So I'm done and a little confused because I thought I was reading a book called Heat but in fact it was called Bang? WHAT!!
The story itself was very entertaining but I'm really disappointed there wasn't more and I fact there's two other books along with this one so I finished at 36% on my Kindle. I thought I was getting a longer story. Yes it was only $0.99 but I feel cheated. I wanted more of the 12 inch cock and the porn star attached to it named Trent!!!

Added note: How weird that the author would change the title of a book after publication. Not a cool move IMHO at all. I read the book BANG not HEAT (though I doubt there is any difference between them).
On to the review
So I really didn't like Grind and swore I wouldn't read anything by this author again. Problem was the blurb on this one pulled me in and I didn't realize it was by the author whose writing annoyed me until I was reading, and I hate doing DNFs. So we'll see if I like this one and I'll post the review when I'm done.
Review: It was better than Grind, but still lacked any type of oomph. And the timeline is completely off. It states that Trent got into the porn business at age 18 and had been doing it ever since (I believe it says 7 years) but then it mentions how he was in the "service" with Chan and Joss. Um, when? Was he doing porn and in service at the same time. That's hard to believe.
Lexi forgave him way too easily after he humiliated her. Being an ass is one thing, but so blatantly sexually humiliating someone is entirely different, he should've suffered some. In fact, every time something happened one moment Lexi was "Oh hell no" and the next she was all up on Trent. He seriously didn't have to work for this relationship at all.
Another thing was the condoms/vasectomy issue. First really, let's have sex with a porn star without using protection - I don't care if Lexi did see his charts. It's ridiculous. And the vasectomy issue was a huge WTF. Really?!? This woman is a freaking nurse.
Oh, and anal sex with 12 inches...I'll let you draw your own conclusions, but did it really have to be 12 inches to make this book a success?
I did like the short sections, though. It kept the whole thing moving swiftly. Also, for the most part, I thought Trent was kinda adorable, and I loved seeing such a variety in the sexual area, though I can't believe blowjobs weren't more on the table. Lexi needs to learn how to reciprocate better.

Train wreck.
I was only able to make it through the first story (yeah, I didn't know it was a collection either since the author didn't bother letting readers know. Thanks for that.) It was generic and predictable as were the characters. The spelling mistakes and grammatical errors on almost every page were annoying too. What's "cuming?" Someone explain it to me since it makes it sound like the characters are sprinkling spices on each other. I would have accepted "coming" or even "cumming" but no. The author had to make up a word. It sounded ridiculous. There needs to be structure to a story and there was none found here. It sounds ridiculous when authors don't abbreviate when their characters converse. It makes them sound like robots. For example: “It’s okay, you are just swelling. It might be a blood clot. Don’t be scared, I will take care of you.”
Ask yourself this: do you know anyone who talks like that? I'm 99.9% certain the answer is no, so why would you write it that way?!? This book was a huge letdown. I won't be reading any others by this author.

