I don't hate this book. I just didn't really understand it. The little girl is 14 and the billionaire is 28. And they have a "connection" I just can't get over the perveness of it all. Completely inappropriate in my opinion. Plus the immaturity makes you wonder if Serenity truly loves Willem or if it's hero worship.

The use of billionaire over and over grated on me. We get it. He's rich. Why call him by billionaire as though it were his name?

My first Marian Tee book, and I after this series, I devoured almost all of her books!

Because I read so many books, it so common to find similar story. Finding the different one would be very joyful to me, more so if its the good one.

This book is one of them. The story is so fresh and full of spectacles.
What's more f**ked up than loving your older sister's boyfriend?
And more so, he only see you as a little sister, and have so many restraints oven though you temp him?
I usually avoid love triangle stories, but I quite enjoy this one. It doesn't mean that some sad parts makes my heart squeezed painfully, but the heartache is not the dominant part of this series.

I also enjoy their relationship development...slow but in measured way. Willem is so sweet toward Serenity, and I enjoy the way they react to each other.
The time frame of this book is also long, but very detail on the description of Serenity and Willem life and mind turmoil.
Since I am an happy ending lover, I love the ending so much. It is also so beautiful and satisfying.
Just glad I read this book!

Really uncomfortable read. I was really hoping that the age jump would happen way before it did because it was just a chapter away from being too much. The whole deal with the older sister was just as bad seeing how those two hooked up in the beginning. Then for Willem to move onto Serenity it was like, come on! I was so ready for it to be over because I knew in the other book Serenity wasn’t that young. This one I could’ve done without. The story could’ve been a flashback or something different from this almost “to catch a predator” read. Seemed like the only one with a bit of sense in this was the doctor but even he didn’t really step in and put it out like it should’ve been. Good thing this one was free and I had some insight from the other book.

This was a great read. The story was interesting as it had a forbidden love aspect because both characters should not want to be with other, but can't help it. The characters were great too. Serenity was a beautiful character to read. I felt bad for her because she had been through so much throughout her young life.

Williem was interesting because he knows Serenity makes him happy, but he pulls away every time because he thinks that he should not love Serenity. Therefore, during the middle of the story and towards the end as well, he acted like such an idiot. I hope he gets his act together. Overall, an interesting read.

I've never read a book with a Dutch billionaire, so I figured, why not? This book is very short and I devoured it in one sitting. The author's writing style is not something I'm used to but somehow, the author made it work.

I love love love Wilhem and Serenity's relationship. Serenity met Wilhem when she was 14, and he, 28. They developed a beautiful friendship with the Dutch Billionaire growing extremely fond of the little girl, and she also developed a crush on him. Her love for him is so pure and you can really feel it. I like it.

Can't wait to read the second one!

As this is not my first Marian Tee book, I once again am falling in love with her new handsome and hardcore men. William, being another gorgeous rich god, makes you love him with the sensitive side. But, at the same time, it makes you hate him because of simple reason that he can not figure out that he actually IS for Serenity. The storyline is another phenomenon attraction that has got me hooked for the next installments in this short series.

Wonderful start to the trilogy. Lots of angst for these two great characters. I'm moving right on to part two.

The age gap was kind of strange especially since they start off the relationship building very young. The ending was a tactic to get readers to buy the next novel but I don't care enough to do it.

Seriously... I need a moment, to allow that to sink in.... I just finished this book, and WOW.... This was my first book by Marian Tee (Admittedly I'm reading the complete trilogy not each one individually) and it piqued my interest from the first lines of the story.

Serenity Raleigh, is only 14 when she meets 28 year old billionaire, Willem de Konigh; having gone through extreme tragedy Serenity struggles to relate to people and her step mother and older sister aren't exactly welcoming of Serenity and her issues. So when Willem takes an interest in her she's quick to dismiss it as someone who only pities her, and the tragedy she faced as a child. He brings out the best in her and she brings out the best in him, but Willem cannot acknowledge it especially when he's dating her sister. For Serenity's sake she tries to find out if he feels the same... AND THEN END OF PART 1!

This series has come as something of a surprise to me, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was, I picked it up on a whim, interesting story... It's one of those stories I will attempt to finish in one sitting, it's that good so far! I highly recommend this if you're considering it.

I don't know what to think of this series/books - parts of it were intriguing, other parts I didn't care for that much. I was trying to find something to read over the holidays on my new Nook and I had a credit that came with the device, saw this series recommended on Goodreads somewhere, book one was free, so I downloaded it.

