As Ambassador David Windsor sat at his desk in London, a telephone call from the Duke of Summerset, Darren Wilson was received asking him and Shane Windsor to fly to Washington, D.C. to meet with the President. After arriving and meeting with the President, David learned that he was tasked with the duty to fly to Kurdistan and meet with the leaders of that region to help stem the tide of ISIS. His second assignment was to meet with the President of the Ukraine and to discuss the Russian incursion into his country. This eventually led Ambassador Windsor into a direct confrontation with Vladimir Putin of Russia.

*So far is the last book in series, however the author has said there can be one more. And I it happens to give romantic closure for 2 character to end this series* David and Shane take on 2 major issues that if not done correctly could cause the next World War. Victoria is deciding to run again for a 2nd term but while she focuses on that, she asks for David to help assist in dealing with Russia and Isis. They must leave Jack at home and embark on a dangerous journey that they could possibly die in. At the end, David and Shane make decisions that are best for their family If another book does come out, I hope we get to see Brandon and Jack form a relationship since they are both wanting to find their own gay Prince. Furthermore, they are the American equivalent being the President's son, so they can find their happily ever after with each other. Also I would like to see an epilogue where we get to see all couples in a couple of years and be at peace with their lives and see the nation have a hope for the future.
I just finished reading the entire seven book series and it was absolutely riveting. All the characters were fascinating and the various plots were intriguing and fast paced. I had a hard time putting a book down in order to catch some much needed sleep! The protocol and security measures needed to accomplish the many varied goals of the U.S. in any endeavor is mind boggling. The stress these men and women must live with on a day-to-day basis is unimaginable to the average citizen. We must, as a nation, give thanks to everyone who is in the government's employ. Without these selfless individuals our nation wouldn't be the great nation that it is. And we must not forget the brave men and women who serve in our military. Without them we would not be the America that we enjoy through their sacrifice and commitment to honor and country. This is a wonderful series I highly recommend. Kudos, John Simpson.
Wow, wow, wow. This is the seventh and final book in this series. I don't want to summarize the first six books, but here is a quick summary of book 7. Former president David Windsor, now the USA ambassador to Great Britain (his cousin is the king) is called into service with his husband, Shane, in Iraq in controlling ISIS and in Ukraine to control the Russian incursion. It is very timely in the events that are addressed in the book. I don't want to ruin the story for readers, but this is a terrific finale for these characters. I wish all of the books were this easy to read and review. The author, John Simpson, did a great job developing this series, and the highest complement is that I reread the books in the series and they remain fresh. Five stars from me. This is a must read series!
