Have you ever found yourself somewhere and wondered how exactly you got there? That’s me right now. I’m Josie and I’m marrying my best friend in two days - I can’t quite believe it’s happening. Life before was simple, all I had to worry about was me.
Then Jack walked into my life and everything changed. I fell for this American charmer who challenged my stubbornness, protected my insecurities and made me question what I wanted out of life. I didn't realise I was broken until he slowly fixed me and I didn’t realise what we had was worth fighting for until he showed me. Everyone has their own story. This is ours.
KA Hobbs lives with her husband in Essex. When she isn’t lost in a book or creating one, she loves to cook, swim, colour and shop. Her happiest times are always when she is surrounded by family and friends or watching Cinderella which some might say she is a little obsessed with. She is a little obsessed with the Tudors and would love to go back to that period in time.
One day, while watching TV, a scene came to her, completely out of the blue. She could see the scene unfolding, could picture the characters so clearly. She couldn't get to her laptop quick enough and spent hours writing not only that scene, but lots of others too.
She will happily admit to being grumpy when she doesn’t get to write, she loves her characters and spending time listening to what they have to say.

The story of Jack and Josie. The final book in the Connected Series. *Cue the sniffles* But seriously what a pair!? Jose has known nothing but heartbreak with her lack of support from her family, and heartbreak from a number of years ago. She has built walls so tightly around herself, mainly to protect herself from anymore pain.
But by no means is Jose the shy retiring type. No, this girl is smart, sassy, sexy and generally bloody hilarious. I officially love this girl, and poor Jack for having to handle this fiery red head!
Excerpt: People confuse me not standing for people's shit as being angry. They confuse my straight talking as being rude. I'm not rude, I just have a low tolerance for bullshit.
Jack, oh Jack. He's the level headed, sensible one. But also equally filthy and obviously the perfect fit for Jose. But would he be able to break the walls Jose had built in order to prevent her from anymore pain? Could she see him as anything more than fun?
Excerpts: I told you, I'd fight for you, I told you I'd wait for you and I meant it, because I honestly don't want anyone else. You're my Red, you're the reason I smile every single day....
The pairs explosive sex life is enough to melt anyone's underwear lol. KA hobbs has once again mixed emotions, (from ugly crying to jumping for joy - not to mention sheer frustration!) as well as seriously sexy page turning antics...
Excerpt: I just know you, you're a filthy, filthy man. It's my favourite thing about you.
But the change in this book compared to the other books in the series was the past and present throughout. The was both Jack and Jose re ole that the time they spent together, why they are the people they were, their history etc....all the while seeing snippets from the characters we have kept in our hearts from the very beginning.
I got so emotional reading this last book....nooooo!! Wails Susan as she refuses to turn to the last 1% of the book and knowing the end is near....but of course I couldn't resist. I'll just keep the kleenex handy whilst I deal with my heartbreak over an awesome end to an incredible series...
Excerpts "Are you ready for the next chapter, Red?"

The sixth instalment of the Connected Series…..It’s time for Josie and Jack to be heard, to have a voice.
Josie and Jack. So complete opposites. But they are drawn to each other. The chemistry is there. The need, want and desire are there. The instant connection is there. Like all new couplings, Josie and Jack are having a blast. Dinners, dates, outings, plenty of laughs and hot awesome sex!!
But what happens when one wants more? What happens when those three little words ‘I love you’ that everyone wants to hear are said?
What happens when one of Josie’s biggest secrets is revealed? What happens when Jack wants more?
Will Josie be willing to open her guarded heart? Will Jack be able to ever break Josie’s walls down? Will Josie ever allow Jack in, or will her secrets from her past keep her hostage forever?
You’ll just have to read Fixed to find out.
Again KA has delivered an absolute brilliant read. We loved it from beginning to end. We loved the heart felt emotion felt throughout. We absolutely loved the banter between the characters often finding ourselves laughing our butts off. And we absolutely cheered and loved that all our characters were back together again. But with Fixed, we found a uniqueness to it which for us as readers/bloggers worked perfectly. You see this is written in past and presence tense and from both Josie and Jacks POV. It flowed beautifully, not once was it confusing or hard to understand. It was complex but so easy to follow. Definitely a beautifully executed novel.
