Gardening is now the favorite leisure pastime in America. Homeowners are realizing the health benefits derived from gardening, and the resulting increase in their home's property value. The Gardener's Guide series provides credible information on the plants that perform best in specific states. Gardeners will find information they can trust and use successfully in their own gardens.

I dont buy a lot of books but this is a must! This is a great reference book. Reading McKeown is like talking to an expert at your local garden center... a wealth of knowledge.
Good overview of common and less-common annuals and perennials for the new gardener. Not sure why I bought a copy, except MORE GARDEN BOOKS, but I re-read it to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Author is enthusiastic about hybrids, if that's your interest, but this was published in 2001.
