feel every single amazing word of what I was reading.
Like I said, Hard Love is the perfect conclusion to this series. While reading this book everything just felt very full-circle and extremely meaningful. Erica and Blake’s hard fought journey together culminates in this extraordinary book, and Meredith Wild hit is out of the park with what she gives you from them as their story epically concludes. Through everything that you read you realize how far these characters have come and evolved from where they started, what it is that they share truly offer one another, the immense level of trust they fought to have, and why their love is so worth fighting for with everything that they’ve got. Hard Love is Blake and Erica and their insurmountable love, and it honestly doesn’t get much better than what you get from them in this book.
I could honestly continue on for with so many more words about how much I loved Hard Love (Hacker Series #5) by Meredith Wild, and why this series will remain a favorite of mine forever. The moment I finished this book, in the wee hours of the morning I might add, I cried. Not because I was sad or because I was so exhausted, but because I realized fully in that moment when it was all over, how much I literally got from Blake and Erica. I got them, who they became individually and together, I got all of their fight and the meaning behind everything they did and said and felt, but most of all I got their love. Their breathtakingly beautiful love that shows the amazing things that can really happen when two people take a risk, throw that caution to the wind, and give themselves fully to another person.
Feeling that so completely and meaningfully after reading Hard Love was nothing short of superb to experience, and is one of the many reasons The Hacker Series is one of the best series I’ve ever read. What you get from this fantastic book, these brilliant characters, and this phenomenal series is every positive adjective under the sun rolled into one extraordinary book that I guarantee will leave you fully satisfied, and in literal awe of every wondrous thing that it so fantastically gave you.

It's always hard to say goodbye to characters that have taken you through such an incredible journey. Hard Love by Meredith Wild is the fifth and last book in our beloved Hacker Series. It takes us through the love story of Blake and Erica, two souls that strive to be together against all odds. There were so many moments of clarity for me within this book. Pieces that finally clicked in the master puzzle. Also, the author gave our newlyweds a future to look forward to, even knowing it wasn't going to be be an easy road.
In typical Hacker fashion, the fifth book was also a wild suspense filled with mayhem, intrigue, and plot twists you never saw coming. I love that you don't know what's going to happen, that you have to demolish the book to really figure out each piece. It just shows how gifted Ms. Wild is with her story telling.
If I was asked what my favorite part of the Hacker Series as a whole, aside from the wicked hot love story, and the impressive suspense, it would be the kissing. Meredith Wild writes a kiss scene that puts you in the moment, makes you feel the intensity, the anticipation, and the love within every word. I adore that gift she has.
Overall, Hard Love was a perfect ending to a beautiful love story. At times it was aggravating, wanting to know what happens next, other times it was heart-melting and stunning in it's beauty. It's a series I will reread a year from now and fall in love with all over again.

For the last two years I have watched Blake and Erica's relationship evolve into something phenomenal. The Hacker Series will always be a favorite of mine.
When we first began Erica and Blake's relationship they were both determined to stay in control of their lives. Over time we have seen them triumph at every obstacle thrown their way. You saw two people come together and become a united front. In Hard Love everything they have accomplished will be tested. But what would love be without the ups and downs. Seeing Blake's vulnerability will have you choked up, and finally you will be getting to see a different side of him. He feels everything so strongly. His passion, anger, and angst will grip you. Thank you Meredith for giving us a piece of him.
Erica on the other hand has to fit the puzzle pieces back together in her life. Everything she has endured over the last year has weakened her but she's determined not to be broken. In the final installment we are going to watch Erica and Blake's life unravel, and what the power of love can do. I will miss these characters SO much, but I am looking forward to Meredith's next adventures.
I am secretly hoping that we get some books with some of the other characters we have grown to love.

