29 year-old spinster Theodora Thornfield has accepted employment as a paid companion to her cousin, Lady Bracken. But she has her older sisters who has married well to fall back on.
I liked that she was no carpet or a pushover and she seems to be quite aware of herself (and honest with herself too)
There are some very funny moments and sentences, too.
