Is the love of a bad man as fulfilling as that of a good man—if he’s good to you?

The fantasy for most women is the happily ever after, the white knight or the prince charming. Or maybe they imagine the hero swoops in to save them from their mundane existence. But what happens if you catch the attention of the villain instead? Tiffany aka Karma is about to find out…

Karma isn’t just a name; it’s a way of life for an exotic dancer with a taste for vigilante justice. She should have been more careful though, because her deeds haven’t gone completely unnoticed. A man who isn’t quite human, with the predilection for destruction, has set his sights on her. His brand of love is tainted…twisted, and Karma is powerless to resist.

I really don't want to do this. I can only imagine how much blood, sweat and tears are involved when writing a full length novel, that's why I hate giving bad reviews. I particularly hate that, since this book hasn't received many ratings so far, mine will affect the overall rating considerably.
But my honest opinion is being expected, so here goes.

This book didn't work for me at all.
From the first page, hell, probably the first sentence, I disliked the heroine. And that had nothing to do with her profession as a stripper. I hated her voice, her actions, her manipulative ways, her strange lusting after two men she'd just met. Her constant horndog behavior was eye-roll inducing.
Oh, hey Officer! What? You're telling me I'd been missing for two days without me noticing it or having any memory of it? Oh well, whatever. You're hot. I'm naked. Wanna fuck?
Hi there again, Officer! I've just seen the devil murder an old lady, I am traumatized and will probably be the prime suspect. Man, is it getting hot in here? I really need you to fuck me now. Take me home with you? *seductively fluttering my eyelashes*
Whoa, Lucian. You've literally just told me that you killed my ex-boyfriend and soul-mate, but God, I'm hot for you. Fuck me!

The 'hero', if you can call him that, was nothing short of a creepy, obsessed stalker. Nothing remotely intriguing about him. I usually love anti-heroes, and I don't need fluffy. But I just couldn't see how I was supposed to be rooting for Lucian at all. He just made my skin crawl.
Jakob was alright, I guess, but he was a pretty bland character, and not important enough to get invested in anyway.

The story felt rushed and still bored me. I'll admit, I skimmed. A lot. Especially the first half of the book was rather grating for me. After the 50% mark, it got a little better. Less lusting and dancing, more mystery. But it was rather repetitive and for long stretches, I felt like nothing really happened, and I kept sneaking glances at the percent bar at the bottom of my Kindle.
I'm afraid I probably wouldn't have finished this book if it hadn't been an ARC.

I didn't hate this book, hence not a 1 star rating. I just didn't like it. The writing was alright and the idea was promising, but it just turned out to be not my cuppa. I do appreciate the author's effort, though.
So, 2 stars it is.

*2.5 stars* Great plot, horrible execution. Horny heroine on the loose! Review to come.

I was really looking forward to reading this one. I was all set for a seductive PNR, but what I got instead was a whole lot of horny stripper and an anti-heroic stalker. Don’t get me wrong, the story isn’t all bad, but this is one of those books that I can do without. I never felt all that connected to the characters, and the pacing started out fast – too fast. I was hell bent on finding out what the connection and history was between Karma and Lucian. So much so, that it took me 2 weeks to read the book. There are definitely some moments that will make you not want to put it down. But, then the pacing would slow, and lots of inconsequential things are thrown in to drag the story out. I wish more time was spent on fully developing the characters, and not on the not-so-funny dialogue that was used to fill this story out.

This story really blew my mind! At first I’m like “what in the hell is this and what the hell is going on” but then I was just sucked into this story and these characters!! After reflecting on it, and getting all the pieces of my mind put back into my head again, I really enjoyed it! My emotions were all over the place with this novel and the characters and scenes really take you on a roller coaster ride of highs and lows.

Karma aka Tiffany is a vigilante on a mission. With a special ability to see which people are the scum of the earth, she is helpless against the need to rid the world of these lowlifes. But throughout her time in the seedy underbelly of cities, secretly killing and torturing, she has been watched. Finally meeting her stalker proves to be almost more than Karma can handle with her dizzying flashbacks getting more and more frequent. Can she escape his twisted love before he makes the world fall at its feet? Or will she finally give in to a love that was written oh so long ago? Karma was a super interesting character and there was such a push and pull between what she wanted to do and what she thought was the right thing to do.

Lucian has waited life times for Karma to come back to him and this time he isn’t going to give her up without a fight. By steering her life this way and that, he put her on a path that is not so wholesome nor one she would have chosen for herself. Even though outside forces are trying to take away what has truly driven him, for his entire existence, he will do any and everything to have Karma finally choose him. Whether it’s tricking, killing, abducting, mind fucking or just plain fucking, he is going to have her love.

This story was one that I wasn’t anticipating but it really tore me apart and then built me back up again by the end! I really loved the ending and how everything seemingly worked out and the possible explanation for why everything happened the way that it happened. In the end this is such a fantastical love story and one that I won’t stop thinking about for a long time! If you are in the mood for a fucked up love story that keeps the punches rolling then come fall into their story of Cado!!!!!

**I would like to thank Netgalley, Tik Tok Press and the author D.T. Dyllin for a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion**

Karma aka Tiffany strips to make a living but is a vigilante on the side. She has an ability where she can see what evil the people she touches has done. She fits the punishment to the crime the person has done. She's not afraid to kill.

