Books 22 - 23 in the series that critics describe as a spellbinding blend of mystery, humor, passion, romance, suspense, and forgiveness. Book 22 – Westward Sight. When Frankie Scorrano and D.J. Samuels meet, romance blossoms, but when a terrible illness strikes, leaving behind complications, will their love survive or will it succumb to bitterness and despair? Book 23 – Westward Horizons. Grieving Chief Black Fox meets Beth Langley, who runs an orphanage in Wolf Point, and they fall in love. Can they reach the horizon that promises happiness, or will their path be forever darkened by anger and pride?
Amazing stories! So sad to see this series ending. But these last two stories were wonderful. The epilogue at the end was perfect. So glad I found your stories Linda. I will revisit Dawson regularly and continue to follow any new series you write. Thank you Linda and keep writing please.
I loved the whole 23 series and was very sad that it has ended, but I have never connected with characters in a book like I did in this wonderful books of reading. I hope that Linda Bridey will write some more in the future.
This set captures the essence of the town and people of Dawson and ended their stories in a comforting manner. They live on in imagination and love for each other and the two diverse cultures were well defined in these wonderful stories.
Excellent character development, new situations, love, disaster, death, disappointment and reconciliation. Sincerely think about, dream, even pray for characters, families within the pages. Loved the Epilogue, wraps up so many ends. Bravo!
If I wanted to say everything about how wonderful this series has been, I would go on forever. I have laughed and cried and feel these stories have become a part of my life. The most amazing revelation is the epilogue that brings us up to date.. Yes it makes me want to cry even more.. To imagine being a descendant and able to see the history and relive it is beyond imagination. I think I fell in love with almost every family member and with Chief Black Fox to wrap up the last story pulled it all together. I kept picturing him in my mind and he is larger than life.. If you have not read or listened, you are missing something awe inspiring and with J Scott Bennett telling the last story, I know these will remain in my heart forever.. Thank you Linda Bridey for providing these for free and for hours and hours of heartfelt tales that have touched my life.
I really enjoyed learning about the Montana mail order brides!! I started reading them and couldn't stop so signed up for kindle unlimited to get the last books. All the characters were detailed and So down to earth that you could have them as your neighbors if you had been there in the 1800s. Loved how Linda described each person and how they all interacted with each other. Going to start on then next series but they will have to be great to be able to match this set of books. Keep up the good work and don't give up writing!!
I just finished the last book in this saga. I enjoyed each story so much. It was great reading to see how the white man and Lakota Indians meshed their lives ❤together and became one big family. It is despicable how the Indian tribes were treated by the U. S. Army. As I read each story, I almost felt like I was living the story and could hardly wait to see which family members would be the focus of the next story!! Thank you Linda Bridey for sharing your writing talents with us. I can't wAit to read the next series!😀
This is an amazing story. I usually like books with graphic sex scenes, but this series completely captivated me. I feel like I truly know all the characters and I am so sad that this is the end of this series. I will definitely be looking into other series offered by Linda. Absolutely amazing. Thank you Linda Bridey, for giving me the opportunity to to be taken away from all the stress in my life and have a little peacefulness and relaxation by going on this fabulous journey to Dawson Montana.
I fell in love with these characters almost immediately!! Linda Bridey brought the stories of each person in Dawson to life right before my eyes. If you like western romance then you will enjoy the Montana Mail order bride Westward series!!
The only on was the typos. But once you ignore those and immerse yourself in the town of Dawson you will never want to leave!
This series entailed many topics that we still face in modern days, bigotry, racism, interracial relationships, sexual assaults, mental illness and jealousy. Yet, it was written in such a wholesome way. I loved all the characters. Mostly, the one thing I enjoyed is the emphasize on family. No matter what, good or bad, Family is FAMILY. We must all be there for one another.
