I recommend the thought-provoking online installation by George Shelley: https://phmuseum.com/submissions/a-st....

It's a good time as any to point out I'm writing a fictional story.

On the surface, this text is also fairly surface-level, although I find it most interesting how it attempts to appeal to morality when this same document was created and/or distributed to perpetrate a CIA-backed coup. Typical for the USA. "Assassination is an extreme measure not normally used in clandestine operations. It should be assumed that it will never be ordered or authorized by any U.S. Headquarters." Don't make me laugh!

An extremely dark book that discusses the best ways of murdering people in the most clinical and detached voice. This was given to the military dictator of Guatemala as a way of organizing the mass killings of labor organizers. Very very very dark.

A practical if somewhat dated guide to the most effective ways to kill a target. Poison, blunt weapons, bladed weapons, firearms, and explosives are all covered in detail. Along with killing techniques the book does a good job of explaining assassination plans and employment.