While she's working, she sees a guy who interest her but he mysteriously disappears. We learn his name is Lucian. He starts showing up out of nowhere, messing with Tiffany. She finds him intriguing but she also doesn't understand him, finding him a bit scary. Through out the book we learn more about Tiffany's past and who Lucian is and what he really wants.

Usually I read books about innocent girls, but Tiffany knows what she wants she's not shy, she's confident with herself, its different. We see why she does what she does. She wasn't always a killer with good intentions, she had a life, a miserable one but she had no choice where she lived, she was just a kid. Her life in foster care changed her. There were things that made me go "girl, really". Tiffany felt something for Lucian, she didn't know why. She saw what he was doing and what he's done and she still found him hot. Yeah I guess he was basically doing the same thing she was but still she didn't know who he was and she was all up on him.

I thought Lucian was creepy and starkerish. He would come out of nowhere freak Tiffany out, harass her, I'm sure she liked it, and then he would disappear. But once we get to hear about his past, that's when i start liking the guy. He was once good and something else. But he changed when he learned to love. I found that part of his life cute. Then he just became obsessed, i mean its understandable why he did some things cus it was for love. Love makes you do crazy things, you might just go crazy and evil. I guess I'm 50/50 on him. His just one of those characters that's hard to like and hard to hate.

I feel bad about Moretti , he didn't even have a chance. At first he resisted any and how Tiffany threw herself at him with her words and body but he's a guy and he gave in. I think he was a good guy. But what happened to him sucked.

I think the ending was cute, I liked that this book had a paranormal side and some twists. I like reading books that have this type of paranormal, the characters always have a good background story to tell, I always enjoy them. I enjoyed reading Cado. Great book. :-)

I wasn't ready for this. I was left speechless for two days after reading this book. D.T. Dyllin has put the bar even higher for her books.

To say that Cado is a touching story would be too simple. This one is a powerful, vibrant and sexy story. It has all the elements to become one of your favorites of all times. It was an exhausting reading and not in a bad way. The level of emotions and feelings running through the pages is overwhelming.

Cado is the story of Karma, whose real name is Tiffany, an exotic dancer who likes to take justice by her own hands. A special and odd ability allows her to see the bad side of people (mostly men) and she uses it to choose who to punish. It all changes when a mysterious man appears on her life and things get out of control.

I can't say much about the plot because anything would be a spoiler. There are shocking revelations and some are more disturbing than others. I think the author created a solid background, thought of every detail to end up with a solid story.

Karma has some of the traits we find in every female character created by Dara but somehow she is totally different. She is stronger than most of us and some of the choices she had to make required an amount of willpower I'm sure most of us don't have. She is extraordinary and I loved every part of her. I will only say that the main male character was AMAZING!

I'm so glad the blurb didn't give anything away and I jumped right in into the unknown only to find a story that affected me and touched me in a way that no many books can. Like I said the emotions felt too real, the author has a gift with words, there is no deny that and this time she did a great job. I could feel everything and despite being draining I loved every minute of it.

Ok, I just don't even know where to begin here. I feel like I have to pull all my sticky notes together before I can even start to write this review!
Let me tell you what I liked about the book. I was really drawn to the premise of the novel and I have to give big kudos to the author for going out on a limb and writing a story with an original idea! Cado is one of those books I think you will either love or hate. A vigilante stripper?! Wow! I think the writing overall was good and the characters themselves were multidimensional.
The only thing that really bothered me about the book was the heroines horn dog type personality. She seems to want to be f***ed by every guy she comes across. ( seems that way) Also she really got on my nerves. I really had to roll my eyes and sighed out loud several times because of the stupid thoughts she seemed to possess.
I know it has to take a lot of blood sweat and tears to put together a full length novel and then to put yourself on the line out there for the judgement of many types of readers is a very brave thing so I never want to say anything negative about a book. But honesty was expected here so honesty was given.
Even though the book fell a little short for me, I'm sure some will love it. It just wasn't my cup of tea.

I have absolutely no idea where to start with this review. Mostly because everything I want to say starts with a spoiler and since this review is based on a beta read I don't want to let slip specifics just incase they change..

I liked Tiffany, sure she had that murderous vigilante side to her, but she was strong and stuck up for those who couldn't do it themselves. Then she meets Lucian and her world gets turned upside down. We all say we cant resist the bad boy and for Tiffany it was no different.

Dyllin has given us a book that shows the warts and all nature of the main characters but does it in such a way that we still find that part of them that we like. That we want to find out more about their story, not just where they've been but where they've headed. This had me hooked and turning the pages from the very beginning.

Tiffany aka "Karma" is a vigilante stripper. She gets visions of a person's true nature and uses being a stripper to get close to them and get rid of them. One night she meets Lucian, an extremely hot mystery of a man. Everytime he's around, something bad happens. Who is he and why is she so drawn to him.
I was sucked into the mystery and suspense right away. I was really enjoying the book until it started jumping around. It pulled together in the end. The characters were deep and very easy to get attached to. One minute I like Lucian and the next I'm hoping Tiffany gets away from him. I was kept guessing at every turn.
The writing was great and it was mainly told in Karma's perspective. This book can be read as a standalone.

Kudos for thinking outside the box. I was not expecting it to be about what it turned out to be. It was well plotted and rationalized. Karma was in no way a good girl heroine we are used to expecting and Lucian is in a league of his own. It's a very unique and curious book that you'd favor yourself by reading.