The books are VERY short; book one is 64 pages, and about 10 of those in the beginning are the ToC, and blurbs for other books by the author, so you get about 50 pages. I'm not kidding - the story begins on page 11. Book two is 82 pages, so you get about 72 to read, but the book is $2.99, which seems a little high for such a short offering.

It starts off in first person when the h - Serenity - is young, and in ballet class; I won't go into the details, but I'll just say her father is unhinged with is part of the intriguing aspect to the story and should have been more developed instead of given a somewhat awkward prologue.

Willem, the H, is a billionaire related to the monarch of one of the provinces (?) in the Netherlands, wields incredible influence, and runs a business. The book opens with him finishing supper with a woman, Shane, who you find out is half sister to the h.

The rest of the book is told in third person, which I usually like, but the tone is a bit odd - more declarative than narrative. For one thing, the term 'Dutch billionaire' is horribly overused: "She heard the Dutch billionaire call her name...", "But the Dutch billionaire...". It gets to be VERY repetitive.

I also find it a bit creepy that Willem first meets her when she is 14, and they begin to talk; he is twice her age at that point, and she almost instantly develops a crush on him. He likes chatting with her, she 'relaxes' him, and he buys her gifts. Tee tries to give it innocent overtones, but it still feels off a bit; it's so obvious she is mad about him, and he comes to rely on her, so... it still feels creepy.

I thought her background with her father and then relocation to Amsterdam to live with Shane and Shane's mom was something that could have been developed more. Instead we get the idea that Serenity is somewhat familiar with the city, but it's all told, not shown, and I think it would have helped to flesh Serenity out if the book had included some of her excursions. You are supposed to feel that she is a lonely girl, but you're shown very little of who she is, just told a bit and meant to extrapolate from her experience with her father and the 'family' she lives with.

Throughout the books, Serenity and Willem are alternately likable and annoying. She is strong and smart, (although again, you are mostly told this, not shown, so it isn't entirely believable), but then she is a victim. She is presented as innocent, sweet and guileless one moment, but then decides to concoct a situation so that Willem faces the fact she's in love with him, (which she is certain is true), which is manipulative, hardly how she has been painted up to now. He is supposed to be smart but in book two really jumps the shark, acts very irrational and makes a terrible decision and . That was a TSTL moment, and then Willem panics when he thinks Serenity really does love him, and he concocts some scheme with her horrible sister.

After that point I lost a lot of interest in the series because the characters weren't so developed that I felt really attached, and I felt they were inconsistent and sometimes silly, but I still had remaining credit and bought the last book, and you do feel a bit sorry for Serenity. She's caused some of her own problems, but also been dealt a rough hand, too. There was some development in book three, but then it got absurd again. Shane could have become a really good villain but she gets short shrift and is reduced to a bragger and Willem concocts a sort of ridiculous way to teach her a lesson and humiliate her. Then Willem - who has to be dignified and represent his grandmother well - does something just ludicrous to Serenity at a meal attended by a bunch of people. In the end, the seems a bit too fast, too forced. To be honest, I didn't finish the last few pages after the dinner thing, because it seems like it was purposely sensational.

I hope this review conveys the confusion I feel. I think the series could have been great - one of the things that drew my eye was that the H was Dutch. I haven't visited the Netherlands, but would really like too, and remember being curious about that country since I did a report on it in grammar school. Serenity's background is interesting, and as I said, Shane could have been a great antagonist, but the book is too short, the story kind of stilted in some parts, and the characters aren't utterly compelling.

Gifted by the author in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this story! The ending? (Let's just say it wouldn't be Marian Tee without it). -_-'

Serenity's had a hard life, but I love the way she composed herself and handled everything despite her young age. A little reserved, she sparks an interest in Willem that he brushes off as something akin to paternal care, like the care he gave to his younger siblings. Seeing a heroine as a child and young woman was so refreshing and interesting. Not so much hot and heavy romance yet, but more of a blooming care of affection. And who doesn't love fated love?

Willem was a cool bastard, and his hand in Serenity's few years as a young lady was fun to read. I just love the way they cared for each other without it being so- er, un-platonic? It was an especially yummy treat since I read a series prior to their love story, so this was more of a background story to catch me up to why they were the way they were in the Greek Billionaire and His Secretary.

I recommend this story because it was sweet, clean and carried a steady pace.

This is a great start to this series. I was drawn in instantly to the characters and the story line. Yes it is a little taboo, but that's what made me want to read it even more. Plus I'm digging the cover; no half naked men for a change. Ya!

I really liked Serenity and she showed a lot of determination for someone so young and for what she has already been through. It would have taken taken a great amount of self courage to do what she did, and then have to rebuild her life again in a new place.

