Dropping out?
This book is perfect for any student thinking of dropping out or for their parents. I love how Cynthia talked with this boy in his own language and without judgement. He was able to open up to her and she actually made him think. Sometimes it's difficult to do the hard thing like studying and doing projects but often students thinking about dropping out aren't thinking about how much harder they are making their lives. I highly recommend this book to others in this circumstance. I am a high school guidance counselor and have similar conversations with students. I'm going to be taking some cues from this book.
