Balastar Alder searches the galaxy for mysterious portal making devices to determine their origin and learn their secrets.

Kit Athorika is scrambling to avoid the Torog’s hunting her and retrieve the stash of hidden distorters.

Following the signal of foreign psi to an old abandoned building on Florin 5, Balastar literally stumbles across the pugnacious raven-haired beauty. Not only does Kit have the technology he seeks, but she uses it to port them to safety when the Torog’s attack. Without the help of a single Portal Master.

Balastar offers to repay the favor by getting her off planet and back to her own ship. Their escape is complicated when the Torog’s pursue. Forced to go silent and lay-low in an asteroid field, they have little to do. Fortunately, the chemistry between them quickly becomes combustible and they find endless ways to occupy their time.

Balastar convinces her to come and meet his boss, Lord Cavacent. Recently relocated to Earth, the Sandarian clan included a handful of rogue Portal Masters. Kit has her own reasons for hating and fearing the Portal Masters, but she needs all the help she can get to save her planet. She reluctantly agrees to seek out Lord Cavacent’s help, and his connections to the Galactic Trade Organization and its powerful military.

The Portal Masters’ Guild on Sandaria has controlled intergalactic portals throughout the galaxy for centuries, and jealously guard their secrets. One of those secrets has kept Kit’s home world under quarantine for nearly thirty years. But portals across the galaxy are failing and the guild is getting desperate.

Finding themselves bonded wasn’t expected, but having a psi-mate had its advantages. Can Kit and Balastar free and entire planet and take down the Portal Masters without losing their lives in the process?

Liberation is book three in the Alien Attachments series by Sabine Priestley. This book was generously provided to me in exchange for an honest review by the author.

This book centers on Balastar Alder and Kit Athorika. I am so happy Balastar got his own story. I felt so bad for him when things didn’t work out for him in the earlier book. And boy oh boy will you see another side to the proper gentleman you got to know when you first met him.

hair with colored stripe:

Balastar is in search of more of the black devices that can create portals called spatial distorters. This is how he first met Kit. They were both after the distorters when Torogs came after them. Kit’s first impression of Balastar was pure hotness in his pirate type clothing, and Balastar thought Kit was a dark haired beauty with her colored stripe down one side of her hair that constantly changes colors with her mood. The two of them are forced to lay low for awhile on Balastar’s ship. Hmmm, I wonder what they will do to pass the time. Balastar convinced Kit to come back to Earth with him to talk to the Cavacents about what has been going on with her home planet.

spaceship:

The connection is strong with Balastar and Kit but they are both convinced that it is nothing but chemistry. That they can both go their own way when it’s time and say good-bye. That’s what they thought anyway. But the psi-bond has begun, and when it is time to say good-bye, being away from each other does not work out…at all.

bonded with love

Things on the planet Sandaria are rapidly falling apart. The leader of the portal masters is gaining an appetite for power and hatches a crazy plan to take all the power for himself. He is kidnapping the Vertans from their own planet to create and maintain the portals. Balastar, Kit, the Cavacents, and the other earth protectors have to find a way to stop the madness, free the Vertans, stop the power hungry portal masters and restore leadership on Sandaria. During all of this, Kit and Balastar are exploring their new bond and let me tell you, these two are hot!

Kit and Balastar’s travels take them all over the place in the galaxy in their fight to free the Vertans and to save Sandaria and the portals. When Balastar took Kit to Earth and she met Ria and Dani, she found something she had been missing for a long time, friendship. It’s something she hasn’t been able to experience for so long with her own planet being in such turmoil. I really enjoyed getting to see more of all my favorite characters from the previous two books.

solar system:

This book is a crazy, sexy, nonstop ride from the beginning to the end as this group once again puts themselves in danger to do the right thing, to free the Vertans and restore order on Sandaria. There are no slow spots in this book, it kept me turning the pages all the way through. I have really enjoyed getting to know all the characters I have met throughout these books but I think Balastar and Kit might be my favorite. I have loved this series from the start and highly recommend it.

This series gets better and better. This is my favourite book in the series to date. Liberation kicks it up a notch with great characters, questions answered and more questions asked! I love it. Balastar Alder is featured in this book. He is not second string to anyone. He previously minored in the first book as a possible mate with Dani. Balastar is the prototype white knight who does everything perfectly. He doesn't have a syndrome to save the damsel in distress. He is the hero who can save the damsel. To think he could ever play second fiddle is just crazy talk.

