The Love Mints
Maddie and Lori unearth a time capsule with a surprising and magical candy mint inside that makes a boy fall in love with the first girl he sees. Lori gives a mint to Nick. It works! He falls in love with her. The girls plot on how to get Trevor to eat a mint too. But he won't take one. They are down to their final piece when it gets moldy. What are they going to do?

Too many of America's veterans have never had the means or opportunity to visit their monuments in Washington, DC. Nor did many of them, particularly from the Vietnam era, get the homecoming they deserved.
The Honor Flight program, begun by volunteers in 2005 on the most modest of scales, changed all of that. Today, the Honor Flight Network is massive, and has flown more than 300,000 vets on free trips to DC, each of them accompanied by a volunteer (and paying) Guardian.
I was a Guardian on such a flight in April, 2023. This book is about this remarkable effort, told first person in the voice of an unnamed veteran. That I could reunite for it with Matt Tavares, the illustrator of our TWENTY-ONE STEPS: GUARDING THE TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER (Candlewick, 2021). Well, as the last line of the book says, "It was an honor."

This book had amazing plot setting what like the "love mints", this book talk about two girls Lori and Maddie find the love mints, then use it to wooing the boys they like, in the end it have a good ending. Maddie haven't chance to give the love mints but Trevor actually like her, they become to the lovers. The ending tell us a real truth, you can't use anything other trick to get love, you need to pay out, to real love a person, he/she will pay love back to you too. I like this book because, the book use lots of linguistic description to make the traits of character. Though it is unrealistic, make me feel this story is real.

The characters Lori and Maddie unearth a time capsule containing a surprisingly magical mint candy that makes a boy fall in love with the first girl he sees. Lori made mints for Nick. it works! He fell in love with her. If it does happen, then many people are happy about it.

this was a good book but I got so confused in some lines but over all it is a great book

This was cute, but nothing about the story really resolves. We have the questions of who left the time capsule and where the love mints came from, but they are abruptly dropped without answers. I don't really get it.
