Brother of the great MacIntosh chief, Calum MacIntosh believes virtue is the most important gift a husband and wife can bring to a marriage. He is prepared to join his name with another noble lady when the time is right, until his path crosses with the enchanting lady’s maid, Gwendolyn. Despite his efforts to forget her, he is drawn to her as though an invisible tether connects them.

This is a Highland Chiefs Novella, book one, about Gwendolyn MacGregor whose family was stripped of their titles, wealth and lands due to her greedy unscrupulous Uncle who throws away their family fortune. In turn at a young age she and her sisters and Gwendolyn into service for the Chief of the Chattan Clan where she is personal maid to Lady Aileana to help support her family.

The hero of this story is Calum MacIntosh the brother of her ladies betrothed. It is also the story of instant attraction and chemistry which sizzles across the pages. Also at one time a man like Calum would of been attainable for Gwendolyn but now there social classes did not mix, yet that doesn't stop Callum for his pursuit of this fair maiden. Also he is of Christian beliefs and she with a pagan beliefs though this also doesn't seem to bother Calum in the least either, This story was so much fun to read and I loved the twist and role reversal as far as sexual experience is concerned. As Calum is the virgin and Gwendolyn is not, this is when the couple are put to the test as Callum has a hard time understanding or accepting or even forgiving her past. Will he? Plus will she be able to forgive his not very accepting and narrow minded view not to mention some harsh vile words he attacked her with. Will she be able to forgive and forget and move forward? You will have to read this captivating, dazzling story and find out.

I found Gwndolyn's background pagan beliefs and healing abilities and so in tune with the earth which I also loved and seeing and feeling one's aura was absolutely fascinating. I really enjoyed reading about this unique and interesting character.

This was quick paced fast moving enchanting story that was totally delightful and so much fun to read! Highlander Bewitched by Kate Robbins be released on 9/23/2015. I highly recommend you read this exceptional novella.

Wonderful book and so much packed into a short story. A way to take yourself away for the afternoon. This is a story of Love at first sight, and the troubles with it might bring if you are set in your ways.
The story line was well done, the plot was good and it is deff a part the Highland Chief series. A couple side character get their own story. Worth every bit of reading. If this book does not get you wanting to read the Chief series I don't know what will.

She has a talent for writing and it is worth exploring her books.

Fabulous

This story gave a voice to two characters that deserved their story told. Their love is strong and pure. Even if no one saw it that way in the beginning. For a fantastic twist in you normal historical romance Kate has done it with such surprises you'll never expect. She really makes you think about what it would really be like to be a lady in that time and how you would withstand the strict bias rules. And how would it turn out if those roles were reversed. Opened mindedness was not a popular option then but our lover would not have made it without an open mind.

I have to admit I chose the the book for its cover. I have a similar amulet and really like stories about healers.
I liked the story but as I feel happens with all novellas, it was rushed and could have a built the story better.
It was a good story, it is always interesting when typical roles are reversed.

Precious romance

Highlander Bewitched is a novella by Kate Robbins. I enjoyed the story. It felt like the story of James was a bit rushed, but I still recommend this book.

I liked it

I liked knowing what was going on with Gwen. She is mentioned in the other book and that part of the story seems finished. I do wish the story had the flow like the others did. But it was good.