Balastar's leading lady is Kit Athorika from the mysterious planet with psi different than generally known. Kit is a perfect match to Balastar. Kit is spunky, all heart and just all around love-able. These two characters are appealing and I really liked them. I rooted for them and their sexual chemistry is hawt. The sex in this story is nicely erotic and yet it is the plot of this story which really captures my attention and makes me stay up until the wee hours reading it.

The mysteries of the Portal Masters are revealed and we finally learn more about the Kit's people. For those who enjoyed Morgan Hawke's Interstellar series, this third book contains similar plot elements just without the kink. Kit and Balastar are well matched as they work to free her people. The story is fast paced with the right amount of action interspersed with sexy time. The showdown with the Portal Masters is what really becomes interesting. It opens this world up to more world building which I hope Ms. Priestley will continue. I am intrigued by the new entity, Orion.

I can see the growth in Ms. Priestley's writing with each subsequent book. The characters are better developed and the plot is tighter. The character dialogue is fluid. The read is smoother as the pace flows up and down in an easy cadence to enspell a reader. The imagery in this story is animated and easy to visualize. The hook at the end of the book is well done. Recommended for space opera readers who enjoy feisty females with a sexy heart-breaker hero.

In her 3rd book of this series, Sabine Priestley's writing has become bigger, bolder and better! I was given the privilege of reading an ARC of this book and thought it was a great ending to the series. Or is it? Sabine has created such an extensive world with rich characters that I believe the series is limitless. I've mentioned before in other book reviews that the massiveness of her world-building is astounding.

I was thrilled to see Balastar receive his HEA as he was/is a favorite character of mine in Book 1. Sabine gave him the right balance of hero, gentlemen, toughness and hotness to make him a well-balanced character. Kit was a perfect example of an "opposites attract" love interest. Her grit along with a bit of uncertainty to her worthiness made her endearing.

This book started out hot, with continued action throughout. It's fun to read a romance in which the characters get together quickly and make no mistake that they like/lust after each other. Some of the sex scenes had me blushing like a teenager. They are not for the prudish at heart.

I admire Sabine's ability to write a sci-fi tech-savvy story, with genuine dialogue, well-developed characters and hot, steamy sex scenes. You don't find that combination too often.

Can't wait to see what's up next for this author.

Balastar has been traveling the galaxy after his heartbreak with Dani. He never thought he’d find his psi-mate in woman that he did. Kit is from a planet that has been hidden from the world, Vertan. All the answers Balastar and his group of friends have been searching for are found with Kit. Its a wild ride for these two as they try to process being psi-mates and handle all the dangers that are coming at them. There are people that will stop at nothing to get their hands on Kit, Dani, and Ian. The 3rd book in this series will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat, and flipping the pages as fast as you can.

*This is one series you will want to check out. The author introduces us to so many vivid planets and different animals and ways of life that you feel like you are apart of it. It is a beautiful world and one I am thankful I got to be apart! Make sure you grab up a copy of this series! You won’t be disappointed.*

I tumbled headlong back into the world of Alien Attachments with this new book in the series. This story pits Kit Durnar with Baluster Alder and sends them on a quest to free her people, the Vertans, from the quarantine placed on the planet by the Portal Masters, and enforced by the Totogs. That they find love along the way is icing on top of a very adventurous cake.
The descriptions of the world, the action sequences and the love scenes are all done with remarkable attention to detail. The opening will grip you and hold you through the entire book.
This is the third book in the series, and can be read as a standalone. But you will most definitely want to read the earlier books.

A fast paced thrill ride putting answers to the series’ arc. I couldn’t put it down.

Things have gotten just a bit hot for Kit on Florin 5. The granddaughter of one of her planet Vertan’s space pioneers, Kit lives a duplicitous life of smuggler and space captain. For thirty years her planet has been held in quarantine by the unscrupulous Portal Master’s Guild. It’s Kit’s job to help her people escape the quarantine and colonize other planets. She isn’t everyone’s favorite person on her planet. Heck, she is quite the rebel and very outspoken. Still she does what she can in their fight against the Torogs and the Guild. As a result, she is on their most wanted list and they’re on her tail. She’d of been captured many times over if it weren’t for the distorters created by her people. The small device allows her to portal from one distorter to another, something the Portal Masters will do anything to keep hidden as they have a monopoly on portal travel in the galaxy and mean to keep it that way.

