Arri had been abused and picked on all his life. Born a runt, and then maturing into an omega, he was cast out of his pack. Figuring he’d not find another pack willing to take him in, he struggled to make a life for himself in the human world. If he didn’t have bad luck, he had no luck at all. Jobs were hard to come by, and he wasn’t able to keep them for long, his omega empathy causing humiliating meltdowns. He’d been robbed, mugged, and nearly raped too many times to count. Arri’s wolf was fundamentally broken, with no way to emerge, or protect him, finally withdrawing deep within him and remaining silent. Then, a day came when things changed. Answering yet another employment ad, he was stunned to find the source of the advertisement was a beta wolf, then was shocked further when he was presented before the alpha of the Woodlynn pack. He’d heard rumors about this pack, the alpha considered one of the strongest on the continent. He believed the rumors after meeting the large male. Arri’s silent wolf had awakened, whispering to him, calling the alpha, mate, which was ridiculous. Alphas didn’t mate with lowly omegas. Especially male omegas, even though Arri was perfectly capable of giving an alpha pups, or so he’d been told by the old ex-beta he’d befriended. But then again, male omegas were rare, and thought little of, viewed as weak, considered unnatural. So, he would ignore his wolf, do his job, and keep his head down, not causing Alpha Dryden any cause to fire him. *~*~*~* Dryden knew there was something different about the assistant his beta, Vann, had brought to him. He was human, yet he smelled of wolf. But not a scent Dryden had ever experienced before. Vann hadn’t seemed to notice, though Dryden suspected his beta was still angry at Dryden insisting on a human assistant. How could he tell his beta he’d felt an uneasiness in his pack, a danger that he couldn’t put his finger on, and didn’t want to trust any pack-mates to handle his affairs? As time passed, his instincts that something was wrong within his pack grew, along with the certainty that Arri was not what he seemed. It was when Dryden was visiting another pack, tremulous negotiations for an alliance in the works, and Arri was attacked, that the truth came out. Dryden’s assistant was an omega wolf. And not just any omega, but a Fae Omega, which would be the reason Dryden hadn’t known. Omega wolves were rare, and most packs banished them for their weaknesses. But a Fae Omega was unheard of, most believing them myths. The Fae had died out a long time ago, and for an omega wolf to be born with Fae blood was incredible. But that wasn’t Dryden’s biggest problem. The moment Arri had shifted, Dryden’s wolf went into the blood-mate fever, the need to claim the omega the only thing he was capable of thinking about. But to claim Arri, Dryden would have to fight the alpha of Arri’s home pack, and he wasn’t sure he could win. And, then there was the unknown threat within his own pack that he still needed to figure out.
CR Guiliano has been an avid reader since the tender age of four. She discovered gay erotic romance and was so inspired by the sultry, yet touching romances that she added it to her growing genre of writing. She also writes fantasy, paranormal and scifi.
"I have to quiet the voices in my head somehow." She says with a laugh. Many a night she has been awakened by those voices, only to feverishly write down the gist of their clammering so she can flesh out (sometimes literally lol) the story later at a more respectable hour.

When I read the blurb for this book, I felt that the whole story had been told, with only minor details left to fill up. I was very annoyed by this fact.
Now that I have finished it, I see that the book had a lot more to offer than the blurb said. But I still would have liked a little mystery in the blurb, to entice me into reading it more.
I LOVED this! Absolutely adored this!!! Being a hardcore romance lover, this book tugged all the strings my romance heart had to be tugged. I adored Arri, was so hurt when he was suffering through all that abuse. I loved Dryden, his strong personality. I loved Vann and the twin betas too. All the secondary characters were so interesting, even Massey.
The wolf world seemed familiar to me, in that different things were from different paranormal (vampire and werewolf) books I have read before. It was interesting to see all of that together in one book, with only wolves as the stars.
I sooo want to read the further books if there are any. Well the end specified that there is DEFINITELY more to come, so I can't wait to get them.
I had two issues with it :- 1. There were many typing mistakes, so I felt that the book could have been better edited. Plus there were about two instances where Vann's and Dryden's names were interchanged, making my head turn trying to assure myself nothing catastrophic had happened in the pack hierarchy. 2. I wanted more of the romance, it felt too hurried. They fought with the enemy and won and bonded (with of course a lot many things happening in between). Yes, it would have taken them some time to fall in love with each other (even though they had both gotten under the other's skin), which they specified in the epilogue. But I wanted to read about the care and doting on Arri that Dryden would have done. I wanted to read about him wooing Arri, and falling in love with him. In short, I wanted the story to be detailed.
