Abeyance

It's the 22nd of September, and Paris is blanketed in snow. So is Milan, Buenos Aires, Chicago, Sydney, and other cities around the Globe. The Tides are off world-wide - in Indonesia the water receded and simply failed to return. The Sun is growing fainter, as are the moon and the stars, and extremely cold temperatures are being recorded all over the world. Orbiting and Global Positioning Satellites are out of sync - returning unintelligible data - curtailing all air traffic and most communications. The average person is recording an 8 - 12 Lb, unexplainable, weight loss in the last three days, and 11 scientists are in a race, to determine if their Earth-shattering experiment, has shattered more than their recently gained knowledge of the Universe. And if so, can it be un-done.