To KA Hobbs. Thank you again for another brilliant instalment to the Connected Series. It’s heart-warming, heart breaking and downright sinfully sexy and deliciously dirty. We applaud you.
I am so in love with this very down to earth and believable series, the characters are very real and relatable.
Having read about Doug and Sophie and Miley and Johnathan, this latest instalment deals with the younger generation of the group. Having read about Harry and Megan's relationship in Unexpected we learn about how their best friends Josie and Jack finally get together.
This book flashes between the past and present and features all of our favourite characters.
Josie's back story and why she is so reluctant to get into a relationship is heartbreaking but with Jack's help she slowly gets Fixed.
I loved catching up with all the Connected Gang in this book and seeing their relationships develop and grow.
A really feel good series of books that I will always hold close to my heart.
Loved reading about Josie and Jack in Unexpected book 4 so I was so over the moon to hear they were getting the own story. Jack and Josie hit it off soon as they laid eyes on each other Jack fell in love but Josie was holding back. It goes from past to present so to get an insight from where it began. Through all the drama and banter ( very dirty and vocal couple ) they got through the ups and downs to be together forever. Happy to see the gang back all together as well.
I was given this book in turn for an honest review.
Jack loves everything about Josie and he makes it his life mission to show her how amazing she truly is. Josie wants Jack, she wants a future. Their journey to happiness isn’t an easy one. The best things in life never are.
KA Hobbs has a wonderful and brilliant talent for bringing a story to life. Although fiction based, her books have a very realistic feel to them. You can always find something in one of her stories you can relate too and she brings out every emotion you can think off.
With each book she brings you a new book boyfriend, each having their own unique trait you simply can't resist and a whole bunch of new book friends to love and adore.
Jack is a patient, loyal, caring, loving, honest, hilarious man and he is as hot as hell! If you think Harry was dirty, Jack takes dirty to a completely different level and what a level it is! I'd never refuse a night with this hot blooded alpha or his many talents.
Josie, I absolutely love Josie and she has to be my ultimate fictional best friend character. She is hilarious, honest, loving, caring, a rule breaker and above all else amazing! Her rapport with Harry is brilliant! She reminded me of myself to a degree; with her rule breaking and one to never follow traditions, leading the way for a whole new bunch of traditions and her sarcastically brilliant humour has you forever laughing out loud.
Josie and Jack are hilarious; together they are the perfect comedy duo; they are a comedy duo that is perfect for each other. They have a whole lot of love and strength to give and are the perfect match, bringing out the best in each other and making each other complete.
Fixed is a story of trust; learning to trust each other, learning to trust that the past is just the past and that your future isn't determined by it. Learning to let go and follow your heart, to seek the happiness you both want and deserve and that if your connection is strong and your paths are to always be entwined, no matter the pain, the heartache or the determination to push them away and not let them in, they won't give up and they will be by your side until you're ready to live again, to breathe again and to let your walls down trusting them to always be by your side no matter what. That you are worthy of love and they will show you how truly amazing you are.
It was great to have the whole connected series family together in one book. Having Harry, Jack, Josie and Megan back together was bittersweet, then throw in Doug, Sophie, Jonathan and Miley and the babies and you get the ultimate story of true family, true friendship, true love and absolute happiness. Without a doubt they are one huge family that look out for each other and will always be by each other’s side for the rest of their lives. One perfect happy family unit, I love the connected family!
Although Fixed could be read as a standalone it will give away details of the characters from the previous books and personally to fully enjoy and appreciate this series I highly recommend starting with the first book in the series, Doubt.
This series is packed full of romance, humour, suspense and many a hot moment!
5* Wow Jack and Josie... Where do I start?!? I have so much love for these two, they are that imperfect couple that you can’t help but root for because you appreciate how hard they had to work to get their HEA!
We met Jack and Josie for the first time in Unexpected (Harry and Megs’ story) and it was apparent from the get go that there was a spark between them but Josie was fighting some pretty big demons and wouldn’t allow Jack to get too close and Jack is so stubborn, so determined to break through Josie’s walls, to make her see what’s right in front of her that he refused to just sit there and allow her to shut him down. They are easily my favourite Connected couple, I just loved how they fought the demons to be together... And trust me when I say that the demons aren’t little insignificant things... They are huge things that will change a person, things that some people will never be able to rid themselves of! So that’s why I think that out of all of them these two are the ones that deserve that fairy-tale style HEA the most and I am so happy that they got to tell their story their way!
