The Great War continues to rage with no sign of abating. 17-year-old Danny Keeton is whisked away from the front and thrust into a position as an assistant to General Camberwell, the man who almost sentenced him to death.
When he overhears two intruders mention the word ‘Munich’ in the middle of the night, Danny has to act. In a fight that could help decide the course of the war, Danny realises his enemies aren’t who he thinks they are.
As he gets closer to the truth, one stunning revelation about his family changes everything. Will Danny be able to do the right thing?

James Farner is a professional writer and draws upon his love of fiction and his love of stories that span generations. His signature series Made in Yorkshire was born out of a desire to find out ‘what happened next?’
At the end of every good film, book, or TV show the characters disappear and that’s the end of them. James isn’t alone in the desire to find out what happened to the characters afterwards.
This is how Made in Yorkshire appeared. Starting from 1953 and driving on to the modern day, James explores the different eras of Britain through his colourful cast of characters.
Prior to writing fiction, he enjoyed a career as a freelance writer. His writing has appeared online, in magazines, and in a variety of other publications.
When not writing, he can be found sketching, watching sports, and playing the tin whistle.
Although I really enjoy this series, it is frequently disappointing to come across errors. It is clear when reading that these books have not been edited very well, or even at all. The series story is very good with strong characters, but this book does start to verge on unbelievable as a number of the events taking place are quite far fetched.
Just plain unbelievable story where a noncommissioned son of a over the top aristocrat general plans a coup in the army. Not anywhere near the prior books in the series. The books in the series are not expensive but save your time and pass this one
