"Mine!" One of the most powerful words in the human language, possession. Desperate need to hold onto what you love with every fiber of your being. Until Huck realizes in order to hold onto what he loves most he will have to let not only Becky go but a part of who he is, what he is, perhaps the best part. For Becky no matter where she has gone in the universe, no matter how many planets she set her wandering feet on, home wasn't a place, it was a who. Until her father and lifeline died. When a half evil alien presents himself demanding love and acceptance, Becky is determined to fight the hardest battle in her life. Home will become one powerful male, if Huck can be saved. There is no greater war at times, than the fight fought from within.

Born and raised in Ontario, C. L. Scholey developed her passion for writing through her love of reading books as a child. Her first book was contracted in Oct 2009 the very same month her first grand son was born. C. L. Scholey still lives in Ontario, in a rural community with her husband and daughter.

From the author:
Hello, I'm Connie! Now that we've met how about I tell you a little about me? I love to write, it's like having a super power.

I was born and raised in Ontario...yes I'm Canadian, no I don't live in an igloo, no I've never pet a polar bear, but I have run into a few black bears, seen wolves, moose, coyotes and I think there's a hundred pound squirrel in my attic.

I spend as much time as I can get away with looking for rocks in Bancroft. When I'm not in Bancroft I live in a small town, so people know me when they see me. Some ask me what I'm working on--some even ask me in a regular voice not a whisper.

I get bored easily, it's why one day I'll be working on assassins, the next Sci-fi, then Vikings, then vampires, then planning world domination--wait, what?

Moving on. I love animals and we have a dog, 120p mastiff. He's great with the kids and careful around them, but he'd run me over for a piece of bologna. Otherwise he loves us.

If you want to get to know me better join me on FB or twitter. Right now I need to change back into a mom, it's my best super power.

I loved it because the story was about a Tonan - Huck - who wanted to be on the winning side - with the Castians and Cobra -
It was fun to see a Tonan called "cupcake" and At the same time read about a woman -Becky - who knew how to deal with guys.
That made for a sweet and slow to build love story. In the end CL Scholey gave her best book from the series and I hope she has more to write.

I love it that Becky kept calling the big, bad-ass alien warrior "cupcake"! Another great read in this series.

Loved this book. I really cannot get enough of this series. I have read every book and they just keep getting better. I like that we are able to catch up with the characters from previous books. The interaction between Huck and Becky was so funny at times you just had to laugh. I also love how the books do not end in cliff hangers, but you have taste of more to come from this series, like who will the next book be about. So looking forward to the next book. Highly recommend this author and her books.

I thought this would be like some of the others I read. I really liked the virgin alien aspect of this series, however this one is not like that. Castians are usually very sweet and loving too but it takes a while to warm to this H. Him strangling the h doesn't help lol. He is a Tonan but a half breed. He is different though. His mother was a good Tonan but father is a pure evil Tonan. He refused to give his son part of his shield, which left the mother unprotected. She found another male who was 1000 years old. He took her as a mate and was able to give her child a shield, he too was a good Tonan. Huck had a different relationship with his shield, it spoke to him and everything.

What made this book was Becky Fucking Ass Kicker. She was amazing! Strong, brave, and hilarious. She kept calling them cupcake because one almost killed her as a kid. Becky had an amazing father who taught her how to fight and be an amazing woman. They lost her mother and when Earth began falling they explored together until he died in a mudslide. She dreams of his death every night, him begging her to turn around and telling her how much he loves her.
The story took a while to get to Cobra, and that was a battle. Again Becky was great with him.
She only bonded with Huck, she didn't want to mate yet. But they did conceive a child.
When Huck's old captain returned and captured Cobra and his mate everyone blamed Huck. Then Huck and Becky were taken as well. The book dealt with Huck not knowing how to love because of the evil in him. However he made the ultimate sacrifice and got rid of his shield so he could lie and save Becky. The hero's won the battle and Huck had proved himself to Cobra, but he had no shield and couldn't be a warrior. He struggles with this new life so completely different from his old life. Him and Becky learn each other like humans do and grow more in love. When she gives birth to her baby boy he bites his fathers neck and his shield comes back. It never vanished just went into his son for safe keeping.
In the end this was a good read and I'm glad I gave it a chance. Especially the end when they finally Bond. Afterwards he finally enters her nightmare and they find out that her dad was always trying to tell her to look behind you, your knew love and home are behind you. Huck also say his family, and his step father told him he was proud. Bonding with her destroyed the last of his fathers tainted blood, and they lived happily with her calling Cobra cupcake!