These characters are, quite simply put, EPIC. Josie’s sense of humour is wicked, there really is no other word to describe her, she will say anything that pops into her head and it doesn’t matter who is around either, I don’t think she knows the meaning of the word filter! She is hilarious though and has had me crying with laughter more times than I can count, I actually wont have a drink if I see that her and Harry are in the same room because I know if I do that it’ll be everywhere when I burst into laughter which I do every single time!! Jack is just as bad as she is though, so they really are perfect for each other in so many ways.
Fixed flits between the past and present... So you’ve got chapters that are showing you them as a couple now and others showing how they got there, this was one of my favourite things about Fixed, its great seeing them as this awesome couple who are perfect for each other but at the same time I wanted to see the jagged and broken pieces of them mend and heal so they could be that couple that I love! I just adore their story... All the ups and downs, twists and turns... Just all of it!
I well and truly fell down the rabbit hole with these two... And the weird thing about being in Jack and Josie’s version of Wonderland? I never wanted to leave, I didn’t want Fixed to end and I didn’t want to come back to reality, I was quite happy to sit there reading chapter after chapter watching their story unfold without a care in the world!!
Thank you KA Hobbs... Not just for Jack and Josie but for this whole series! They have all firmly cemented themselves in my heart, so thank you for sharing these characters and their stories with the world!
Firstly I would like to say thank you to ka Hobbs for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review to be published by Reading the Sheets book blog.
What's your favourite Disney character? I know what your going to say, Belle, Cinderella, Ariel? One of the popular ones? Well Josie loves Alice, and after you've read this book you will know that it's a perfect fit. Sometimes life isn't easy, you can't always take the rough with the smooth. You may even feel like you want to give up sometimes, and the crazy world surrounding you is against you and your goals, but having the faith to trust in someone and take that plunge down the rabbit hole is all it takes for Josie, and she couldn't be happier that she did.
We first meet Josie and Jack in 'unexpected', Harry and Megan's story, but this time the tables are turned and we finally see the love hate relationship that these guys love to share. Josie is a closed book, well, she is to everyone but her best friend Megan. She's had a pretty hard life. Her family want nothing to do with her, she had no real friends other than Megan and her other roommate Carmen and she suffered a great loss when she was younger that she's still trying to get over. Her closed off exterior would be enough to put off most guys, but when Jack meets the fiery red head, with her quick witted humour and a potty mouth that could rival his own, he's instantly smitten and declares war against Josie and her closed off heart. Determined he can make her see just how good they could be together if she just let down her walls and let him in.
This book is different to ka Hobbs usual work. It shows us the past and present. We see how their lives have become, but we also get to find out the difficult road they travelled to get there. Get ready for wit, charisma and sex by the shovel load. This is one steamy piece of action you do not want to miss out on.

So Jack & Josie - I first met them in Harry's story (Unexpected) and took a real liking to them so kind of knew what to expect from them - but this story dedicated to them was so much more than I expected!
They are both SO dirty - I thought Harry was bad, but Josie! A real filthy mare ;) She gave me some real laugh out loud moments throughout the story which earned me some funny looks on a train journey, ha!
I loved that we got to meet all the other Connected characters once again and they are so 'connected' that the story is so easy to read and connect with all the characters - I could actually imagine being friends with them in real life, in fact I would LOVE to be!
The one thing that brought my star rating down was that at points the story seemed to skip like there was something missing and I had to back and re-read, and also we find out at the end that Carmen has been dealing with something unspeakable but we don't find out what and it seemed a little rushed with just a mention (I hope we get to find out at some point!).
All in all though, a great ending to The Connected Series and I loved the little extras at the end! A filthy, funny, 4* read.
Personally I love this book and think it rounds the connected series off perfectly. I love how it goes from past to present walking us through Jack and Josie falling in love right up to getting married. I see a lot of Josie in myself so I could help but laugh at some of the stuff she came out with. I really really do love this book and I'm a little, well a lot sad to see the end even if it was great.