I was given this ARC for an honest review.....I just finished reading this amazing conclusion to the Hacker Series. Over the last two years we have followed Erica and Blake through their tumultuous and all-consuming love affair. Each with their skeletons and baggage, Erica wearing hers on her sleeve and Blake hiding his behind his arrogant, controlling façade. They met their match, bringing out in each other what they lacked. Erica has become a much stronger personality, willing to defy Blake to help him, while Blake allows his vulnerability to show. Their love can only grow stronger with the passage of time.
It was a refreshing change to read from Blake's point of view. I was able to understand where he was coming from especially when he was at his most vulnerable.
I am sad that this series has reached a conclusion, albeit a sweet one. I will truly miss Erica and Blake and all the other characters I have grown to love and hate. I see great potential in a few character spin-offs but only time will tell!
I can honestly say that this is one of my all-time favorite series by one of my favorite writers and I highly recommend it!!

I received this as an ARC for my honest review...... Meredith has done it again with this book it was a perfect way to end the story of our beloved Erica and Blake. This book had me on a rollercoaster of emotions in every chapter. I mean what can I say without giving it away but WOW . But I will say that I was very happy how things turned out. There was not a dry eye for me. I hate to see this book come to an end but I'm glad it ended the way it did. Well done Meredith well done. I will say that I literally cried right along with Erica throughout most of the chapters. I believe I have cried more in this book then I have in the others.

After taking a month long honeymoon Blake & Erica bond deeper than the scars Erica carries. Once the Landon's are back home Blake finds himself right in the middle of the governor's race controversy with Daniel Erica's father. Blake continues to keep ignoring the several hits he receive towards his and Erica businesses because of the guilt he feels over Cooper's death when they were part of group called M95 as kids. Now his freedom is threaten Blake has given up, however Erica refuses to let him, her one and only love without a fight. This sassy heroine will continue to fight an always finds herself in the middle of chaos but this time its not her its her husband Blake. With their future in the hands of others Erica will do everything to fight for her husband freedom even if it means asking the one man she vowed to never bother again. Blake also finds out that his mentor who he had the most respect for is in right in the center of all of this (which Erica predicated) sacrificed Blake for what he thought was for the better good. Remember blood is thicker than water Blake was just a pawn in a chess game.

I am an emotional wreck right now... in the most crazy, beautiful sense of the word.
It was a treat to start the book off meeting with Professor Quinlan, to have him back in Erica's life.
I love the shifting POV. It makes sense to introduce Blake's POV slowly, as this started out Erica's story and has morphed into their shared journey.
All of the relationships between characters are explored and resolved in this final chapter of the Hacker series.
I am deeply and completely satisfied with how Meredith Wild ends this book. Hard Love hit all the right notes. I don't feel like I am saying goodbye to these characters, rather I am saying "See you later".

I feel like I've been waiting for this book forever, and it still amazes me that it has only been two years since Hardwired was released. Meredith does not disapointed with this amazing conclusion to the Hacker Series!
Blake and Erika have had a difficult journey in the short time they've been together. With everything they've gone thru, one constant has remained - their love. Watching them navigate thru their final trials was nothing short of amazing.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for Hard Love and all I can say is that the book was hot hot hot.This book was nothing short of amazing. It was so worth the wait. Meredith made you laugh, cry, scream, and fall in love. I could not have thought of a better ending for Blake and Erica.I can not wait to read more from this amazing author.

What a perfect ending to this series! I have fallen in love with Blake and Erica all over again. Everything seems to come together so perfectly. Blake is still the hot alpha male who needs control, but is willing to give a little for the woman that he loves. However, he will could have to pay the ultimate price for their love. Erica is a strong woman, who won't stop at any cost to take care of the man that she loves. Even if it means make a deal that could cost her everything. So many things that I want to say, but I don't want to give anything away.
I couldn't wait to read this book. I looked forward to knowing what would happen and where they would end up. I couldn't imagine all the twists in this book. It was beautifully written with emotion that poured off the pages, your heart racing and you won't be able to put this book down. It is a must read and then read the series all over again. Meredith has a way with words that will get your attention within the first few pages and never let it go.