This started sooooo freaking good! The characters had personality. They were real and up front about what they wanted from each other (him mostly) and she was hilarious!

So funny!

Then they met Cobra. I honestly, truly, in my little smutty heart believe that these characters fell a little flat once Cobra came into the picture. It was like Scholey wanted to tie this up in a pretty bow, but realized the end was near and rushed it. The humor was lost and I it just became bland.

Favorite Quotes from this:

"'you were headed somewhere before you rudely interrupted yourself'"---I can relate

"'Go fuck yourself.' 'I can't mate me.'"--ha!

"'Holy fuck,' Becky screamed and took a step back.
That's right human female, be afraid, little ass kick, I'm a bigger ass kicker.
'Oh, my God, are you ever ugly.'
Huh?
'You're not just ugly, you're U-G-L-Y. Butt fuck ugly, nasty bad ugly. Shit ugly. I bet when you were born the doctor slapped your mother.'"

It started so well, but in the end it didn't reach its potential.

This book had me from jump!

It still has editing issues like all the rest in this series but damn it was a strong story! I love the a$$kicker and I loved the cupcake!! I became so completely invested in these characters!!!

While I was extremely disappointed with book six and the course that book took, I can enthusiastically say that this book was amazing. I LOVE angst ridden characters and because of the wildly fast pace of this story it was not dragged out ad nauseam. Each part of the story played each characters emotional pain to the right degree and to its next logical level.

The author has a greatly creative imaginative series here and although I have enjoyed each book so far I have to say this is my favorite to date. I will most likely reread this book a few times more. Enjoy☺️.

This is the jewel of the crown. I just adores the chemestry between the characters. The hero is lovable in all his evil ways and his way of thinking is faultless. The plot and development are amzing I just adore the stories that revolve around the evil cousins, I would actually preffer one of those myself, I think.

Wonderful Storyline

The development of the story and the characters in this series is truly enjoyable...action, laughter, tenderness, and depth all contribute to create a few hours of great pleasure. For me personally, I could do with far less sex, but the different stories threaded together can't be faulted.

This story was so interesting and fun to read, I just went and got book 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 of the series.
The characters are easy to relate to even being from a different world. I stay away from stories that make me cry. (I never watched Lassie or Old Yeller) But this author has a way of surprising you and pulling on your emotions as you read.

Wow, was so not ready for the emotions in this .

I love this series but this one was by far the best. Unique, in that this one is such a great story, those who haven't read the previous books will understand the plot and enjoy it. Was not expecting to feel such a wide range of emotions, humor, amusement, grief, fear and hope. Not often a story reaches in and smacks me upside my head. The best part oddly enough, was when we finally see what Becky dreams , the death of her father. Such sadness and pain, and yet the message of love was always waiting to be understood. The last painful memory, was in fact the happiest and a glimpse into what we all hope we will experience when we die, unending love , and our family with us. I cried reading this, and for the first time since I have survived grief, I finally understand death isn't the end, it's a new beginning. We will always feel pain when we lose someone, it's just a matter of time before we are reunited. Can't wait to see what the future holds in the New World Universe. , Connie, this book is awesome. Don't stop writing, take a break occasionally, when you need a break, keep working ! :)

GOD..THIS IS ABSOLUTELY WITH OUT A DOUBT...FABULOUS,FANTASTIC AND FUNNY!!

