A professional snowboarder. A novice skier. An inevitable collision.
Anders Vik is a force on the slopes and he knows it. World number one. Countless endorsement deals. Looks to match. Banished by his coach to a local ski resort, he spends his days losing himself boarding and in numerous women. But when she crashes into his world he's not sure which will change his life more. The wait for his name to be cleared, or her.
College senior Elena Espinosa plays by the rules. Work hard. Study harder. Rely on no one but herself. Coerced by her best friends, she reluctantly tags along on the final trip during winter break. For Elena, novice skier is an understatement. She never dreamed a lesson on the bunny slope would send her hurtling towards her destiny. Nor did she imagine it would come in the form of a blue-eyed Nordic God.
She isn't looking for love. He doesn't do commitment. But what burns between them is so strong it threatens to melt the polar ice caps. What happens when two different worlds collide?

CJ Martín spends the majority of her days daydreaming, procrastinating, and longing for the day when she can quit her day job and write full time.
She loves all things romance and is a sucker for a happily-ever-after. She also loves traveling, yoga, avocados, and music. She has about a million and one playlists on Spotify that are as random as her personality.
She lives in Pennsylvania with her sweet husband (Literally! He owns an ice cream shoppe!) and twelve year-old Jug dog, Albert, who is more spoiled than most humans.
One day she will move to Paris and eat all of the wine and cheese, but until then...she dreams.
"I can't help myself. I knew better. I fucking knew better. One taste of her wasn't going to be enough. My body burns for her. Craves her."
Overall, this was a cute and light romance novel. It was surprisingly well written considering it was from a debut author!
The hero, Vik, was sexy and broody (just how I like my book boyfriends) and the heroine, Elena, was very funny and very relatable. There was definitely huge amounts of sexual tension, but the whole push and pull between them got old. Another thing about this novel that really irked me was Viks nickname for Elena- Gigs; short for giggles. I'm sorry, but it was hard to take anything Vik said to or about Elena seriously when he called her Gigs. He clearly liked Elena and all, it's just that the nameGigs doesn't really evoke much passion or seriousness when heard.
This book was not really my cup of tea, but I can definitely see how other people enjoyed the book.
I wish nothing but the best for this author and I do look forward to reading her future work. :-)
I was given an ARC for an honest review. I rate this book 4.5 stars. It was a very cute, light, and fun read. This was an excellent debut novel! Right at the beginning of the book it mentioned two things that stood out to me and I knew I was in it for the win right then! My favorite movie, Dirty Dancing, and Craig's list (which I'm always freaking out over because hello Craig's List killer!).
I love that this book is focused mostly in the present tense, it doesn't dig deep into their past, I think that's what helps make this book a little different and unique.
Was it by a chance of fate that Elena goes on a winter break trip to Seven Pines and literally runs into Anders Vik, the cocky pro-snowboarder? Elena keeps her nose in her books so it's no wonder she has no idea who this boy is but she's going to quickly find out. It's as if there's some kind of force always pulling them to the same place. They start hanging out and soon Elena gets devastating news about school but Anders best friend, JJ, helps her get an internship at the ski resort, which results in her moving in with Anders while her friends all go back to college. They painfully try to remain just friends but you can cut the sexual tension with a butter knife! They finally start to get their act together (which is hot as hell) before a bit drama unfolds and it's back to square one for the couple. Elena goes off alone to graduate with her friends, but don't worry Anders isn't letting that stop them from their happily ever after!
I'm obsessed with most sports, but I don't watch extreme sports so I wasn't sure what to expect. OMG I LOVED Snowbound! CJ Martin has me wanting to take lessons from her HOT ALPHA character!
Anders Vik is a professional snowboarder who's a beast on the slopes. He's #1 in the world, has tons of endorsement deals, and sexy with his pick of any woman he wants. When he's set up by a rival, the scandal threatens to destroy everything he's worked so hard for, as his coach sends him to a local ski resort. He spends his time practicing, and manwhoring around while waiting for his hearing. His life is changed when a girl literally crashes into his world. Elena Espinosa is a college senior, and all around good girl. Her friends force her to come to a ski resort for a last trip on winter break. but she's nervous as she's never skiing in her life. When her first lesson on the bunny slope ends in injury, she comes face to face with Anders who looks like nordic god. She isn't looking for love, and he doesn't do relationships, but the instant spark is threatening to consume them.
