It was a little drab. But also a little interesting because it was an English novel, with all their wonky euphemisms. The plot was a bit convoluted. And I’m sorry but there were just too many coincidences.
The plot had too many coincidences. The characters did not know each other, except for Magnus and Kate, so I don’t believe they would be committed as they were. The evil lurked until it grabbed Kate and assaulted her in an abandoned house for a week!! Horrible!!!
Doctor Magnus Lennox is very protective of his younger sister Kate after the suspicious death of his father, step-mother and step-sister Kate were killed in a car accident in Ecuador. When two sisters find a body in the canal they think the Mafia have moved into their neighborhood. Kate gets a new job with a travel agency to prove she can support herself. Magnus makes a sudden trip to Ecuador because he doesn't believe his Father would be speeding since he drove slowly all the time. Magnus arrives home to find Kate has been kidnapped. Good crime fiction!
