The adventure continues with Capitan Nick! Becker puts you at the helm of a pirate ship and takes you on an adventure in the blue waters of the Caribbean.
While I found the first book a bit patchy, it was good enough to bring me to the sequel. This seemed better written and moved well, with a nice tight plotline. I'm downloading the next book as I write. The premise is believable, characters are intersting and the places accurately described. Looking flowed to the next segment of this adventure!
Good fun. It closes out a bit quickly at the end but I think Becker was ready to get institute rest of the story. I hope. Anyway, a good sailing story and the beginning of underwater helmet diving.
After reading 1st book, thought that it unlikely for a crew of seasoned Taylorsville pick someone as young and inexperience as he. The second was more of a livestock teenager than sailing adventure.
Not your typical pirates, all they want is to take their treasure and live as wealthy legitimate treasure hunters, if the corrupt governor will let them!
One of the best Caribbean sailing books I've read. Has a feel of MobyDick or Treasure Island. I can't vouch for its historical accuracy but seems right.
The story was captivating and fun. As a reader I could envision being on the ship and feeling the treasure. Mr. Breaker had me from the very beginning.
A different story than what was expected in its language and the telling of the tale. I could easily see a sailing man enjoying the nautical reference to so many sailing terms as they would have been stated 200 years ago. Enjoyable read but not one I will soon repeat.
Steven Becker leads the reader throughout the Caribbean with the young and reluctant pirate captain Nick and the crew of the ship Panther. Fast paced and a page turner.
