Snipers are probably some of the most mysterious figures in modern military culture.Many movies have been made about snipers and operations they have been involved in.However, most people do not know much about the world of shadows of the modern military sniper.
For some, the image of a sniper evokes some disturbing imagery – a stealth gunman, undetectable, and ready to fire anytime. For others, snipers are “cowards” lurking under covers, staying still in their hiding spots, waiting for the perfect moment to strike at their target. But there are also people who believe that snipers are highly-trained soldiers who perfectly knows when and when not to pull that trigger.
In this book, I want to show the reader what it takes to become a sniper and also what an important role they play in militaries across the world.