So I learned as I was reading this it was published first under the name Bang and then changed to Heat. Either title works so I am not going to get hung up on that.We meet Trent or "Rez" as he is known in the porn business as he is banging another porn star for the money shot. He feels nothing and can hold an erection for as long as needed and cum on his own minds command. It's just another day in the life of Rez the 12" cock porn star. Trent plays hard, fucks hard and lives hard. Drugs and alcohol are nothing new to him and he is pretty wealthy. I didn't get to see much of this lifestyle so I can't really say if it was growing old and boring yet for him. Then wham, he's riding his motorcycle home when he realizes he probably shouldn't be driving and ends up in an accident that breaks a lot of bones, but yeah, not his boner.
Lexi is your basic nurse whose life is really complicated. She is the legal guardian of a sister with lots of issues. Hiring someone to be with her sister when she works cuts into the paychecks. Hoping to make head nurse, she takes each patient seriously until Trent comes along. She knows he is high and gets an opinion of him fast when the cops conveniently "lose" the paperwork proving it. Trent tells her he is famous, but she doesn't know for what...yet.
Trent is immediately in lust for Lexi, something he hasn't felt in a long time. He sprouts boners at sponge baths and lurks into her life to get to know her better. At first he is confused by what he feels and then starts to feel dirty for the career he has chosen. Hoping against hope, he tries to get to know her better before she finds out his past. Seducing her in supply closets is just a means to an end even if he throughly enjoys it.
But Lexi does find out who and what he does for a living. It is kind of a wake up call that she is attracted to a porn star, but Trent isn't letting go and pulls out all the stops to make her love him.
The writing was just so-so on this one. There were a lot of spelling errors and grammar issues that could have used a editor. Then each chapter alternated from Trent and Lexi's perspective written in first person. At times you felt like you were at a tennis match bobbing your head back and forth. Oh, and the whole condom issue rises it's ugly head with assumptions. I could see that one coming a mile away.
So while I wanted to get an in depth look at how a porn star falls in love, I mostly got a superficial look into a romance story where Trent won't take no for an answer and has the money to make it happen. Lexi wasn't a virgin, but she allows Trent to go lots of places I didn't think she would allow so easily.
These two just didn't do it for me. I found the sex sexy, but the out of sex times just blah. I wanted more with more mature characters, which I felt Trent needed some growing up. Since I got it with Kindle Unlimited, I don't feel slighted. Be warned, the book has a lot of excerpts at the end and the percentage done doesn't tell the story of how much you really have read of the current book, Heat.

Received a copy for an honest review! A Bang can be full of Heat! Trent and Lexi are the supreme example of opposites attract. Trent is hot, sexy and he has found an angel. Lexi is focused, sassy and learns how to let go a little. These two collide in a large way. The story takes you on a journey that is fun, heated, entertaining and leaves you wanting to be in their world. When you have that moment in time when you see what you could have right in front of you and fight for it. That is how I feel about Trent and Lexi. They want it but they just need to fight for it. This is a great example of a cat and mouse chase and I love it. Joanna Blake has gifted us with another read where you fall in love with the characters. The way she writes her characters amazes me and I always want more. Love Joanna Blake and her work. Go one click and enjoy a great journey.

Trent is a well-endowed man, and Lexi's first time seeing that well-endowment makes Trent have some interesting thoughts, "yes, Lexi. This is just a garden variety boner. If the garden was on steroids. “I apologize. You…do things to me.” Her mouth snapped shut. She was looking at me, not at my ***k. Which I have to admit, was a first. Usually people stared." Trent takes care of his women and by women I mean Lexi and her sister he's just a sweet guy when it comes to Lexi's sister, "in the end I bought a whole set. A locket with room for a photo inside. A bracelet with a simple heart charm. And a gold ring with a small diamond in it. I didn’t want Charlotte to feel left out." I liked this book Trent was a good guy once he got his head removed from his butt.

Bang finishes at the 37% on my kindle. BRO' and A Bad Boy For Summer are bonus books after Bang. I did not realize this until I went back and reread the blurb. The book was 99c which was great...I was just disappointed that it wasn't longer.

This book puts the hot-in hotness when you are reading about Trent. He has been ridden, excuse the pun, hard and put away wet. He is looking for love but he doesn’t think he is ever going to find that mythical unicorn in his life. Trent is a porn star who does everything to excess-- everything is as hard as he can until life takes an unexpected turn .He has a bad accident and he breaks a bunch of bones. Well, he is now in the hospital and laid up until he heals. What will happen to him and who will take care of him? In comes his nurse, sweet and lovely Lexi. I love her character. She is dedicated to her job and one for making sure her patients are taken care of while Trent is one for making her job harder—definitely harder {wink}. There is an instant connection , a chemistry between them which is rough for Lexi because this is her patient and she is trying to be on her best behavior and that is SOOO not Trent. As getting into the story, we find out Lexi has had not a very good life and it has been rough. And we see some things about Trent and we see them grow and the walls come down and they connect. Oh and the steam between them became a bloody inferno of smoke and flames. The title definitely fit this story. It started off with a bang and it ended with a bang. I loved the MC and how they had jobs that had no relations to each other but that didn’t make them less of a person. They still ended up finding their way to each other. This is another winner by Joanna Blake. It is a romantic yet also very much erotic story at the same time. There is humor blended in. You will find so much infused in to enjoy. I have found many things that I have enjoyed. I do not want to give too much away for spoilers would be bad but this is very very good and you do not want to miss out on this gem.

