"Googie" is the story of George Hollinger (aka Googie), a quiet, shy, awkwardly tall young man who lives in the small New England town of Grimsby. After Googie’s mother dies, he starts adopting pets that inevitably die through strange circumstances. During this time he befriends Emma, a young girl who works at her mother's pet store that Googie frequents. Through a series of flashbacks, the titular character shares recollections of his sheltered life and how he discovers Emma’s dark secret, one that ultimately leads to his liberation from the past.
