The crafts are too simple and just common sense. Example: using plastic cups to store extension cords. This appears to be like other books from this author who is generating nonsense to sell while repeatedly soliciting the reader to subscribe and submit your email. I would not trust positive reviews, and do not recommend this book.
These are not clutter busting crafts, but truly just things you can make to perhaps use around the house. Each one could possibly use goods around your home, but they're not developed that way. I won't be using anything because they would actually increase clutter in my home.
Household Cleaning Hacks (4th Edition): 93 Crafts That Help Rid Your Home Of… — Kitty Moore (Introduction + 93 “hacks” + Conclusion) May 27, 2018
Obviously I didn’t read the whole title when I downloaded this quick read. I thought this was going to be along the minimalist theme. However, this is a good for crafty individuals.
It is well done and has clear instructions, but some of the hacks are above basic skills, and a lot of them have items that need to be purchased to make the items.
This would be a great book for super crafty, creative individuals. Some of the hacks were for kid’s spaces too, so this is a book for many rooms inside the house. One of the hacks I loved was a pantry for a small space (which applies to me,) but it was too complex for me to build. Which means, while there are several ideas that could be easily completed in an afternoon, some were very complex and might take much longer than a weekend.
Because this book wasn't what I was looking forward, I didn't give it a lot of stars, but it still has something for everyone (I even found a few that I thought I could create.)
This is a well written, incredibly useful, creative book on how to reduce clutter in your home. It was filled with really neat ideas I'd never considered, yet they were simple to do and manage. So many of the ideas were actually fun and crafty! I found myself taking notes while reading and I can't wait to put these ideas to good use. It's definitely a motivator. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to reduce clutter and stress in the home, as well as have a little fun while doing so.
Most of these ideas I personally don't have much use for. However, it would be a good book for couples or families. In general I think that there might be one that would be of use for most anyone that picked up the book.
This book was cute an nd it was full of fun little projects you could do to help declutter...maybe unless your like me then it would just add more clutter on top of the clutter. However I did only give it 3 stars because I think it would have been better if there were pictures of the finished project and I Dr you'd feel like this book read more like a blog...and any if the ideas could be found on pintetest.
I find it useful, and necessary, to have a picture of what I am trying to make. To just mention materials (as in listing a "rod") isn't very informative. If I go to the hardware store and say I want a "rod" will probably be met with my question: what kind of rod? These ideas seem good but I would like to know if they look good.
Might have been a decent read, if the author would have taken time to actually use pictures to show what the crafts look like, used even black/white instruction pictures, or just something. Instead, this was a bunch of things found on sites for free, slapped together hastily, and called a book. Sad.
