This story was a bit of an emotional roller-coaster, and as usual, Ms. Savage gets the mix of sex and story just right. The conflict was exciting, and the characters and their relationships are well drawn. I love the strong females, and the sweet, almost perfect men. There are enough jerks in the world, I like to read about the good ones. Sweet and spicy. Mmm.

I hate to give anything away - no spoilers from me! - so I'll just leave it at that.

Another great story from Vivienne Savage.

The story was not bad for the most part, and the chemistry between the main characters was sexy. However I couldn't get past the type of shifter this book was about. I can get behind werewolves or dragons, but mythical seahorses the size of regular horses was a bit of a stretch for me. It sure seems that some authors are just trying to find something weird that no one else has written about yet. And a horse with flippers and a fishtail just doesn't seem sexy to me.

A promising idea but the story itself was not very deep or developed. I didn't really feel any connection with the characters, not even between them.

What an amazing surprise. I received this book for an honest review. It was so awesome. I have read several different types of shifter books but this is the first about a water horse aka seahorse. If you have read books that this author has wrote then you know she always does such an amazing job and she never seems to disappoint.
Alessa was this amazing beautiful curvy woman. She loved the ocean and the sea creators. She had a respect for it as people should in her type of work. Alessa was very special and very acceptant of shifters. She knew better to ever tell anyone of the secret of shifters in fear that she would put them in harm’s way or that they might eat her..LOL
Dante was this seahorse shifter. He has a love for the land as much as his mother had when she was alive. He was also Alessa’s best friend. Ever girl longs to have Dante’s attention. He is a surf instructor at Teo’s resort and is very gentle on the eyes. Dante is stuck between a rock and a hard place. He must take a mate and have a child. If he does not take a mate then he has to become a guard for his herd which is like a death sentence. If this happens he will never be able to return land and never see the man he calls his grandfather or the woman (his best friend) he loves ever again.
Dante decides to ask his best friend Alessa for a baby. He has kept his feelings at bay for so long and still does not want Alessa to know how he truly feels about her. This has to take Alessa back. She has to decide to give herself to Dante and give him a child or send him to what could be his death and know beyond a shadow of a doubt she will never see him again. Could she stand not to see the man she loves ever again?
I loved Teo. He was this dragon shifter. He had a good heart and had a love for nature. He thought the world of Alessa and Dante. You will read of Teo’s protectiveness, compassion, and wisdom in this book. I think he plays just as much of an important role in this story as much as Alessa and Dante does.
You will find this story to be very heart warming. FYI, I so needed a box of tissue during some of the parts. I cried both happy and sad tears in this book. You will meet so many wonderful characters in this book and maybe one or two you might even hate. You will read of happy times, sad times, and trying times. You will find hot and steamy parts along with carrying, compassion, sacrifice, and true love.

How cool, hippocampi (water horses)! This was a unique story and the first time I have read about hippocampi in something other than a mythology book. There was magic, dragons, a beautiful tropical island, romance, sacrifice, compassion, an evil villain, unique shifters, and a cast of fascinating support characters. What's not to like. There was just enough angst and action to keep me turning pages until there were no more. The mc's Alessa and Dante were compelling and the interplay between the two was believable and selfless.

What a wonderful, enjoyable story! I am used to reading shifter stories, but had never had the pleasure of reading about the mythological creature hippocampi. I must say that they are a different type of shifter but just as sexy.

The story had me enthralled from beginning to end and even had me crying tears of joy. It was magical, from the magical array of creatures, to the topical location. I am so looking forward to reading more of the hippocampi and this tropical paradise.

I highly recommend this book, it will keep you glued from the moment you start reading.

What a unique story by the fabulous Vivienne Savage! Right away I was pulled into a story and transported to a world like no other. I love the mythical element throughout the story and the characters are pretty amazing! You can’t help but become attached to them.

This book is amazing and I promise you, you won’t be disappointed. I recommend reading the other books in this series as other characters make appearances here and there. This book didn’t disappoint and I highly recommend reading it! 5 golden stars!!

I really thought this kind of shifter story was going to be a bit out there for me, but i was so wrong. A giant seahorse type animal and an ocean scientist come together as friends. But she has no clue until he asks her to do something extreme for him. Amazing story that grabbed my emotions and had me believing anything could be real. A great HEA, with help from a few other shifter fiends.

A Sexy read and well written. I have bought into this world so thoroughly that I would sign up for the dating service. So back to reality... I loved Dante and Alessa's chemistry and how they came to be a couple. It was like ice cream in summer. Sweet and doesn't last long enough!

Meh. Not horrible. Not great. The author told us a lot of the story. Dante and Alessa never fought-which didn't make a lot of sense.

And why didn't she just go to a nearby spot in the Med when Dante and the herd left?

Hippocampi

This is the first story I've read that featured hippocampi and it has been an interesting experience. Myth and romance were blended well and the world was wonderfully peopled.

Making Waves was a fantastic read. Loved Seeing Teo and Marcy make an appearance.
Alessa is a scientist working for Teo, her friend Dante makes sporadic appearances at the resort for work as well. Being friends makes things tough to know if taking things a step further will help or destroy their friendship.
When Dante asks Alessa for a favor, neither one of them was expecting to end up where they are now.
I loved the shifter side of this story because it is not your run of the mill shifters.
I really love the fact that so many of Vivienne's characters make cross overs into hr other books, it ties all of her books together.