Despite these misgivings, I am giving the book five stars, because I absolutely loved this world and the protagonists and the cute romance between them. I am definitely rereading it very soon, and maybe many more times to come!:-) And that, is not an easy feat to manage. Well, not really that difficult, I am a sucker for good romances and easily find books that I would love to reread!;-) I am going to stalk the author to keep track of the next books. ;-)

Where do I start? Clumsy prose, terrible dialogue, easily avoided word errors (domiNANT and dominATE are two different words, but dominate is used in place of dominant almost constantly, as just one example). The story is breathtakingly obvious, there's no room for guesswork, and the poor little - little - small - weak - tiny - omega is driven away from his pack, sob, who always hated and mistreated him except he's an omega male, which means super-special empath powers. Somehow the old pack......doesn't notice this, kicks him out, and the poor guy ends up homeless and on the road. But then! He's hired as a human assistant (whyyyyyyy can't anyone tell he's an Omega and a shifter, HE can tell shifters from humans, but it doesn't work with him because magic or something) to the Alpha of a werewolf pack that lives in one house. And he's not supposed to know they're shifters. Right. There's a clash with Arri's old pack and whoosh, he shifts and OMG OMEGA AND HE'S THE ALPHAS TRUE MATE! There's a lot of twaddle in here about blood-mate fever and true mates and apparently you can't have baby shifters with any one but your true mate, a fact almost immediately contradicted by the existence of a child with parents who aren't mates and until you find your true mate you pretty much screw anything not nailed down. And then there's terribly written sex, which made me sad I was reading this on a Kindle because I couldn't toss it across the room. The Alpha turns out to be double super special and the Omega does too and there's the introduction of the Fae because he's a Fae Omega even though the Fae died out! Not that this has anything to do with the plot. Most of these bizarre revelations of special awesomeness or shifter culture are stuffed in as an afterthought and never mentioned again and sometimes outright contradicted. Super special Fae Omega Arri gets knocked up, the end. Thank God.
Oh, my Lord. I have a lot of tolerance for crummy Alpha/Omega shifter stuff, but 99% of Teen Wolf fanfiction is better than this. I am utterly awestruck. How can a book this bad be published? Oh, also - it's not even FORMATTED RIGHT.
If the world of shifters were real, hands-down I'd be an alpha. I have this ingrained desire and need within me to protect those who can't protect themselves. Probably part of the reason I'm very often attracted to shifter stories involving omegas, who are usually the weaker members and get treated poorly. So it was no surprise that my heart went out to Arri immediately, and I wanted to fix the first twenty miserable years of his life. Except for Burnett, the ancient ex-beta of their pack, who did his best to watch over Arri.
It made me so angry that the night after Arri shifts for the first time, his alpha banishes him from the pack for being too weak. If it wasn't for Burnett, Arri wouldn't even have known he was an omega. Now he has to make his way, alone, in the human world without the comfort of pack bonds. Yep, you guessed it, Arri made my heart bleed. I was happy for him when he got the job with the Woodlynn pack, even though they all thought he was human. It was so cute to see Arri's reaction to Dryden, the absolutely gorgeous and powerful alpha of Woodlynn. Even more entertaining was the fact that Dryden couldn't get a handle on the little human who smelled like wolf. *grins*
Arri is learning a lot in this pack - particularly who is loyal, and who has some resentment toward Dryden. When Arri stumbles across a plot that involves his former alpha and pack attacking Woodlynn, Arri doesn't know how he can let Dryden know without risking his own secrets. Oh, my heart hurt for how terrified Arri was when he realized Dryden and three of his betas were taking him along on a meeting at his former alpha’s pack house. It just about broke my heart to see how terrified Arri got when his former alpha-heir tried to attack him, again. Of course it also led to Dryden going into blood-mate fever and realizing Arri was his true mate. Oh, my heart was happy for Arri. So happy for him to finally be loved and cared for the way he deserved!
I loved every moment of this story! It was everything I wanted it to be, and the mpreg was the icing on the cake. Dryden is exactly the kind of alpha Arri needed, and not only that, but Dryden is a matriarchal alpha (which most don't know), meaning his mother was also a true alpha, so Dryden has extra abilities and powers. He and Arri, a Fae Omega, have a very powerful mating, and who can predict what their pup will be able to accomplish? Thank you, CR, I'm completely in love with this world and its characters.
There were some parts where the hurt/comfort was really well done. I liked those parts. Other parts… not so much.
