Continuous Discontinuous: Curve 2

Rate this book
Andrew Levy's wonderful new book can be read, in part, as a meditation within and upon its title, _Continuous Discontinuous_. That is, it raises the question, what is or isn't discontinuous with what. The question pertains both to phrases of language and to moments of experience; it pertains, that is, both to meaning (those fragile junctures) and to identity (potential continuities of the self). The four forceful, lovely works collected here, though very different from each other, all represent profound and yet quickly changing encounters with sense and sensation. All are swiftly impressionistic and rigorously thoughtful.- Lyn Hejinian