I loved reading each book as it brought more characters and updated others and not just a quick blurb like so many other books. I was surprised this was based on real people. Someday my trip across the country will include a stop in Dawson so i can see all of it in real life. So sad its ended but i am definitely a fan and will be reading other series too. Wankan Tanka blessings!
Reading this series has truly been a joy. Linda weaves such vivid stories, it is almost like watching a movie that pulls you in and won't allow you to walk away. I am truly sad to reach the end. Being a glutton for punishment, I am now about to dive into the Echo Canyon series. Here's to just one more chapter all night long.
Thank you so much for a lovely walk in your world. I have just finished the series from 1 to 23. I had read them before, but not in order. What a beautiful way to walk through a community the way it should have been. You have shown the heart aches that were very real and the joys of the characters when all was at peace. You are a wonderful story teller.
I love this series! While I do wish that some of the books had been better edited, they did seem to get better as the series went along. I really wish the stories could have continued, but that's just me being greedy. These characters became my friends and neighbors and I hope the author is pleased with that.
I read every volume. Thoroughly enjoyed each one. When they were completed I felt very sad. Almost as if I were leaving family behind. Thank you Ms. Bridey for the added statements from present day family members. It made closing the last book easier. I highly recommend all of these books.
I’m glad you ended this series the way you did, it was well written and i enjoyed reading it very much and I would recommend this series to everyone, your writing style, and the way you keep me interested and wanting more. And the way you used your characters made this story very interesting.thank you for a good time!
I just finished all 23 books in this series one right after the other. I loved everyone of these storys and couldn't put them down. Sadness was the feeling I had at the end of 23. I have never felt that way at the end of a series before. It was like I was going to.miss all these people I had meant through the books. Highly recommend them.
I am truly sorry for this series to end. I have enjoyed getting to know Dawson and it’s population of characters. I have laughed and I have cried through the whole series. I will move to the next series because the author engages her readers in a way that is unfortunately uncommon. While I will miss my Joe and Black Fox, I will never forget them.
Read all 23 plus extra. Characters all portrayed in such a way to capture distinct personalities. Learned a lot of history and a new appreciation for like in the late 1800s. Highly recommend these books but don't start them if you don't want to be reading for a while. You have to keep reading the next one to continue the story.
I encourage all to read the Westward series in order. Even though they say the books can stand alone ... Linda has done an outstanding job in the even flow of the heart felt stories of memorable characters. The old saying you read one store they are all alike. Not true, nottrue . Thank you Linda Bridey for all your work.
I have very much enjoyed reading Westward series. It was like you was with them all throughout the happy times and sad times . Thank you for writing a Wonderful series
I just finished the last book of the series and it is difficult saying goodbye to so many new friends. Thanks for sending them to me. I'm sorry that I had to use the lending library to read them. This has been a wonderful week to read them. Thanks again.
Where sweet ending to do many beloved characters! I have very much enjoyed reading this series! I truly hate to see them end! But Black Fox was a wonderful storyteller! Might we someday read all histales? Loved this !
Loved meeting all the Dawson families. They become come to your heart. You laugh one moment and cry the next.great stories. Makes me want to visit the town to see if it has any of the stuff in the stories.
Montana brides series has been an interesting experience.
I hesitated ordering this series. I am glad that I did. The story is addictive, interesting, humorous and heart warming. Thanks for sharing your imagination.
I enjoyed this series of books on mail order brides. The characters were interesting. Really enjoyed the he books! Will look forward to more Western mail order bides.
As I finished this boxed set I knew it was the end so to speak. Like the author I love the characters, plots, drama and romance. Black Fox's story was fitting. You won't be disappointed with this entire series.
Entertaining, feel as though you are at the movies
As always with India books ,one gets spellbound with the book . I end up crying with the characters and laughing with them and there are times I just get upset with them.in the end everything works out for the best.
This has been such a great series. I have enjoyed reading about the lives of the Samuels, Dwyer, and Lakota families. I will miss them all. Thank you Ms Bridge. I look forward to your next books.
