What was this and why was it so perfect?! It feels like part of a bigger world, but what you needed to know was given with enough information to sink in. It's a bit sci-fi dystopia, a bit paranormal fantasy, and just... So unexpectedly gripping given it's so short. I only give 4 stars because the explaination of the end was a little nebulous (still not certain about the "keymaker"), but I really loved the writing style and how surreal it all was.

This short story definitely feels like it takes part in a larger story. Without looking into it, I could tell the characters and setting were both jumping off into a longer tale, but it was still a quick, interesting read with good imagery. It did make me curious about the world as a whole.

Short read…

…but thought provoking. This short story is like those tiny junior Frosty from Wendy’s, just enough to make you mad because you want more. Seriously, though, it’s hard to talk too much about this without giving it away, but maybe it’ll make you think about the roles people have that you pass by every day.

Bittersweet Tale

What a lovely short story. It's so beautiful, bittersweet, and touching. I don't know how to say much more without spoilers, but it is absolutely worth the 15 minutes or so to read it.

I loved this short story and honestly wish it wasn’t short. I want more of Ezra and more explanation. I want a full length novel! So good!

Way too short. But a beautiful story about love, loss, and sacrificing your own happiness. Please read this. It’s so worth it.

Awesome short story

Rarely do I rate short stories a 5 star read but this one although quick, takes you on quite a ride where you don't find out why till the end. Very well written

Interesting

I like the idea behind this story so far. Albeit, short, this is a very interesting start of something that could be an amazing series. I hope to read more.