Unfortunately the author chose to make these shifters all have sex with each other as often as possible, except of course the innocent virgin omega (why couldn’t the little dude have some fun too, before he met the big bad alpha??)
There is no cheating, since Dryden, the alpha, and Arri, the omega, were not together at the time Dryden screws the entire pack, but it didn’t sit well with me (nor with Arri, who was in the room next to it).
There is also a comment that there's lots of children running around that no one really knows the father of.
I'm torn on this one - I liked the story and will definitely read the next one (no real cliffhanger but it's clear that another book is coming). But a few things took away from the overall awesome for me: a few editing errors (no biggie, it happens). But there was such a slow build and so much that happened in fade to black (not allusions to sex) and months go by that are apparently when the MCs got to know each other. As a result of this, it seemed like the only thing that brought these two together was the uncontrollable mating instinct - not genuine feeling. And then it happened again later in the book (the fade over when the relationship was developing). The biggest drawback for me was the relations with many many other people (not cheating but after they met, including a detailed scene with someone else). Adding that to the fade to black during the relationship building and it just seemed like there was no there there as Oprah would say.
The mating scene was hot though.
Mixed bag for me. Worth a read for others to decide for themselves for sure!
Couldn't finish. The entire book reads like a plot summary. Every single emotion and action is told to readers and never shown. Arri and everyone else are static, one dimensional characters without any redeemable qualities or reason to root for them or understand why they're bad/good guys. There's an overload of epithets, which was my first clue the author had a lot to learn. Then there's the poor editing. Minor mistakes here and there. But I was really thrown when a character felt the need to "slack" their lust and then they were "slacking" it. It would have been funny if I weren't in such a disappointed mood with the story. Finally, because everything is essentially a summary of events and nothing is fleshed out, I couldn't finish. There's absolutely no chemistry between the main characters, because they meet and things are rushed along and instead of seeing them fall for each other, we're simply told this is how they feel. Sorry, but if an author has to constantly tell me how characters feel, there's zero impact to those feelings.
If I could give the story less than one star, I would. I paid money for this. That's my own bad. I got so excited by the summary. The premise hits all my favs. Wolves, omegas, potential mpreg. I was so excited to read this. I overlooked my initial unease with how bad the writing was because I thought my enthusiasm over the premise could make up for it. Finally it became too much.
Well, there’s no need to “re-cap” this book, the “blurb” does enough to tell you pretty much exactly what’s going to happen.
But… I did really like this book. There were times when I was pretty annoyed that Arri didn’t just ‘fess up to being a wolf, especially when it became clear that Dryden might be in danger. I also got tired of Arri being involved in a dangerous situation. I also wanted the couple to have more time together, I felt a bit cheated that we only got a small glimpse of them as a happy couple expecting a baby for a moment before the book ends.
But… it was a fun mpreg book, full of angsty omega self-esteem issues and lusty alpha mating drives.
So if you’re looking for some hot shifter mpreg action I recommend giving this a go.
Writing mechanics aren't bad. Plot outline either. However there are too many deficits (IMO) for me to recommend.
The primary MC is just too stupid. He doesn't just make mistakes or act poorly due to lack of confidence. He does things that can only be explained by utter imbecility. There are a lot of characters to keep track of yet almost all are interchangeable in personality. The villains are cliche and there's no sense of actual danger. The sex scenes are boring.
One of those generic stories that's easy to read and leaves you satisfied. Nothing revolutionary here, but the omega has a backbone, the alpha isn't a meathead, and their chemistry is more than pheromones.
This should be 3 stars because the world-building is meh and I don't like mpreg, but, seriously, it's so rare to have an alpha/omega story in which the slow burn actually works that I'm adding a star just for being pleasantly surprised.
Most shifter books everyone understands their place in the hierarchy of the pack. In this one not so much. Arri was an omega, a rare male omega. He had been banished by his former alpha. I loved the character of Arri not so much Dryden. He had sex with to many other people, I mean constantly. I know he did not know Arri was his mate but it still bothered me. I did have a question of what happened to Arri's parents? Why did they leave? I hope this is answered in future books of the series. I think this is a nice start to a new series and will be buying more books from this author.
I liked it, but the majority of their relationship is off-page. Most of what we read is about each of the main characters alone, or with someone else, but very little of the book is actually devoted to putting the MCs together and them getting to know each other. As another reviewer said, it makes it seem like their relationship is all about the mating urge and nothing else. Kind of kills the romance aspect of a romance story. *sigh* On the other hand, I liked the characters and the setting, and everything. This book just seems to end right where it should really be getting started.
