I finished this book several hours ago. Star celebrated her birthday. Then her parents left to go and celebrate their anniversary and had an accident and.... This man Jonathan appears I did not like him and it appears that in the end of this book that I am could be right and it leaves you hanging there, with more questions than answers. So I will be getting the other 2 when I can to see what happens and to see if this Jonathan turns out to be a good or bad guy.

She's just celebrated her 24th birthday, with friends that were dispersing across the country. She had plans to stay, work the ranch with her parents, eventually taking over, as they got older.
Unfortunately, plans of mice and cowgirls, it came to definite screaming halt, and then another problem arises with a handsome man at the middle of it.
An interesting tale.

Is it Love?

Fast moving , but in reality not easy to get into. A black and white Horse is a Pinto and a Red color is usually a Roan! Note attention is needed on this read!

Good beginning

I was very disappointed that the writer didn't complete the story line and seems to be teasing us into buying a second book.

The cover is ridiculous.

SPOILERS ALERT

The book finished in the middle of the plot. At the end of one chapter, sharp cut, and if a reader wants to know what continues - that's in the next book. It is like one has written a book and then illogically divided into books. If someone wants to read it that way -

I found the characters not built enough, their dialog was silly and did not felt trust-able. The first half of the book is about Star turning 24, (it felt as someone at 16) having a good-bye party with her friends and realizing shes the only one who stays at her parents ranch and is happy about it. She dreams of taking ranch one day, when her parents will be too old, than there's a scene which is a little odd and dramatized - having a chat with dad about her future and dad suggests she could stay at ranch for one occasion first time in her life and let them go on anniversary trip...Come on!? Shes 24 and you want me to believe she has went away for college, is the only daughter and her parents have NEVER traveled to town to get something, do the shopping together and let her check on house/ ranch?
Tadaaa...of course, her parents get in car collision, dad has died and she has to make up mind to either keep her mum on the system or let her die..which is what she chooses. Ok, so she was not that close with her mum and realizes there's brain damage and she doesn't feel like she wanna take care of her parents being "a baby's mind"...cruel, no? Too..dramatic..so, she get the ranch, the funeral passes and guess what? There is this charming mysterious guy who pops there and than visits her, they go on date and one night stand is there. The entire time Sky acts as total idiot, lets the guy lead the questionnaire, bubbles about her life and lets the guy in her house and goes on her own to "animals". Wth? He hasnt even said a proper reason who he is, how he knows her parents and she is open book? Who does that?
Yeah, this review pretty much describes what I think about the novella.

I was very disappointed with this book. I read the entire book and nowhere do you see a connection between the title of the book and the story itself. The book is also not a standalone book; you're going to have to read at least one more book before you know what happens. I was also absolutely appalled at the poor editing of this released copy. Some pages made absolutely no sense. I'd like to think the author did not know the released copy was in such bad shape; if she knew...it won't earn her any positive feedback.

Typos

I would not call this a book because it's really only a few chapters of a book. The story plot is weak and boring . The amount of typos is amazing. Like it wasn't proofed at all. Would not recommend.
