Wonderful book of strategies...integrating reading, writing, and technology for upper elementary, middle school and high school! Each strategy has rationale, how to incorporate technology, and steps to implement in content area classes. Also has a way to get in additional writing (and we definitely need that!). Does have alignment to common core included, and could easily be adapted to any curriculum.

I have been reading this book, one idea at a time. First I'll say that I was able to pull a few fresh ideas out of this book to use in my own classroom, and this is always a plus. But, what makes this book so important, in my opinion, is that classroom teachers across all content areas are certain to find value in this book. The ideas are engaging and flexible, highlighting possibilities for "smuggling" writing into the nooks and crannies of classrooms where one might not normally find writing. Although this book is by no means groundbreaking, it is full of readily useful ideas.