A quick easy read that was a nice way to spend a lazy afternoon. An interesting cast of characters, and now I just have to wait for the next book so I can see what will happen next.
Well, I will have to say that the ending took this story from 3.5🌟 to 4🌟 for me. While the story itself needs editing, it isn't as bothersome as other ebooks I have come across. In addition, the world building and character development could use a bit more to it. Especially with all the True Alpa, Double Alpa and Matriarch Alpa lingo thrown around. I have to assume they are all the same thing since it all referred back to Dryden.
I did like however the double dealing and back stabbing, which I hope is expanded upon in the series. With that said, I also hope the the author will give us more info into the world the characters live in and the characters themselves.
Omega Born is exactly the kind of omega shifter story I love. Arri is an omega who was banished from his pack because he was weak, even though that is the nature of an omega before his first shift. The alpha’s son is a terrible bully, and that is part of Arri’s problem. Even after Arri’s first shift he isn’t sure if his wolf is viable and whether he can control it. Humans think Arri is one of them because no one can sense his wolf. Confusion reigns when trouble comes up. There is a kidnapping, betas who don’t have the pack’s safety at heart, and someone wants Arri as their mate. Dryden knows there is something unexpected and special about his assistant. He smells like a wolf yet isn’t a shifter. Or is he? This is the first in a series, with plenty of secrets, revelations, shocking truths and a pack that could be destroyed or strengthened coming up in the next books. If you enjoy shifter stories, then Omega Born is the book for you. It is beautifully written, with superb world building, character development that leads to stunning plot lines, romance and plenty of story twists to please any reader.
This was .. hm. Uneven. Most of the book had a sedate pace but then it just exploded into james bond for shifters and when we got to the steamy scene it was too graphic and kind of grotesque for my taste.
The two parts, the style, didn't fit together. It just left me confused as in wtf did I just read. Like they couldn't decide which type of book they meant to write.
Also this pair was very distant and didn't connect or didn't really interact and then they're just suddenly a couple.
There are spelling and grammar errors but despite this, the plot moves along nicely. The action is pretty well paced ramps up from about halfway. The MCs were likable, very different and complemented each other. The secondary characters also were well thought out. The baddies were bad ;)
I'd read the next book if it came along and fitted my needs in a challenge.
Sometimes when I’m doing a review I have a hard time knowing where to start. I love shifter stories. They are my absolute favorite genre at the moment and I was all set to love this book.
Arri is an omega…a wolf so badly thought of in his pack that the day he comes of age, he’s cast out and basically told to run or die. So he runs. He’s so sure that no pack could possibly want him that he decides he will make a life among the humans.
Of course, that’s when he runs in to the most powerful alpha of all, entirely by accident.
Dryden knows he has some problems in his pack and that’s why he insisted in bringing in his assistant from the outside, human world. Only Arri isn’t human.
There’s a lot going on in this book. From the blurb I was a little worried that it would be too much, but in the end, it was fine. Twists and turns that are meant to be surprising but really aren’t. I knew every plot twist that was coming and that was a little disappointing.
The writing is good. The characters are interesting although, I really wanted to see Arri get a little more backbone sometimes. And I always like to see the Alpha be a sweetheart to his mate. The side characters were all very one-dimensional, although at least Vann had a fiery personality that I admired.
There’s nothing specifically wrong with this story, besides the predictability, but nothing about it jumps out at me either. It’s a nice read, kept me entertained for an hour or two, but that’s about it.

Title: Omega Born Author: C.R. Guiliano Publisher: CR Guiliano ISBN: B015EQAM8O Buy Link: http://www.amazon.com/OMEGA-Born-CR-G... Reviewer: Teresa Fallen Angel Blurb: Arri had been abused and picked on all his life.
Summary: All Arri's life he had been told he was worthless and unloved. Even his own parents deserted him to the hands of his pack. HE lived in fear of the alpha's son Baston who physically and emotionally abused him as often as he could. The final act was when Arri was thrown out of the pack after his first shift leaving him on his own. The only hope left was when Burnett, a nine hundred old shifter, who told him that s an Omega he had an Alpha mate somewhere. Arri's friendship with Burnett gave him hope that he could find his place in the world, but he never expected to find it in a nearby pack. Dryden knew that there was a threat to his pack so he decided to hire a human as his assistant, Arri, not realizing what he was. I was fascinated how the entire pack, including Dyrden, ever thought Arri was anything besides human even when he faintly smelled like wolf. Even with that, Dryden couldn't understand why he couldn't stop protecting and wanting Arri. From the very start, this book was a wild ride full of unexpected surprises. It is my hope that it is just the beginning of Dyrden and Arri's story!