HOLY HOTNESS!! This one starts out with a BIG bang and just keeps on getting better and better with so much sexual tension it's crazy.
When porn star Trent gets himself into a bad situation...going too fast when he has been partying too hard...he ends up in the hospital, a broken bad-boy, under the care of adorable nurse Lexi. She is a hard working dedicated professional with a tough life and too many responsibilities to be getting involved with this player, but he won't take no for an answer. Let the games begin...and they do...and it was so much fun to watch them and see how they both work to break down each other's walls.
As with all of Blakes's books, there is a ton of steam to go along with her really sweet and lovely romances and in spite of the graphic nature of this one, underneath it all is a really good story of family and learning to grow up and mature when the time is right. My only complaint is that it is too short...I wanted more, more, more!

Barely Finished
This was almost a dnf for me. It went on much further I wouldn't have.
Let me explain my issues with this. First of all, yes, he's a porn star but 12 inches, seriously? And this guy would say tummy,again, seriously? Then there was no conflict at all. Even when the heroine finds out who he is, she's out of the picture for like five seconds. And what's even better, once she finds out about him, still have unprotected sex, which is fine, but you'd think there'd be at least conversation. She does something to upset him and he just uses sex to ease the hurt.
There could have been more with her sister, that was never resolved and it seems like they just lived off him. If this would have gone farther than 37% to be finished I wouldn't have been able to do it.

Love Trent and Lexi together. Trent has a job most men dream of..Porn Star. Lexi is your average life saving nurse who takes care of her younger sister. These two meet in the E.R. after an accident and the sparks start flying. I hope the sprinkler system in that hospital works because the fire is getting hotter and hotter the more these two interact. Trent finally convinces Lexi to go out with him and takes her on a date most ladies would dream of. They are on fire at this point. Will the flames die down or keep on burning? You'll have to read to find out. You won't regret it. I was hooked from beginning to end and wish this story had been a little longer! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a really good book - I enjoyed it a lot, read it in one sitting. Though lol, I didn't realize there were three books in one, so I was like, what is going on? The book feels like it's coming to an end, but it's only at like, 35%, and then it ended! But then I came on Goodreads and saw there were the extra books added in and that's why it's long. Cool, since I enjoyed the first book so much.
Gotta say I do like books about porn stars and strippers, ha. If they're done right, anyway, and this one was. The relationship develops so well. Slowly and realistically and it was just lovely getting to be in each of their heads. Sigh, so lovely. Opposites attracts stories are so much fun :)

Great love story
Lexi is an amazing nurse, dedicated to her job, carrying for her special needs sister all by herself. Trent was hot and he knew it. But being in the hospital, his nurse got he thinking all sorts of things. He had to have her but had to to it quick...before she found out his day job.

However, don't get too excited; the book was still riddled with grammar/usage errors.
I suggest this author, who is talented enough to write a decent tale, splurge for an editor who will catch the mistakes she repeats. Maybe the editor can encourage her to also mix things up a bit since her books are getting a bit formulaic.

Yeah!
I really enjoyed Trent and Lexis story. Even though it was short, I felt the characters emotions. I loved his relationship with Char also. I felt the electric charge between them and I was glad things flourished between them.

It was shallow. And moving incredibly fast. The characters were nothing. I'm pretty sure the dude's penis played the biggest role in the book.

This was my first and last time reading this author. I only finished this book because it was short.
I really hated Trent. And no, his job has nothing to do with my hate towards him.
At first I liked Lexi but then I started to hate her too.

Surprisingly good read. Normally I wouldn't give this book a shot in hell because who really wants to read a romance about a guy that gets paid big bucks to bang other women and on camera...but this story drew me in. It felt real....the drugs, the booze, the women and even the whole recklessness of his life is something that you would almost expect from someone with that career. I liked that all of his interactions with h was playful and emphasized how different his feelings were. Lexi was a dedicated nurse and it was great to see that she loved her sister so fiercely. I liked that she didn't immediately give into him either!
