Tao Mentoring: Cultivate Collaborative Relationships in All Areas of Your Life

Rate this book
Mentoring is one of the most talked-about concepts in business, sports, and education. In a time when corporate downsizing, school cutbacks, and single-parent families threaten to leave us with fewer role models and teachers, mentoring is more vital than ever. As applicable in a boardroom as a living room, Tao Mentoring offers a brief introduction to entering into mutually beneficial learning/teaching relationships. Huang's master calligraphy brings the text alive.

Now that I've encountered mentoring in many more forms, I am going back and re-reading this philosophical approach. ;-)

i try to read about one virtue every day; it's broken down for that kind of function. makes for a great focus for a yoga or meditation practice. and letting the concepts (for instance, nonjudgment, kindness, integrity) soak in for a day gives me a chance to interact with people following the tao mentoring principles. as in, every relationship we have can be seen as a tao mentor model--giving and taking, learning & teaching simultaneously.
