This book is basically just a simple, repetitive poem illustrated with cute pictures. There are lots of things to look at and find in the illustrations, and the bouncy rhythm of the words is pretty good. I'm not sure if this will be a Halloween favourite of anyone except the youngest of children; there's not much of a story. But it would be a fun (and innocuous) addition to a child's Halloween library.

i bought this book when my LO was just over a year old. she loved it and wanted it read again and again. i loved the illustrations and happily obliged. now, a year later, my LO still loves this book and has started to "read" it to herself. the story text is very simple but the illustrations add to the depth of the story line.

the purfect book to read on halloween morning. it doesn't have much of a story line though. just a nice rhyme. good for a 2-3 year old.

Sorry, two stars means "it was ok" and that's all it was for me. The "pumpkin sad" didn't even look sad to me. I can see why some littles like it read aloud to them, though.

I'll be honest... there's not much substance to this book. But kiddo is a fan of Halloween and an even bigger fan of pumpkins, so he was happy with it.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere is a book that is easy to listen to with engaging illustrations. The author uses jack-o-lanterns to show facial recognition, direction, animal recognition and the fun parts of Halloween. Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere would be an excellent book to use with special learners or ESL kids because of phrases that repeat like "Pumpkin wet and pumpkin dry... Pumpkin happy and pumpkin sad." This book works for classroom or home. This is a Halloween "Friendly" book suitable for small children.

The words just roll right off your tongue when you read this book aloud. The illustrations are vibrant and busy, which leave lots of opportunities to make reading this book with your child interactive. It will make you want to carve a pumpkin together after reading!

Super simple rhyming text makes this a great option for storytime, while the beautiful illustrations tell the bulk of the story and can get the gist across quickly (though more careful inspection yields lots of sweet detail.) A winner.