I was fortunate enough this time around to to receive an advanced copy of this book to read and . I could not put it down! Meredith has done it again! I loved the other books in the hacker series, and this was such a perfect ending ending to Blake and Erica's journey! Of course I am am sad to see it end but I am so thrilled with the way it ended! Such a great story and beautifully written. If you haven't read any of the other books in hacker series I suggest that you ! By far my favorite!

First, I received an ARC of Hard Love for an honest review of the book.
And honestly...It was AMAZING!
Meredith gave us a very well written, thrilling, sexy page turner in Hard Love.
The first four books took us through Erica Hathaway and Blake Landon's first meeting,first unbridled encounter and the life the started with each. You got to know them, you got sucked into their ups and downs. You were left shocked and awed. You were blushing and dropping your jaw when you were let into their bedroom and you were at times brought to tears. All of this for an amazing, beautiful and heart tugging ending to this in Hard Love.
Nothing is left hanging in the mist. Anything that happened through all the books was wrapped with a neat little bow and we had closure. (I find that doesn't happened very well in series sometimes)We get to see how everything ends in a great story. I think Hard Love gave us all a chance to say good bye to an addictive book couple.
You have to read this series. You will not be disappointed with any of the books, but I swear you will fall hard for Hard Love!

Am terminat seria! Și mă bucur! Am scăpat!
Cartea a 5 a, din această salată încununează toată această tortură. E și mai plictisitoare și mai de râs decât restul, dacă e posibil asa ceva.
Citeam și râdeam, dar nu că ar fi fost ceva amuzant scris, ci pt toate tampeniile și aberațiile autoarei. Vol este scris din ambele perspective, alternând capitolele, trăirile și așa zisele emoții, iar lipsa lor se simte în felul în care este redată povestea.
Este o serie ce ar fi putut fi concertată într-o singură carte, dacă s-ar fi tăiat lucrurile inutile. Și sunt o grămadă.
Să vă întreb ceva: Știați că Blake e Dumnezeu? Nu știați? Bai, cititi degeaba... zău.
Păi, bai nene când îi zice el Ericai în noaptea nuntii, "în noaptea asta te las gravida", și aia rămâne gravidă, chiar dacă avea sanse minime să se întâmple asta (Că nah, fusese împușcata, nu mai avea un ovar-chestii din astea neimportante, vb aia), n-ai cum să nu crezi că el e fix Dumnezeu. Și-a pogorat asupra ei sfânta măciucă, împreună cu sfântul bici, în noua lor sfânta casa și tadam... a rămas gravidă. Miracol, vă zic eu.
Ce m-a mai făcut să râd?
A, prietena Ally, care în ziua când o pune pe Erica să-și facă testul, îi zice "cum să am poftă de mâncare când tu esti cu burta la gura?" și eu eram ceva de genul... ce? Care burta!? Unde? Nici nu stia dacă e sau nu gravidă. :))))
Apoi, faza cu pușcăria... când Blake suferă în celulă, dar nu pentru că era încarcerat, ci pentru că o lăsase pe Erica singură. :))
Bai, trebuie să recunosc, cred că de invidioasă nu am putut să înțeleg această iubire a lui. "Puteti sa-mi luati orice, banii, afacerea, dar nu pe ea." Bine, mă, Blake. Te cred. Stai jos.
Și faza de final, cu aducerea aminte de când a văzut-o el în sala de sedinte... să știm noi ce a gândit el, iarăși e de râs. Știm cu totii ce a gândit, n-aveam nevoie de un rahat peste epilog. Da na... cine sunt eu sa judec? :))))
N-are rost sa mai scriu nimic, dar vă anunț că nu trebuie să luați de bun ce am zis eu aici. Este subiectiv. Este despre mine și ce am simțit eu, nu e musai să percepeti și voi totul la fel. Poate vă va plăcea. Nu ar fi exclus si asta nu inseamna că sunteti defecti sau că eu sunt defectă.
Eu am luat in ras aceasta serie, pt că e de râs, dar unora poate le va atinge sufletul. Suntem diferiti și simtim diferit (slava cerului).
Acum, ca am încheiat seria... Mă declar martiră. Am supraviețuit acestei capodopere și l-am descoperit pe sfântul Blake, biciuitorul hacker. Amin.

