Michael Card (born April 11, 1957) is an American Christian singer-songwriter, musician, author, and radio host from Franklin, Tennessee. He is best known for his contributions in contemporary Christian music, which couple folk-style melodies and instrumentation with lyrics that stem from intensive study of the Bible. Since his debut in 1981, he has sold more than 4 million albums and has written 19 No. 1 singles.He has also authored several books, including Gold Medallion Book Award winner A Sacred Sorrow.

This book, along with the accompanying music, is a treasure! It has been an integral part our Christmas celebration since 1991 when it came to our family as a gift. The insights into Christ’s incarnation combined with such stirring words are unmatched. I sat down and read it through again today and was moved all over again. God’s Promise has been fulfilled and the future is certain!!
Not sure if there are many copies left of this little book. There was only one on Amazon when I bought it for a friend recently. Well worth finding!!!

This is a very short book; however, it is a good little devotional to have in regards to the birth of Christ. The author gives one some good thoughts to ponder as one reflects on the Advent season as it has been traditionally practiced. A keepsake for me for sure.
