I live in sunny Florida where I spend my days taxiing the family to various places while jotting down the many crazy thoughts inside my head. I enjoy a freelance career writing for several magazines sharing some of my interesting viewpoints on life and those around me. I can usually be found on my back porch watching the squirrels chittering at the birds while enjoying a cigar, a scotch, and the many characters that talk to me inside my head.

Quick & fast this chance meeting at a coffee shop turns into a romance. Working through her angst of meeting someone she might never see again, Nikki faces her fears like a champ.

Fangirls: Nikki is the beginning of a new series by Robbie Cox. Definitely something I know a bit about, fangirling. Once I find myself intrigued by the work of an author, I have to get my hands on everything that author has done.

This first book has Nikki Sanford unintentionally runs into an author at the local coffee shop. After sharing a table and conversation for several hours, they part ways. But she is still intrigued with the conversations from the evening before. She finds herself at Barnes and Noble bookstore and is looking for his books. She finds him and starts reading. Then she finds it... she knows where she can see him again. His website is listed in his book and on his website, a list of upcoming events. Does she dare?

This story was a great quick read. It really kept me engaged and wondering what would happen next. Great characters and storyline. I can't wait to read the rest of this series if it is as good as this one.

The 'Fangirls' series was one I snatched up as soon as I heard about it, and I am so glad I did. These are short, sweet, and quick reads about, well, Fangirls.
Nikki is a hard working business woman needing a quiet place to work and runs into Theo, a fantasy writer, at a coffee shop. They spend hours conversing and sipping coffee instead of working. Nikki then does what all good fangirls do and did some research on her new author friend.
Nikki's character is totally relatable and well developed. The story is paced perfectly for a quick read and leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy.

Fangirls: Nikki is the first book I have read by Robbie Cox. Nikki is a novella and a very quick read, I read the entire book in less than an hour. My only "complaint" is that I want it to be longer, I want to know what happens with Nikki and her new friend, although it's not a cliffhanger. This story flows very nicely and isn't choppy in the least. If you're looking for a short quick read, pick this one up. You won't be disappointed!

The only bad thing about this story was.....not long enough. I wanted MORE! I loved Nikki and her story as a Fangirl. ♡ I got to the end and was like....no way that's the end. Sigh. Great story about her and her new found love for both the author she meets and a new genre for herself. I wanted to know more of the story between them and how things progress.

I received the book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Cute story. Short. Very short. A little too much introspection for the main character, but enjoyable nonetheless.

This book was a really good story about Nikki Sanford discovering something other than work, and realizing that she can throw caution to the wind once in awhile and enjoy herself.
While at a local coffee shop trying to find a place to complete her end of quarter reports, Nikki asks to share the table of a strange young man (Theo) reading a book on mermaids and faeries. They begin conversing and no work gets completed for either. This is completely out of character for the straight and steady Nikki . The next day she gets little work completed because of thinking about Theo all day. This is the beginning of her fangirling. A too short feel good story, I would really like a follow up on Theo and Nikki to see where this beginning has taken them.
