Students at Tsuna's school are being attacked, and it's up to Tsuna and Reborn--on orders from the ninth generation boss of the Vongola Family--to figure out why and take the culprit down. Then it's time for a lunch break, featuring the ever-deadly cuisine of Bianchi, who has a lesson in love to teach. But the big surprise is Tsuna's discovery that a member of his "family" has become a turncoat!
Akira Amano is the author and mangaka of the shonen manga Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Amano began in 1998 with a job at Weekly Young Magazine. She also held a job at Shueisha Publishing Co, Ltd. In 2002, Amano participated in a contest for aspiring mangaka and was one of the lucky winners, with her comic Monkey Business published in Young Magazine. In 2004, she finally found success with the humourous and classy manga Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (or, for short, just Reborn!), and that thanks to her readers' support. This new manga was advertised more and more in Shonen Jump and became a hit. Two years later, her manga was made into an anime series by Artland studios.
Her ideas for Reborn!: Amano had some crazy ideas to entertain readers with. She came up with weird characters to add spice to the humour, a story written especially to be unique, and fast-paced action.

I’m really excited to read “Reborn” from this Vol. because the first battle against serious enemiy started. Also Tsuna got gloves and looked more cool than before! Reborn seriously changed from comedy manga to battle one!
Reborn!, Vol. 8 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next ten chapters (61–70) of the on-going manga series.
The Kokuyo Gang starts attacking the strongest students in Namimori High to get to Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada. Kyōya Hibari encounters the leader, Mukuro Rokudō, but is easily defeated. One of Mukuro's subordinates, Chikusa Kakimoto, finds Hayato Gokudera and fights against him. Despite sustaining major injuries, Chikusa attempts to kill Gokudera, but is stopped by Takeshi Yamamoto.
Tsuna is requested by the 9th Vongola Boss to stop Mukuro, and he is joined by Reborn, Yamamoto, Gokudera, and Bianchi. When they enter Kokuyo's territory, they are confronted by Ken Jōshima, whom Yamamoto defeats. They are later attacked by other Kokuyo students who use their friends as hostages, but they are stopped by Dr. Shamal and I-Pin. They are then attacked, knocking out Yamamoto, by a person who is thought to be Mukuro.
This tankōbon is written and illustrated by Akira Amano. It begins the first real arc of the series and introduces the Kokukyo Gang – the series first antagonistic group. The Kokuyo Gang is a group led by Mukuro Rokudō, who formed the group after escaping from a special, high security jail in Italy which housed heinous criminals who have even committed crimes against the Mafia. Along with the two comrades he escaped with, Ken Jōshima and Chikusa Kakimoto, he recruited other Mafia criminals who were able to break out from the same jail some time later.
All in all, Reborn!, Vol. 8 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more.
the plot has finally started, thank goodness. the filler stuff was starting to get a bit old. so far the new arc seems interesting with some quirky villains and a villain who has a completely unknown motive. hopefully we will get some good character growth in this arc and the plot doesn't go back to being pointless fluff/ filler. overall a good start to a new direction for this comedy series holding off judgement till the series has played out a bit more.
The fun times appear to be over as Tsuna's classmates are under attack from rival mafia families, all trying to get to him by whatever means - so it's time for him to at last toughen up and lead his allies in their first ever no-hold-bars battle! Amano jumps genres, from comedy to action, but keeps the fun cast and entertaining battles plentiful. Can Tsuna's recently formed family handle an enemy that isn't willing to play around?
Salah satu terfavoritku lagi!
#kyah
DAN...... ASDFGHJKLASDFGHJKL
TSUNAYOSHI JADI KEREN BANGET GILAAAAA!!!!
Awalnya aku bener-bener ngerasa kasian gitu sama si Tsuna. Dan malah terbiasa sama karakternya yang lemah. Tapi di sini... Di sini.... ASDFGHJKL DIA JADI BADASS GITU GILAAAAAAAA. Keren banget!!!!
Mukuro bakalan gabung sama Vongola ga yah? *kuharap iya sih*
Seperti apa akhir pertarungan Mukuro vs Tsuna? Lanjut ke vol.9!
Up till now this manga has been very lighthearted. Well that ends in this vol!! There are of course funny moments, but holy cow man!!! The serious turn this volume takes was very surprising!! The battles that are fought in this, truly reveal just how close Tsuna's 'family' are. It really is nice to see to what extent this reaches.
Now, I can't really reveal just who the famiky's opponents are because that will spoil it, but this time. This is no game. These oppinents are out for blood. They are very powerful, even giving Hibari trouble!!
Tsuna and his family just have to make it out okay!!! And Tsuna, eeeep!! He has to be okay too!! The guy has to learn how to fight without the dying will bullet!!! C'mon guys!!! U have to win this fight and make it out alive!!!
I have no doubt that this will motivate Tsuna to become stronger or maybe try to distance himself from the people he cares about. I mean, there have been dangerous guys before, but NOTHING like this before. Just wow. I wish I could read the next vol right now, but arghhh can't!!! And this vol just had to end on a cliffhanger too!!!
Truly, all these last volumes have all been leading to this. This is where the real fight and just the battle for survival begins!
So the dying will bullets are made inside Leon? Fuuta's ranking ability played its role here as students from Namimori are being attacked by rival school Kokuyou by rank (marked with the lost of a number of teeth). It was revealed then that Fuuta was kidnapped by this group. The several fights involving Tsuna's friends and Mokuro's allies are great considering that they are the first serious 1 on 1 fights that they are involved in the series. I particularly like the part where Tsuna had to choose following Bird's demands as he had Haru and Kyoko hostage but Reborn's experience allowed Shamal, Lambo, and Ipin to keep an eye on them while they were away. It's also great how they involved Hibari in the early parts but was handicapped by the Cherry Blossom Disease from what seemed like just another comic chapter. Takeshi's development from one who may die for baseball to someone who can die for his friends is cliche but works well in this case. This makes those Fukushima 50 guys (see current events) really quite normal in Japan. And I really admire the Japanese for it.
Well, the manga took a hard right turn in this book, going from short, one to three chapter arcs generally focused on comedy, slapstick and a bit of character development into something much more like a fighting manga.
Someone is attacking students from Namimori Middle School, in order fo their strength, and it's not long before a friend of Tsuna's is among those targeted.
I love this change in direction. Making a hard turn toward the serious can sometimes be a really bad thing in a lighthearted series, but in this case, I think the seeds were always there for more serious stories, and even with the new tone, they keep it lighthearted.
In this volume, we get to see the bonds of friendship in Tsuna's family truly tested for the first time, which I found to be a pretty enjoyable reading experience.
If you want a crazy, fun read this is the manga for you. I still can never predict what is going to happen in this series. There are new characters being introduced again. These characters some of them have escaped from jail and are working together to take out Tsuda.
This volume has the normal fighting, blowing up things, and the kids Lambo and I-pin doing some wacky things. Also in one big fight you have Bianchi throwing poisonious food.
These new characters certainly are making things lively.
Now we are getting somewhere. All this is leading up to an awesome battle. First they have to work their way up the ladder of Mukuro's men. Then, somehow Tsuna has to defeat Mukuro himself. It is going to take a lot of will power, but I have faith that they can pull it off.