I will say it again, I FREAKIN LOVED this story! The storyline is well written, and flowed perfectly. Character development is great, and the secondaries are so awesome, that I hope they get their own stories soon. There is well placed humor that had me cracking up. The character's instant spark threatened to burn up my kindle, which made the sexy scenes SMOKIN! CJ Martin's talented writing style had my complete attention from beginning to end, and I found myself needing more. I cannot wait to read more by her, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Snowbound by C.J. Martin was an experience.
It was funny, sweet, and the moments between Anders/Vik and Elena had me laughing, giggling, and swooning all at the same time.
Every moment between the two protagonists had me laughing and excited to see how it was going to turn out. While it was kind of predictable at times, Vik and Elena still had me rooting for these two dorks to stop fighting their feelings and realize their attractions toward each other.
Anders/Vik was a lot harder to like than Elena. He was… well… a dick. It took him so long to realize what a dick he was that I found myself annoyed with him for being such a dick.
Elena on the other hand was a sweetheart—making her easier to like. She was sweet and funny.
The scenarios between these two were scorching.
The side characters were hilarious and charming, making Snowbound a very charming and light read.
Overall, it was a cute book. I’m looking forward to see what CJ Martin will write next! She’s gotten herself a fan! :)
This was such a great story that sucked me in right away! From the start I enjoyed the character of Elena, she was really funny and sweet. And as the story went on, I fell in love with Vik with her! He has a tough exterior but I loved how he melted for Elena. These two find themselves in some interesting situations that really kept me on my toes. I was rooting for them the whole time I was reading and the sex scenes were hot. Vic… just damn. Elena is one lucky girl.
I’m not familiar with snowboarding, so it was fun to read. I was glad that the romance was the main plot and the sports aspect didn’t overpower it. This book had a lot of great supporting characters too, I can’t wait to read about them!

Snowbound by CJ Martin is one of my favorite books this year. I did not know what to expect and it blew me away...I could not put it down. Anders and hot Pro Snowboarder and Elena a beautiful college smart girl, completely opposite of each other. Elena learning how to ski crashes into Anders and it starts from there. This book has it all happy, sad, romance, love and hot sex. I will not give spoilers in my reviews, so if you are looking for a wonderful page turning book, here it is. I did not want this book to end.
I am looking forward to more books by CJ Martin. She is an amazing author.
Snowbound is a standalone book by C.J. Martin. I absolutely loved this storyline and the twists and turns that had me hooked from beginning to end. The characters were well developed and had amazing chemistry. I absolutely fell in love with the relationship between Anders and Gigs....adorable couple!!! Looking forward to more books by this new author!!!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review...I LOVED this book!!! It had everything you want in a story...Elena, a soon to be college graduate, is visiting Seven Pines while on winter break. As she is trying to learn to ski she has an almost collision with a snowboarder. Vik is a pro snowboarder, a professional player and all around bad boy!! This chance meeting turns into a steamy, all consuming, once in a lifetime type of love....or does it???
This book was amazing. For a debut novel where there is usually some choppiness and other issues this book didn't have any of that at all! The characters had depth and they had chemistry that was through the roof. It flowed and just left you wanting more! I fell in love with these characters and I am sure you will too! I am so excited for this author and I cannot wait to see what is next for her!
The nights are drawing in and it is getting colder what better way to warm you up than a book like this. I cannot remember if i have ever or when i last read a book about a snowboarder/novice skier. So this book sounds like other romance books, but it is not so i tell you!!! It is refreshing and features two characters that could not be more different they are complete opposites. But when they literally collide together that is where the fun in this book starts. There is laughter, romance and sexyness and it is all wrapped up snug in this book. I needed to read this book it was a step away from my usual reads and i have missed the new adult college age characters. A snowy setting for this book but i was not left feeling frozen from it. Really enjoyed it hence my 5 stars :)
I easily fell in love with this book, I couldn't believe that this was Martín's debut novel. She delivered an amazing RomCom wrapped up in two likable characters. I liked Elena from the first time she was introduce. She's relatable, witty and I felt like I was reading me in a book! Elena and Vik will suck you in until the last page! The main characters weren't the only ones that made this book, Martín delivered secondary characters that have me begging for another novel.
I have to say that this is one of my favorite reads.
In Snowbound, we meet Anders Vik and Elena Espinosa. The two can't be any more different from each other, but somehow, through all the twists and turns, find what neither one was really looking for. Love.
I entered the fact that the virgin heroine was not your typical book virgin. She we your average realistic virgin. Not to mention that Vic Anders was written so deliciously.