Willem, on the other hand was a mixed bag for me. Some spots he was a real gentleman and other times I just wanted to punch him for been so blind to the truth. Even his sisters could see what was happening.

The dual POV was another enjoyable aspect, even if it was a little hard to follow who's was who's sometimes. There are also a few time jumps in this story; while not hard to follow I did have to be weary about them. I didn't like the authors' overuse of the words 'dutch billionaire'. I just started to get on my nerves a little.

Oh! But that ending! OMG! How could he just do that after all this time?! Book 2 here I come...

Oh wow! I love Willem and Serenity! What a beginning. This story shows that when you meet 'the one', you will feel something. Maybe you don't know what it is yet but the connection will be there from the start.

Willem felt a connection when he meets Sere. He doesn't know what it is about her but he knows there is 'something'. They meet through her half sister, Shane. Unfortunately, Willem tries to ignore it since she was only 14.

Serenity has suffered a childhood trauma. It has damaged her in ways you can only imagine, and meeting Willem, she was shocked to feel something for the man. She's never felt anything for a man before him. though because of her past, her insecurities get the better of her.

I won't say much but though the ending was as heart-wrenching as we know Ms. Tee's books could be, this story, Willem's and Sere's beginning, is definitely a must read. Yes! It does get way better and to get there, we have to feel with both Willem and Serenity because, well, why else do we read?

I loved their beginning, I loved the middle and I am sure I will love their end. Well, not really their end but the beginning of their love.

Thank you once again Ms. Tee!

Cinderella/Cinderfella...

First, I am a fan of Ms. Tee books. I did covered then by accident while searching for something to get lost in. The female heroine in this story is young and impressionable, Serenity. Her name is her personality. She is tortured by an experience with her father and here comes Willem to hero to save the day. He seems his intentions on the surface is pure, because there is nothing wrong with a 28 year befriended a 14 year, but they are friends only. They need each other and he serves as a protector for against herself as well as others. I hate the doctor for planting seeds.of doubt.

This story has the wicked step sister and evil stepmother with the Prince to save the day. This is a series, but I like the fact that this author keeps her books close in release where you don't lose the momentum in reading. This is why I keep reading her books. I have read great deal of them and will continue. On to book 2!

Serenity has had a terrible childhood, she watched her father commit suicide because she didn't want to dance anymore. She is sent off to live with her mother and sister. She meets Willem, a Duch billionaire, when he is over seeing her sister. There is big age difference between them, she's 14 and he's 28. She crushes on him and he's unsure of his feelings but does nice things for her, like presents, protection and later a job at his company. I couldn't get past the pedophilic vibe I was getting, he would get jealous and annoyed with her behavior. I couldn't get into the heads of any of the characters. Serenity would have been intersting if I could have known more about her thoughts. Every other sentence mentioned that Willem was a billionaire, which gratted on my nerves. Not interested in continuing on.

Love the cover by the way.

I liked how this alternates between their past and future. And like the rest of Ms. Tee's books their past was gut wrenching. I can't imagine what Serenity felt when that incident happened to her. Although I'm glad that somehow she's coping well even if it is just taking her some time. I kind of also remembered Cinderella but very different and it has that Ms. Tee twist.

It also has it's own sense of humor and their sweet and cute moments. Although Willem is truly an idiot. I feel like face palming myself plus they're both stubborn in their own way. Still, I loved how Serenity had the guts to confront Willem. The ending is a total cliffhanger.

Can't wait to read book 2.

This is the story of Willem and Serenity. This book is the first of the trilogy. Although its short, it still packs in a lot of important information. You see the characters from an early age and you see how they grow to be. Serenity has to be one of my favorite characters. She has this overwhelming strength that I wish I had. She's strong and can handle almost anything that's thrown her way. This books sets off a caring vibe between Willem and Serenity. It leads to a great storyline for the next

Well, it's time for Willem and Serenity's journey and just the first book is quite a ride. I love the way these billionaire stories tear at your heart. Book 1 is a quick read, but totally worth it. You get some history and understand Serenity a little better. As usual, you can expect some heartache with the billionaire and I expect there to be more before their story ends. I can't wait to know how it ends!

Good start on Willem and Serenity's love story series. I like Serenity's young innocent love towards Willem. Willem, I do not like his character, he came across as manipulative POS jerk. This fun short read with wicked step-mother and bitchy step-sister. :)

Какая бестолковая книга этот ваш голландский миллионер. Для кого пишутся такие книги и откуда такой рейтинг пока остаётся для меня загадкой. Думаю автор не разочарует меня и продолжение этой истории будет ещё более бездарное
