About the author

Making the literary world sit up and pay attention, Author LeAndrea Mack began her writing career as a freelance journalist for AXS. She focused on the Essence Festival and the events surrounding that weekend. The relationships she made during that time helped her to successfully sell over 300 of her debut novel SEEING RED a few years later.

In 2019 she was crowned Miss Juneteenth for her work in her own communities of both Kansas City and St Louis, Missouri as well as her philanthropy work in Africa with children’s books she delivered during her visit to Lagos, Nigeria.

She recently has been named a finalist for Best Author of the KC People’s Choice Award and Darron Wheeler Entertainment’s Media Architect.
