Cormac

Rate this book
Ballerina Siobhan O'Mara has been in love with her brother's best friend for as long as she remembers, but Cormac has always treated her like a kid sister. When they're unexpectedly involved in a drive-by shooting, almost losing her snaps his carefully regulated control. Having her is more important than shielding her from the truth about his role in the Irish mafia, and he claims the woman he needs.

This is a standalone story, but “Cormac” features Shane’s sister, shares plot elements with, and enhances the world of “Shane.” This fits between Chapters Twelve and Thirteen if read as part of that novel.

This is a very short story that should be read after Shane. This story is about Shane's best friend, Cormac the man who saved Shane when he was a teenager. Shane's younger sister Siobhan is a ballerina who has suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis since she was a little girl. Shane & Cormac both think she doesn't know anything about their business & what they really do for a living but in fact she does. Cormac & Siobhan have both loved each other for a while but neither has acted on it until she gets shot by a drive by shooter. Cormac realizes life is too short & he doesn't want to spend another minute without her in his bed.

I read this as a bonus in Shane & was surprised that it was sold as a stand alone novel even though it consisted less than 5 chapters. For me it was just ok because it was just too short. There was no real storyline as the story picked up from when Shane was shot in the previous book & how the h & H got to become lovers. That just sums up the story....no drama at all. What a shame because I think if their story was expanded, it would probably be promising.

This is a novella that should be read after chapter 12 in Shane. I enjoyed the story, but want more of Cormac and Siobhan's story. Novella was written well to fit with reading Shane and adds a little to that story (I have only read Shane up to chapter 13 and plan I finishing after this review). You wont be disappointed in these books!

Short and sweet

You must read Shane to understand these characters and their background. My biggest complaint is it wasn't long enough and I'm hoping for more about their future in the next book

Yes, this story should be read after Shane, as it picks up from that ending. This book was super fast compared to the other 3. I think Cormac got gipped. His book was about a 30 min read while the others were 3+ hours.