C.L.SCHOLEY you've OUTDONE YOURSELF...BRAVO!!! I'd give this fantastic addition 20 Stars!!! I've been enjoying this series so very much but just trying to decide which one is my favorite just challenges me when each addition brings a new dimension of enjoyment for me. Although I will say MINE has won the front spot for now. Can't wait to see what happens next and who's going to be involved. Believe me when I say you're gonna LOVE reading this book and you'll be launched into laughter more with their conversations and interactions between the two main characters!

An emotional ride and who would have thought so with a Tonan!
Huck is a bad ass Tonan who is struggling with his own identity when he meets up with Becky a Kick ass chick fighting her own struggles after loosing everything.

This story makes you want to cry for the loss and cheer for the victories. Loved the ride even when I was slightly upset at the sacrifice Huck made for his family. I only hope there is a Finn in the future too. ;)

Thanks for the very entertaining read Connie!

Fun for the story continuity of The New World series and the inclusion of characters from Unearthly World, but otherwise this book was more annoying to me than the others. First of all, Huck and Becky?, really?!? I must have missed the point there, because it was just silly IMHO (not to mention there's a "Finn" in the Unearthly World series.... *eye roll*). Secondly - and more important really - the constant fighting between Finn's "good" and "bad" parts became tedious. It's an important part of the story I suppose, but just didn't work for me.

These books just get better and better

I have Read all the books in the series and they get better as you go along. The stories are very Well plotted and well-rounded and have a lot of excitement and interest. I love the characters, both male and female, and I'm always anxious to see where the story ends up. I like the fact that there are several different races in this universe and each one of them has interesting stories . I would give this an excellent recommendation if you like a good well-rounded love story

Wonderful read

I loved the characters and how they evolved. Huck went from being a badass warrior who decided he needed a mate to get into the winning side of a war to a man who loves his mate enough to give his life to keep her and her unborn child safe. I picked this to read not having read any of the previous books in the series and picked right up on story. It is an adventure, a romance and a story of personal evolution. I found it very hard to put down. I will definitely look for other reads by this author.

Not sure why I left this in my TBR pile for so long but I'm so glad I final got around to reading it. I just spent the last couple of chapters or so wiping away tears. I really enjoyed the growth of the characters.
What a great addition to the series.
There is one section in this book that nearly made my head explode. They stop at a couple of different planets on their way and sometimes it made me feel like the story had kind of skipped a bit but the part that did my head in was what I refer to as the ghost planet...way too deep...but very imaginative too.

Becky is fantastic!

I adored Becky Kickass she is a fantastic hero. The travels she and Huck- her half evil Tonan cupcake- get into are a strong mix of amusing and heart tugging. Connie has woven an entire world that spans two series(for now) that I absolutely cannot put down. There are other things I really adored about this book- but they are spoilers , please read this book and her series! It is soooo worth the price plus some.

Emotional rollercoaster

C.L. Scholarly is one of my go to writers for a reason. Excellent storyline, well written story in the New World Saga. A Half breed warrior who tries his best to overcome his heritage as a monster. A human female trying to escape a dead earth and the loneliness in space since losing her father in the end chaos that followed. Few books will bring me to tears, this one did. Highly recommended.

One of her best yet!!

I started reading this book hoping it would not be like the previous one in the series and was not disappointed. This was probably the best in the series so far. Can't wait to read the next one. If you're looking for a good alien read you will like this series.

I have really enjoyed this series. In my opinion they books got better and better as they went. The only real complaint I had was book 7 should have been 6 and book 6 should have been 7. I don't like going backward in a story. If you decide to read them then I would suggest you flip the order of those two books.

Best book yet

This is the best book of this series. I laughed out loud and cried, a lot. The main characters were written with a lot of feelings so you are able to feel their pain or their happiness. I hope the story continues.

This book took such a different road than the previous novels in the series. I really enjoyed reading it. I stayed up most of the night to finish it. The thought put into this story is appreciated.

ETA: On re-read some of the stories aren’t as good. I still think this one is probably the best of the lot.

Absolutely brilliant. Unforeseeable twists and turns, the sacrifices this male makes for his mate by the end of the story are astonishing and heart breaking. Loved Huck and Becky, they were fabulous together.
