This book is about kids in high school. There is a kid named Marco Lane, he is mean to everyone and then when he gets in trouble he makes it look like the other kids are being mean to him. The book is about how friends should stick together and help each other out.

Jaris Span, he is the person who narrates the story and is the main character. He tries to be a good friend and help everyone out. There is Markco Lane, he is the bully in the story. He gets hurt and blames everyone in the school. Victoria, is Jaris's bestfriends girlfriend that got him in trouble once before so Jaris is worried that they are back together.

It takes place in a high school in a rural city in the 1990's. The school is big and has a lot of students which means a lot of drama takes place. The city is big and has homeless people which play an important role in the story.

I recommend this book to high school and middle school kids because this will show them what types of things can go on in a big school and city.
