Robyn's memoir is transparent, tragic and triumphant. Her compelling story keeps the pages turning. Through her Playboy bunny days, numerous marriages and devastating losses, Robyn is living proof that God's love pursues us and is faithful throughout all of life's valleys and mountains and the spaces in between.

Robyn's story is riveting and hard to put down. Told with candor, Robyn is transparent as she recounts life before she met Jesus and honestly reveals that the change He worked in her life was not instantaneous but a process. There are no cardboard cutout characters here! While most of us thankfully cannot relate to such a tragic series of losses, we can relate to living life less than perfectly. Robyn's life demonstrates that no obstacle is insurmountable when we keep our eyes focused on the God who loves us.

I’m a contemporary of Robyn age wise. While she was remarrying and remarrying snd remarrying and justifying her new marriages by adopting her kids to each new man I was getting my BS in Biology and single parenting my 2 boys. My divorce convinced me that I don’t need a man.One son calls me on Mother’s day and Father’s day. I hope the younger generations will see that all that work to land a man can go into improving yourself. Except for my frustration with her choices , it’s an interesting read and well written.

Robyn Dykstra is REAL. She isn't afraid to tell it like it is...to tell the truth with all the honesty, sincerity, and blunt boldness of a woman who has been to hell, but who KNOWS who she is in Christ Jesus. I love that Robyn read the audio for her own book. She has a voice that reaches out through her story and reveals her outgoing, bubbly nature and tender heart. With all my heart, I want to be Robyn's new best friend. 💜

A Life Changed “4-Ever”

“The Widow Wore Pink” is the memoir of the author whose life was completely changed by the unconditional love of the Almighty God. It is a story of love and loss, of forgiveness and trust, and of a deep and abiding faith in God. Robyn’s story is living proof that God will never leave us or forsake us. And for those of us who grieve, it is a story of comfort.

Robyn is beautiful inside and out. Her transparent journey to Christ will inspire and encourage readers to trust in Jesus. You will laugh and cry as you read her wonderful testimony and how God redeemed the junk of her past into the blessings of the present. The author used her experiences to create a ministry to teach and strengthen women who have been called to share their stories. Highly recommend.

I loved this book! Robyn is so transparent about how she felt in every circumstance. She doesn't pain even the good times as perfect but shows God's faithfulness in her life every step of the way. She is funny and down to earth. I found her story to be very relatable and very encouraging. This book is one you can't put down!

I listened to this as an audiobook over a four day span. It was so good! I wasn’t familiar with the author at all and I’m so impressed by her writing! I cried, I smiled a lot. I was inspired to live my faith more boldly and speak out in the name of Jesus. It’s a great read and I’ll be telling all my friends about it!

Having gone through many of the things the author did, it was encouraging to know that I was not alone. She shared how she really felt, not what she was supposed to feel, and what she learned.

As a recent widow, I found this book very helpful. Robyn has survived two husbands and has done so with the help of her faith and community. This was very comforting to me.

I heard this author speak on a broadcast and was very eager to hear more of her story. I found the book interesting but not as good as hearing her speak in person.

Inspiring read. Robyn D. laid her her soul bare in this book. She took the scenic route to Jesus, but what a testimony. Loved it !

One of the best books I ever read! You laugh and cry and laugh again!

It's a book a lot of people could relate to here and there. Robyn faith is so strong and with the grace of our Lord she was able to have a happy ever after with her now husband and children.

Amazing story of redemption. Gave a low rating because of controversial, sensational nature of past life.

Riveting story! I know the author personally, so knew the general outline of the book, but was very interested to hear all the details from her perspective and to see how God brought beauty from the ashes in so many situations.

My sister attended a woman's retreat earlier this Spring and was fortunate enough to hear Robyn speak. She bought a copy of her book for each of us. This is truly a heartwarming memoir of a woman who survives life's tragedies and discovers Gods grace in life's highs and lows. A wonderful testament.