Meredith has written a wonderful book to conclude this fantastic series. This book starts with Blake and Erica on their honeymoon where their love only continues to grow. And it ends with tying up the story lines of those most prominent to the Hacker Series.
From the first book, Hardwired, to this last one, we see a progression of how Blake loves. This book shows how Blake finally sees how he's changed and how because of Erica, he loves with all his heart, body, mind and soul. A previous reviewer mentioned Sophia and they were disappointed in that part of the story. I actually liked it because Blake knows first, how she affects Erica, and second, Sophia is no longer someone he wants in his life. He's matured in his relationship with Erica where he thinks of her first, not his own needs or agenda.
We also see how Erica loves. She knows what's most important to her and focuses all her energies on that. She is very shrewed in this book and is no longer the overly trusting person she was straight out of college. Her experiences both with Blake and the business world all form who she is in this book.
I am sad this is the final book in the series as I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. Blake and Erica have been one of favorite book couples and I am so happy to have discovered them. Meredith is a great writer and I can't wait to see what the future holds for her and her readers. Would I love a follow-up to Hard Love? Absolutely, who wouldn't. :) And Meredith, if you read this, I'm sure your readers would love any bone you throw us with Blake and Erica (even a novella). ;)

If you’re a fan and have read the previous books, you know that Blake and Erica have been put through the wringer but have managed to come out on top. But there are a few more obstacles for them to overcome in Hard Love. Blake is as controlling and domineering as always when it comes to Erica but his love for her is powerful. And Erica is still fiercely strong, protective and as in love with Blake as he is with her.
Meredith Wild did not disappoint with their story and their ending. I would imagine that writing a fifth book in a series is a challenge for any author….keeping the story and characters fresh, interesting and captivating. But Meredith Wild does it in Hard Love. The entire series is a must read!!

Confermo che le serie andrebbero lette tutte d’un fiato perché nel frattempo ci si dimenticano i particolari e se non si ha una memoria eccellente, e non è il mio caso, è estremamente difficile poi rientrare in empatia con i protagonisti e con la storia. Detto questo lo sfondo pieno zeppo di raggiri ed il leitmotiv del grande amore tra l’affascinante Blake e la temeraria Erica mi hanno comunque coinvolta è tenuta incollata alle pagine quindi per me sono 4 stelle.

I've said it before but I'll say it again. I think this series is one of the MOST under appreciated series out there. I can't believe that more people haven't read it. It is one of my all time favorite series. So if you haven't given The Hacker series a try, do it now!

From the moment I picked up this book, I could not put it down. I devoured it in one sitting. Blake and Erica's story drew me in and refused to let go, once again. This was such a bittersweet situation since this is the conclusion of Blake and Erica's story. I wasn't ready for this love affair to end.
Hard Love is suspenseful, sensual and spectacular. The combustible sexual chemistry left me in need of an ice bath and some oxygen, while the emotional twists and turns ruined my manicure. Not that I am complaining, I would gladly beg for another round.
I love Erica and her headstrong nature. She knows how to handle Blake-- when he needs her submission or when he needs her fight. Blake is the perfect alpha male; dominate yet compassionate, protective yet understanding. Their connection is on point, even when it's not. Their love brings out a hope in me, brings me that pre-tears feeling that makes your heart stutter and your lungs gasp for air. The struggles are real, the fear palpable and the love- oh the love- it is inspiring. These magnificent characters show a true form of love, unconditional love. There are no petty fights or jealous outbursts; only love, acceptance of flaws, and growth. And don't even get me started on the "honeymoon lovin'" going on. Man, these two can burn up my kindle screen!

Blake & Erica just had the most beautiful wedding a girl could ever dream of and now they're off to a perfect honeymoon. What an amazing conclusion to this series. So many twists and turns. I was sad when I finished reading Hard Love because it is the last book for Blake and Erica. AWESOME READ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
