Looking back, there are five things I would have done differently.
One – I would’ve tried shielding Miles from the ugliness of the mirror. Two – I would’ve listened to the warnings that despite the evil I’ve already met, worse was coming. Three – I would’ve recognized that while I was trying to keep everyone in the light, darkness crept into the hidden corners of myself I never knew existed. Four – I wouldn’t have so willingly trusted others just because they are family. Five – Most importantly, I would have shielded my heart before it turned black.
“But with you, I get to live my life, not watch it pass by.”
This book is quite mind blowing. It starts out slower and light hearted, but picks up halfway through with so much happening that I think the book was actually glued to my hands. I couldn’t let it go.
There is danger, so much intrigue, romance, family, heart break, secrets to uncover, and a storyline that is pretty ingenious!
This book ends on a major cliffhanger so I jumped into book 3 immediately! Can’t wait to see what happens to Miles and Grace in the grand finale!!! I love them!
Read for: 🪞YA time travel romance 🪞Miles and Grace are the best 🪞Heart pounding suspense 🪞shocking revelations 🪞unpredictable storyline . . . Content: death, dangerous situations, kissing only
I liked the first one a little better but still loved this one. I love the main characters. I also love this author. She has me laughing out loud. I already started the third book and am excited to see how it ends!
I LOVED mirror and was soo excited for Time. I was excited to see what adventures awaited miles and grace in the future. Unfortunately for me it was not as exciting as I had hoped. The first half of the book was really slow for me. I still love the story and the characters but I think it lost some of its charm because we were no longer in the regency time period. I am still anxiously awaiting book 3 and am excited to see these two through to the end.
This trilogy is so captivating! I didn't love this book as much as the first but that is typical with a trilogy - the middle book is the one with lots of challenges and pitfalls. There were also a few times I had to stop and work out exactly what happened and when with all the time travel/alternate realities. But I was engrossed in the book from first page to last - so much mystery, intrigue, and romance. I am so glad I had the next book on hand because I simply HAD to know how the story ends for Miles and Grace. 4.5 stars - highly, highly recommend you pick up this series!
4.5 stars, this series is definitely full of twists and turns I can never predict what will happen. I love Miles. He is a fabulous hero and I love the connection he and Grace share. This book was so hard to put down as it totally pulled me in and I wanted nothing more than to keep reading. There are a few tiny (petty) discrepancies in the book, but no plot holes. Overall, a very enjoyable read and I cannot wait to devour book three. Highly recommend for the swoony romance and engaging storyline. This is a clean read.
I had a break between books 1 & 2, enough that I had a hard time remembering certain things. Book #2 didn't give enough background to help with my lack of memory so I felt lost for quite a while. I even used Goodreads and other reviews for help, kind of like Cliff Notes.
The book picked up near the end (or maybe my memory caught up), but now I'm interested in #3. It's getting pretty confusing though, isn't it?
Not my favorite book in the series. The first part of this book dragged. I contemplated not finishing the series. However, I'm glad I stuck around. The book got better.
I read Mirror in one sitting. I stayed up too late to finish. I thought the second book wouldn't be as good because I loved Mirror so much.
I won a giveaway that Janessa Burt was doing so I got a copy of Time first thing YESTERDAY morning. Yes, I have already finished it. Yes, I devoured it in hours. Yes, I only got 5 hours of sleep. I absolutely loved it.
I loved reading about Miles coming to today. I really could have read chapters and chapters about him seeing things for the first time. The wedding was fun to read about. And that swimming scene? Made me LOL!
The first book was all regency with a little hint of time travel. This book is all time travel with a little hint of regency. The direction this book went was WAY different than I thought it would go which happened with Mirror also. I love that it wasn't predictable, that with every page I was learning something new. Those journals entries? I cried. And I definitely wasn't expecting what happens between Grace and Miles at the end. I was so sad for them but also so excited to find out what happens!!! The new characters? Loved them. The new bad characters? Loved to hate them. Except for one who I really do hate.
And that ending??!?? I scared my husband half to death when I realized the book was over. I kept flipping back and forth that last page hoping somehow it would keep going. I then had to come to the knowledge that I'll have to wait another few months to find out what happens. I happily passed the book along to my teenage daughter who I think snuck it in her backpack to take to school.
I'm thrilled the tone and quality from Mirror were visible in Time. I hate when I get invested in a story and have to make myself finish the series because the other books can't hold up to the first. I don't think I'll have a problem with this one.
I didn't think I'd like time as much as I liked mirror, but I actually liked it MORE!! And that's saying something since I read mirror twice and have recommended it to anyone that would listen.
I loved the plot twists, the new characters, the character development in Grace, and the ending!! What the WHAT??!?? I'm dyyyyyyying for the third book!
I was glad Grace kept growing throughout the second book. And I really liked how the author dove into the darker side of her. I felt like this book wasn't about Grace battling good and evil, but really she was battling it inside of her. I'm looking forward to finding out how this side of her is going to work with Chris because he's interesting.
The story of how the stone came to be was fascinating. I read it three times and now have my fingers crossed Janessa will write a short story or spin off to tell that story.
Those three months between mirror and time were torture. The months from now until december are going to be brutal. I'm loving this series!
I read "Mirror" after seeing it mentioned on a post from Six Sisters. I saw it listed as a YA book and thought it might be something my 7th grade students might like, so I figured I'd see if it was worth adding to my classroom bookshelf. The premise of time traveling through a mirror wasn't exactly something I was sure I'd enjoy, but I quickly found myself enjoying the characters and the story (more complex than I thought it would be). I flew through "Mirror" and immediately downloaded "Time." I finished "Time" in about 48 hours. Although I was not in tears with the second book like I was with the first, "Time" answered a lot of questions I formed while reading "Mirror." There's not as many intense romantic moments as "Mirror." In fact, the first 25% of the book dragged for me because it was setting things up for the rest of the novel. I am excited that a third novel is set to be published in February 2016 entitled "Home" and I look forward to reading it. Hopefully Grace and Miles (and their families) get the happiness they deserve!
The first third of this book is a little boring, I must admit. The happy-go-lucky relationship between Miles and Grace gets really old really fast. But trust me when I say stick around... Although there are some time travel inconsistencies I wish I had answers for, the plot ramps up and leaves you wanting more at the end!

4 stars because I love the story and want it to keep going. But I'm disappointed in this one compared to the first. I wasn't as happy with the plot and development. Too many characters, changes and details and it didn't seem real (well as real as it could be for this type of book). And the time travel aspect got confusing. I am hoping there is only one more book, I like trilogies.
2.5 stars. I really really wanted to like this book. I loved the first one and was really excited for this one. It started off strong, but I felt it started to drag w not a lot happening, and then I really didn't like the ending. I will read the third and hope it somehow pulls the series through to my liking.
This is a 3.8 stars book for me. The first 1/2 was a 3, the second 1/2 was a 4. I liked the twists and turns that are happening. I love the characters and am excited to read the 3rd. Good clean book. I'm excited to read the 3rd.
My only complaint is that the 3rd book isn't out yet so I have to wait for the final chapter to this love story that spans time and space. It was well written and the story draws you in.
When I started this I thought fir sure I wouldn't like it as well as the first. But as I kept reading I just loved where she took the story! Will definitely be reading the third book in the series.
