Miss Belle Saunders feels trapped in a life of servitude as Mistress of Saint Anne's orphanage. Her selfish boss, Mr. Graynger hasn't given her a day off in over a decade. In desperate need of a change of scenery, Belle decides it's time to visit two girls previously under her care – Charlotte and Beth, recently married and settled in Conrad, Montana.
On arriving in Conrad, it isn't long before she offers a helping hand and find herself in the middle of another domestic disaster – Doc Lawson's unkempt house and his six feisty children, including his mute five-year-old daughter, Sophie.
Meanwhile, overwhelmed widower Doc Lawson is eagerly awaiting news of his mail order bride. And nothing short of a miracle will help him find the perfect carer for his children — and just as importantly, his future bride.
In Spring Belle, the final book in the Seasons series, you will find reunions & romance, family & fun, and even puppies & payback.

Nice ending to the Seasons Mail Order Brides series. I was looking for a quick, easy read, and I found it. I can also add the word enjoyable.
This is not a deep plot or complicated story line. The intent of mail order marriages was for men to correspond with eligible women, decide to meet and marry. And yes, sometimes women advertised for husbands. All of this was long before online and speed-date matchmaking.
We met both widower Doc Lawson and spinster Belle Saunders in the first book, Charlotte's Summer. They also make cameo appearances in Falling for Beth (#2) and Alice in Winterland (#3). But now they meet one another when Belle comes to visit Charlotte and Beth. They are two of her former orphan charges, both became mail order brides. Doc is actively looking for a mail order bride to become his wife (and mother to his six children). Belle is looking for peace. They find what they need in one another. Oh, and although she's perfect for him, she doesn't know about his search for a wife. Online, that would merit an "it's complicated" badge.
I like Annie Lane's ability to create believable people out of her characters. Some you like, and some are not as pleasant. Little sentences here and there give thought to possible future conflicts for a few of the children, especially Junior Mason (coming up in the new series).
I recommend the series. It's sweet, engaging, mildly dramatic, and humorous.
This series has been refreshing. The author brings to life the beauty of Montana with a concise way of writing. By no means is it too abrupt. She conveys the thoughts of each character with grace and laughter. Well done! One thing I wanted them to last longer. Read the whole series in one day. BEL
This was a fabulous ending to the series. The last book was not a mail order bride but was just as good. All the books in this series were well-written. I could not put them down and in fact read all four books in the series in one night.
I really enjoyed this book, seeing Miss Belle get her HEA! I have enjoyed this series more than I thought I would. I look forward to reading the next set of books!
Sweet book about Mistress Belle who ran the orphanage Charlotte and Beth grew up in. Desperately needing a break she comes to Conner to spend time with her two friends and ends up with a family.
I'd read the other three previous books in this series, and by the time I got to this final one, I was tired of the predictable plots, as well as some of the "cute" western verbal expressions. I do love the fact that this genre has been cleaned up so well by this author. Only allusions to sex, and even then, it's after marriage. These books are definitely romantic, naive, clean, and happy-ending-ed.
