When Woodhouse moved to the Caribbean island of Montserrat, he met Robert Ross, a former ad man who shared a life-long fascination with Leonardo da Vinci. They soon teamed up as co-authors to write three historical adventure The Medici Guns, The Medici Emerald and The Medici Hawks. Woodhouse was also author of Tree Frog, Bush Baby, Phil & Me, Mama Doll, and Blue Bone. An ex-R.A.F. officer, he earned degrees in medicine and experimental psychology. He conducted research into the relationship between human cognition and computer architecture.

Martin Charlton Woodhouse (born 1932) is a British author and scriptwriter. He is most famous as a writer for the TV series The Avengers, but he also authored or co-authored eleven novels. He is a former medical doctor, pilot, engineer and computer designer.

El gran ingenio de Leonardo Da Vinci, cuyos efectos y beneficios tenemos en nuestros días, se mantiene a lo largo de toda la serie, y culmina con esta gran novela. Simplemente grandiosa.

Un libro con el que termina la serie de Leonardo Da Vinci, publicado en 1978, a pesar de no haber leído los dos títulos que lo preceden es una historia bastante entretenida. Una historia enfocada en el trabajo de Da Vinci cómo ingeniero militar.

Muy recomendable.