Lord Balastar until recently was a councilman for the empire. Now the old empire is defunct and Balastar has taken up space trade. He’s also closely associated with the Cavacent clan who act as Earth’s protectors. The recent overthrowing of the old empire also resulted in the defection of quite a few of the portal masters that are now residing on Earth and the discovery of others in the galaxy with a very different type of psi. This very different psi combined with the discovery of the portal devices known as distorters has set Balastar on a mission to find more of the devices and their origins. It’s that very different psi that draws him to Kit’s location on Florin 5 and just in time as luck would have it. A quick jump and the two of them are introducing themselves and coming to terms on getting off the planet.

With the Torogs on their tails it becomes advantageous to go silent and hideout in an asteroid belt for a time. Leaves a bit of time with nothing to do but indulge their very strong attraction for the other. Even when these two finally come out of hiding it’s one dangerous situation to the next. Not only is Kit’s planet at stake but the very integral portals that tie the galaxy together. It’s all on Kit and Balastar to save the day. What the two didn’t see coming was the bonding of not only their bodies but their very hearts, souls and psi. While every preconceived notion that bonding is instantaneous is blown out the airlock these two soon come to realize just how much they love and need each other.

Liberation is a fast paced thrill ride putting answers to the series’ arc. I couldn’t put it down. If you like your loving in the stars along the slipstream with a bit of danger and intrigue you’re going to enjoy Liberation and the Alien Attachments series. It looks like there is one final short story available after this one so I’m looking forward to reading Alien Bond. I sure hope Ms. Priestley continues writing sci-fi romance because I certainly enjoy them.

I was provided a copy of Liberation in exchanges for an honest review for a blog tour. Of the three books in the Alien Attachment series, Liberation was the one I favored the least. It went into the more technical side of the portal jumps and how they work. I am not a technical person; I don’t know how my car works other than I put gas in it. So when Sabine started explaining some science fiction technology, she lost me.

Liberation is the continuing saga of what started in Alien Attachments Book #1. This story centers around Balaster, whom we met in book one, and Kit. This book should be read in order of the series in order to understand the entire workings of the backstory; what’s going on with Portal Master Guild, and all of the political maneuvering. Not to mention, how dirty they are. IT’S A CRAZY!

I really liked Balaster from the first time he was introduced in book one, and I am glad he was able to get a psi-mate. Though he and Kit’s mating didn’t go as the other two; I am glad it worked out for him. At first, Sabine had me worried that he and Kit weren’t going to Bond. As unconventional as the “3 way psi mating” was, it worked out for Balaster and Kit and they are perfect for each other. Yeah, 3 way; I’m still not wrapping my mind around that one!

Liberation, like the other two novels was fast paced and full of thrills and much political intrigue, with a clear set of bad guys that you just want to destroy. There is one more novella out that I am going to read; Alien Bond, and as of that point, I will be caught up with the series. I really hope Sabine Priestly continues with it, because it is one I have thoroughly enjoyed! As for Liberation, I am giving it 3.5 Boundless stars it was really good and I enjoyed it....Sara

It is to my understanding that the author did a great job on these three books, especially with the details and emotions. I found my selfless liking this book more than the other two. I just loved Kit. There is nothing I can think of that would do this book justice.

Yes, I found multiple POVs again. But I still loved the book. OH one can never go wrong with me when aliens are in the mix.

Sorry, this review is shorter than most. I adored this book, hints the 5 stars.

Reading the first two books in the Alien Attachments series, I had to dive into Liberation. I loved getting to know Balastar more in depth, being introduced to new characters & places, and visiting old friends. Sabine's way with words kept me intrigued, all of the detail helped me feel like I was truly there, & the suspense kept me interested. I can't wait to start book four, & hope to see more of Marco & Armond (who've both played roles in all three books so far).

Different and interesting

Great series new worlds, all kinds of aliens. Suspense and plenty of portals to everywhere. Multiple villains to dislike. And happy endings.