I received a ARC in exchange for a honest review. 4.5* read. I was actually really surprised how much I fell in love with the story and characters as when I first started reading I didn't know what to expect. I love a good sports romance book but this sport was a new one for me so I was really intrigued with it before I even read it. This is Anders and Elena's story who are complete opposites. They first meet when Elena crashes into Anders and their relationship develops from then, although its not all smooth sailing (or snowboarding I should say). The chemistry between these two was enough to melt all the snow, and the story was enough to grip you throughout. A book full of drama, twists and turns, and a rollercoaster of a ride of emotions with characters you'll fall in love with. Great read.
Elena Espinosa takes a ski trip to Colorado for winter break - the only thing is, she doesn't ski! She wipes out on the bunny slope when a hot shot snow boarder cuts her off and sprains her ankle. The guy helps her out, and it turns out he's a competitive boarder named Anders Vic. Anders has been banished to the ski resort he's at, laying low while fighting a bogus drug charge. Things happen where Elena ends up with an internship at the resort and she's staying with Anders. She wants him, but he's a playboy and she's a virgin. Both characters were too immature for my taste and the book was kind-of tedious to finish.
This was such a sweet story! I loved the characters Anders and Elena. The storyline that leads them to their HEA was well written!, The friends that helped them find there way together were also a great part of the story!
I absolutely loved this book! Safe, HEA, adorable romantic comedy. Characters were lovable and well written. Excellent debut novel. I am hoping JJ and Erika get their story told. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is the second novel I've read by CJ Martin and I'm absolutely swept away on a tide of word bliss!! :) the story follows Vic Anders and Elena. Vic gets sent away after a scandal (he's an elite snowboarder) and while he's moping he runs into (literally) Elena, who is on her school break and skiing for the first time. These two couldn't be more different but when they get together it's magic. The cool, aloof "Anders" becomes this amazing guy as the book progresses...being with Elena, falling in love with her despite his better judgment and others telling him not to, mold him into this wonderful guy who loves with his WHOLE HEART! You see why he was the way he was, and you root for this pair as you watch Elena chip away at his armor and teach him to love. This is a delightful NA novel that will have you smiling and even screaming at your kindle at parts well until the last page. In fact I feel like begging CJ Martin to write a follow up novella or extended epilogue where you get to see them get married, watch him win the x games, Olympic, and basically get a even more magnificent HEA!! Thank you CJ Martin for these wonderful characters that make you fall into their worlds with every word!
Looks like a YA read by the cute cover, so I was expecting a sweet romance, something fun. Guess this one sentence in the blurb should have been a clue: "...he spends his days losing himself boarding and in numerous women."
Cursing overload and the main squeeze being a self-professed "manwhore" kept me from enjoying this read. A great cover but the pages didn't meet my expectations. Definitely NOT a YA read.
The beginning was rough. Anders seemed like a real jerk, but the story didn’t cross any cheating lines. The romance was really good and the story kept me wanting to read more
This is my first read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I love a sports romance add in a cocky alpha male and a shy heroin and it had me hooked. Great character depth and story line. Great read
Vik enjoys the rewards of being a top athlete--endorsement deals, snow bunnies, celebrity status. But one thing he doesn't like is being sent away while his name is cleared of something he did not do. With plenty of time in his hands, Vik continues to do what he does best--snowboard and women.
Elena is spending her last winter break with her friends at a ski resort before starting her internship hours before graduation. However, Elena doesn't ski, so she finds herself facing the Bunny Slope and failing miserably at it. The upside: looking into the eyes of the rude guy who saved her and having to keep away from the slopes because of an ankle injury. But her luck soon turns for the worst (or so it seemed!) when her internship falls through, leaving her with no option but to stay at the ski resort to complete her internship requirement while sharing an apartment with Vik.
What I enjoyed the most about this story was the way C.J. Martín brought Vik and Elena together. On the surface these two seemed like an unlikely pair, but once you get to know them you come to understand how well they complemented one another. From the moment they met, you could see that there was something there to build upon. They are both independent, hard-working individuals out to prove to themselves and others that they are more what they appear to be.
It helped too that they shared a connection too. Granted, initially it was their physical attraction for one another that brought them together (and what amazing chemistry these two shared!). But as the story progressed and they got the opportunity to share more about themselves, that physical attraction turned into something more. I enjoyed their candid moments, their flirty banter and their bickering. They brought out the best in one other and soon I was cheering them on to get their issues sorted out.
If you enjoy a romance that's both fun and sexy, then you will enjoy Snowbound. The characters were fun and interesting to get to know and their story had a fantastic mix of humor, emotions and heat. All in all, a very enjoyable read!
