Different Voices: Gender and Perspective in Student Affairs Administration

Rate this book
This monograph examines some of the assumptions underlying student affairs administration and student development education, particularly those concerning sex-role socialization. The authors describe the effects of sex-role socialization and some implications for student affairs administrators. By exploring gender, perceptions, conflict management, and leadership, this book attempts to contribute to an understanding of our historical assumptions about the world and how we make sense of our work in it as women and men, as student affairs professionals in an academic environment, as Americans in a global community, and as human beings.
