Metal links lock together to form a strong unbreakable line.
But no link is stronger than that of undying friendship and the family bond.

Renee Michaels and her best friends Toni Montgomery and Tommy Brown have been friends since kindergarten. They have all grown up together on the same block in Detroit. Now it's time for them to move on to High School. Will things change or stay the same as each will explore what it means to be teenager.
Renee finds herself compromising everything she has ever known and everyone she believes in just to be accepted. Sex, drugs and peer pressure will be just a few of the challenges they will have to face together and alone. Who will stay strong and who will give in to the temptations? Will the outside world turn them against one another or will they become as strong the chain that binds them all together?
When one of them discovers that they are about to be a parent it will set of a chain of events that threatens to destroy them all and that someone will not survive.
From every wound there is a scar and
every scar tells a story.
A story that says I survived.

I love Jacqueline D. Moore's writing style. Very soothing read. I enjoy the creative visual gift she has while telling the story. Enjoyed the story line and just when I was going to have a cup of coffee, the last page left me yearning for more to read. Can't wait for the next book, she knows how to keep you coming back for more. Excellent read.