A very simple plot and story. The book is as the blurb describes it with some details excluded and a bit more fleshed out. Arri was the sterotypical weakish omega. He was considered weak by his birth pack and abused a goid amount of his life, his parents abandoned him and after his first shift he's kicked out if the pack. He wanders, going from job to job till he sees an ad perfect for his skills set. Merts the beta (from a rival pack) and is brought to meet the alpha. Both believe Arri to be human and he diesnt correct that assumption. But when times come Arri is unwittingly brought back to his birth pack and all hell breaks loose.
The concept of omegas and alpha and their traits and biological attributes was the most fascinating subject of this book besides for rivalry between the two packs and treatment Arri sufffered. I liked learning the limited information given to readers about the omegas, betas, and alphas. I also wished there was a bit more romance. The relationship development was almost nonexistent, it just felt like Arri and Dryden passing acquaintances and one wiff in wolf form forced them together. I know it was explained in the book how mating fever occurred and what would happen but I just felt it didn't feel alright.
Overall, this is one of the better omega mpreg books I've read. It has an actual plot, the characters are well-drawn and the author manages to avoid instalove. Alpha Dryden and Omega Arri come together gradually; a good portion of the book details Arri's wretched life on his own as he makes his way to the Woodlynn Pack and its Alpha, Dryden. There are several indications throughout the book that this is the beginning of a series, and the ending makes it a certainty. I would like to read a sequel in which Dryden's grumpy lead beta, Vann, finds his true mate.
My main complaint in regard to this book is the lack of even cursory editing. Basic proofreading would have corrected errors such as "scrapping" instead of "scraping", or "gapping" instead of "gaping" in addition to the usual typos. And hopefully someone would have caught the glaring misuse of words that obviously didn't mean what the author thought they meant. There were a surprising number of these mistakes, but my favorite was the use of "palpitate" instead of "palpate". No physician "palpitates" a patient's abdomen. Unfortunately, errors like these throw the reader right out of the story.
Arri is the punching bag of the packs Alpha heir, Baston, and his friends. When he finally turns for the first time Alpha Sbrel banishes him. After leaving the pack he goes from job to job trying to build a new life in hiding as a human in the human world. When he finally gets a new job with room and board he thinks it might finally be happening until the person who hired him takes him to the Alpha of the neighboring pack.
Alpha Dryden finds it curious Arri smells like a wolf, but is human. When Dryden takes Arri back to his old pack for pack negotiations and Baston attacks him Arri panics and changes into his wolf before escaping into the woods. Once Dryden smells Arri's wolf he knows he's his fated mate and now must fight in a challenge with Baston's father to claim him.
The story was great. While I wish I connected more deeply with the MC's I did connect with them on a basic level. More so Arri than Dryden.
The story is mostly in Arri's POV. The angst level is low-medium. No editing issues that I recall. I'm definitely getting the next book in this series.
I really loved this book. Arri, an omega is banished from his pack for being weak and because the Alpha's son wants him. Alone and on the streets, he tries to make his way but his wolf is lost and he doesn't know what to do. A chance at a new job gives him a little hope, but the job is for Dryden, the strongest Alpha there is as his assistant, and Arri isn't sure he'll be safe. No one can sense his wolf though, they think he is human. Dryden wants a human assistant because he senses something going on in the pack. Since He can't sense Arri's wolf all is well until he has a meeting with Arri's old Alpha, and Arri shifts. Dryden knows he's his mate and a challenge is called because the Alpha's son wants Arri.
Dryden wins the challenge, killing both the Alpha and his son. But there is trouble brewing. Arri is kidnapped, deceitful Beta's abound, and the secrets could nearly destroy Dryden and Arri.
I cannot wait for the next story...lots of surprises are in store for the pack and it's members!!
I give this book a 3.5 stars because there were part that I like and there were part that I feel that was it really necessary to put in. I love the chemistry between Arri and Dryden until the end but in the begin you can that there was going to be some work, which is fine because what relationship you don't have to put in effort to make it work. I do feel sorry for Arri and the abuse that he have to go through but I feel that there were time when he can just up and leave because of all the things he was going through but at the same time that was the place that he was born and its hard to leave the place that you grew up even if the people there don't care about you at all. I feel that another book is coming out because there was a bit of a cliffhanger in the end and I wouldn't mind reading it because I like this book but it won't be on the top of my list to read.
